I'm late here but just jumping in to say that IMO Hoarders is one of the best slot of all time.

Play it responsibly (low stakes and don't stick on it for too long) but everything about it is great: Music, graphics, animations...

Bonus frequency is OK, there's always something going on in the base game as well...and both the bonus and the base game have huge win potential. I like it a lot, it's a masterpiece.

Wait until you see their next hard-hitting theme, Mental! Yes, Mental slot.

Delayed from the 17th August to (provisionally) the 31st August due to issues with the game's theme in certain markets.

Looks like a pretty clear homage/rip-off (delete as appropriate) of the 'Manhunt' videogames to me, I'll take a look at it when it's finally released.

I've never known such a busy range of slots. Masters of looking like there's something happening - xways, expanding wilds, bombs dropping - even when no money is being paid out, there's always something happening on the screen. Very clever design.

Then you stop to analyse the last 100 spins, and realise your RTP was 15% and highest win was 3x.

I do like the look and sound of the games, but that 'potential' is so tightly locked up, and base game returns so low, that a decent balance will still probably be annihilated in no time, even on 40p stakes.

I would he happy to play on an alternate selectable paytable with (say) a 5000x cap, if it meant being able to get a decent game time out of the things.

Can I ask, what makes you think that a 5,000X max win cap would suffice and make the slot in the long run give better results? The math would not change. The only thing that would change is the fact you have potential to only win upto the 5,000X bet max win. Sure it might be slightly easier to win the max win. But not if they do not alter the maths of the slot to compensate for the fact they lowered the win cap.

So in my opinion I would say that you would still see the exact same sessions and balance being eaten very fast with little to no play time in either option.

Just my 2 cents anyway.

´The math would have to change.
As it is now the math is made to produce 96% rtp with a 150 000x max win, if that got lowered to 5000x the math would need to change or the rtp wouldnt be correct.
It would become alot less volatile.

They probably wouldnt have 2000x feature buys either if the max win was 5000x.
I mean, 75x max win with a feature buy is not very impressing as it is, but imagine a 2.5x max win from feature buy.

I dont really mind NLC slots being crazy volatile.
I dont play them much, but when i do its because i want to play something really volatile that has the chance to surprise with a 10 000x+ win.
But just going from personal experience, Doa2 is alot less brutal in the basegame, and seems to deliver those 10 000x+ wins more frequently.

I have to half agree with what some people have said, that alot of the new NLC slots are tailor-made for bonus buys and im not in the group of players.

I hope you all had a good summer!

Back from my vacation, so haven't been active at all. All my hours spent on work during vacay has been on the games instead. Fun to see so much activity, even tho the feedback and thoughts are pretty scattered from "utter shit" to "amazing". Love the feedback and the activity!

Mental, as @ChopleyIOM commented, is delayed thanks to some issues with the regulated markets and will be released next week instead (Aug 31st). I'll post some stuff about it in a few days.

What were the issues Pelle, if you don't mind me asking?

Was it around the technical stuff with the game or the actual theme and content, did you have to censor/change anything? (And if so is there any possibility of getting an 'Unrated' cut of the game?)

Just curious really, I don't have any ulterior motives for asking :)

We ran into some problems with a few regulatory authorities. We've also had some discussions with some of the operators in these markets, which caused us to delay it a bit. We're actually live in a few more markets today, compared to just 12 months ago, so there are more opinions from these authorities on the games with a "gritty theme" as mr @dunover called it. Even tho the games are intended for a 18+ audience, some of our controversial themes causes discussions and this time also delay ;)

The Italian market will therefore actually get a censored version of some stuff...

As no one else have, I will reply.

if I understand correctly, slot_zombie suggest having a multi choice game, where he for example can select a game with 5.000x max exposure, and a less volatile game play. Playing the same game, at the same RTP but one of them with 5.000x and the other version with 50.000x max exposure would obviously feel very different to each other, and be completely different math models.

To allocate for such a change, you can not simply remove any win over 5.000 and leave the rest unchanged, nor can you forcefully cap it at 5.000. This would lead to a severely reduced RTP of the game, and quite frankly a horrible game experience. If a game studio would offer such a choice for the player, the 5.000 version of the game would likely see a slightly higher hit-rate, more mid sized wins and as a result a more "balanced" game play. By balanced I mean you sacrifice the very high potential for longer playing sessions.

And it would not be as "easy" as removing all the wins higher than the max win, and adding them as additional 5.000 wins. Despite what Bloaty kept educating everyone, the games run with reel strips and the reels would need to change and the RTP be allocated in a balanced manner.

Short about the game
32323 reel area with default 108 win ways - but it may expand or increase number or ways won when landing the game features. This game is a complex setup with loads of features happening - Fire Frames, Enhancer Cells, Dead Patient multipliers, xWays, xSplit and also xNudge. On top of that we've got Autopsy Freespins, Lobotomy Freespins and Mental Freespins...

Min bet: 20c, Max bet: 100 euro.

RTP: 96.08% (DX1: 94.20%)
Volatility: Extreme.
Hit frequency: About 1 in 3 spins
Max payout: 66 666x the bet from our simulations (~1 in 18M spins)
Bonus buy: 80x up to 1000x.

Fire Frames
1-13 positons that lights up randomly on any spin during the main game, that will both split the symbols that lands within them - but also the activator of the Enhancer Cells.

Dead Patient
Huge symbol multiplier that gets activated when you land 2 Dead Patient symbols. Ranging from x5 to x9999.

Enhancer Cells
Two positions in the bottom, activated by 4 or 6 Fire Frames. Can reveal the following features:
- Patient symbol
- Dead Patient
- xWays
- xSplit
- Wild
- xNudge Wild

Mental Transform
Triggered by the spider symbols on reel 2 and 4 - where they will turn into xWays, xSplit, Dead Patient, Wild or a Patient symbol.

Autopsy Freespins
Activated by 3 Scorpion symbols and awards 8 spins - additional Scorpion symbols with Fire Frame gives +1 spin. Enhanced Fire Frames count in the free spins that is also now sticky to enhance those features and wins. Can be upgraded to Lobotomy and Mental Freespins.

Lobotomy Freespins
Activated by 3 Scorpion symbols and a 1 Spider symbol and awards 9 spins - additional Scorpion or Spider symbols with Fire Frame gives +1 spin. Fire Frames and Spider symbols gets sticky and triggers Mental Transform for each spin. Dead Patient multiplier gets really interesting in this mode...

Mental Freespins
The final destination - land 3 Scorpion symbols and 2 Spider symbols to activate this mode with 10 spins. With everything in the Freespins above, but with an even better upgraded Dead Patient potential that just keeps building up...

Would be interested to know what specific changes were required for Italy.

For now, the only things I have noticed are: there is no quick-spin feature and you cannot lock the reels to perform a quick-spin.
There are several games missing (san quentin, infectious5, xways hoarder, mental, elpaso gunfight) probably the various `` censorship '' will be applied to those games.

@NolimitCity - Pelle when playing the bonus it plays very fast and I don't really have time to see what's going on there.

Yes that was one of the points I raised in my review of it, I think the bonus round descends into a confusing mess.

I was playing Punk Rocker last night, I don't know how they went from that, to Mental.

Yes yes yes I get it, different themes for different people, not everyone will like everything etc, but even just the slot fundamentals don't work well on Mental IMO.

I tried the new game Mental Junk at Unibet. :puke:

I had no idea what was going on.
The symbols kept changing all the time but i couldnt actually win anything.
I managed 150-200 spins before i crashed.
Highest base win was x10ish and a bonus game that gave x20ish.

The colors was boring.
The theme i didnt mind, but maybe the creator of the game should go there instead?

I might try it again to see if i just had a bad streak but i cant imagine it to be a hit.

I'd suggest you lash it around in demo play at the NLC site, when this slot runs cold it will take you to pieces, and do it with the relaxing ambience of the screams of people being tortured to death whilst it does it.....

I've just tried it on the Nolimit City site.
I can't say the theme bothered me, it's just some crudely drawn pictures after all. But the mind-numbing gameplay did bother me.
There is absolutely fuck all going on in the base game. There's more life in Starburst.
I have no idea what happens in the freespins, because once I reached them, upon pressing 'continue' the game just reloaded in mobile phone mode (base game) from playing in browser mode.
That happened twice, so I gave up.
At least I know now not to bother playing it with real money
