Official Hi! We are Nolimit City!

Im just wondering that what is "wrong" with this slot?
You play videogames made from war and you watch movies made from war. So why it's so bad to play slot which has war theme?
this one is not videogame or movie when it ends you restart, it happen for real, about 2m ppl got killed

There have been, and will be, hundreds of war movies and series that are based on true events tho. Some even with dark humour.

Not saying this slot theme is appropriate but there's lots of "entertainment" based on people who were killed for real.

My apologies to all my friends here that feel offended, but i tried out the slot for a few hours, and found nothing offensive about it. It has nothing to do with Ukraine and Russia's current crisis, and is just a funny pisstake on communism, and world leaders taking themselves a bit too serious as far as i can see. And i kind of like the basic ideas of communism, but can still appreciate the humorous take on it.

Cool sounds and graphics as usual, and although i can agree the timing of release seems somewhat unlucky, i assume they had this one already done, or almost, before the whole shitshow started, and then probably didn't want to bin the release, or redo the theme etc., so just went with it? And i can see why that would turn a few heads, but honestly, i don't feel it's warranted at all.

Those of you that are vocal, and are basically accusing Nolimit for shitting on everything and being malicious: have you actually played it?
Those of you that have, and still feel shocked to their system, maybe a social media/media break is advisable, or maybe a snowflake self-test? :p

Just taking the piss myself with that last remark, but i mean....
Don't we have enough nannying (there where it's the least needed, and sensible) already?
If you want to feel outraged about this Ukraine/Russia situation, the focal point should lie elsewhere, me thinks..

Just my 2 cents.

Maybe the game has no offensive images. And it was never about Russian Ukraine war.

This slot was actually called Vacation in Gulag before the name change.

And you are saying maybe people should take a break from social media etc. if they find it offensive.

Are you for real. Maybe do a bit of research into why some find the idea offensive. A good start for you would be just to google the word Gulag and actually read what it means and what happened to those involved. Then maybe you might see what offends some people before calling them snowflakes based on your opinion from a few spins on a slot with no knowledge of what it is actually themed on.

Seems like it's a mindset/ different outlook dependent on where you are in regards to this game. Whilst we clutch our pearls and generally abhor the notion of this theme in snowflake fashion, others seem less fazed by what they'd consider just another stylistically- twisted title. And you wonder why we Brexited! :p

Fact is, it matters little what you or I say regarding NLC's dubious output; the machine's greased and all stations a-go go, punters are lapping it up, streamers are shilling it like their lives depended on it, and everyone's happy. Only thing left to muse is what 'zany' topic NLC will bless us with in the weeks to come. I cannot wait!!!

It's theoretically possible i hadn't heard of the Gulag before, even more possible i hadn't done any research on it in the past, but as far as research into possibly offensive slot-content goes, i just played the slot, yes. And as said, didn't see anything in there that would offend me. And that is from someone who is actually well able to emphatize with people in general. The Gulag has been a running gag in movies, games and everyday talk. For years. Just like Nazism, Communism, the Church, Despotism and whatnot, have all been topics in various entertainment branches.

Aside from that(@goatwack ), the British are well known for their ability to make some of the crudest jokery on the planet, and i grew up, loving most of it. World war 2, if contemplating, was one of the horrible wars of recent past, but noone really minds Monthy python taking the piss, or say a series such as 'Allo 'Allo...

I certainly didn't mind it! I think that humor is probably the best, if not the only answer to all horrible subjects, that regard the darkest side of humanity. I have found myself laughing at rape jokes, racist jokes, violence jokes, you name it: that doesnt mean i condone any of the subject matter! In fact, it's quite the opposite. I find violence, rape and racism despicable.

Just to make you understand my point of view better - i'm not saying i like all entertainment material with the abovementioned subjects. Some of it is just cheap and/or distasteful. And so, delivery is key. The intent, with which the subjects are brought up, and the extent of the graphicness of said subject, certainly can cross lines. But even then, a lot of that comes down to personal taste, boundaries and standards.

Side note: i was joking about snowflakes, solely based on the graphics and sounds in the slot - but it seems you felt offended by the idea of me saying the Gulag or the war itself were not terrible? And from such a point of view, saying anyone that did find it horrible, was a snowflake? That's not the case, mate. Just saying that if people found any of the graphics or sounds in the slot offensive, then you would be in a world of trouble out there on the net. :p

To be honest you never offended me. I am not easily offended. Like yourself i find many things funny i should not. But this game does not even have anything funny. Actually a poor slot. So why even name it the way they did.

Same as the actual slot does not offend me. It is the company and the thought that they deliberately seem to be wanting to push things as far as they can. First the disgusting priced bonus buys needed to actually get the top feature in some slots.

Then the design and content of games. Mental, Deadwood, San Quentin. Each one trying to shock some people. Do not shock me i find it kind of sad that they need to do that to try sell products.

But the new Gulag slot. I mean who would sit knowing the history and think great idea. Then to actually name it Vacation in Gulag. What like it was a holiday camp or something, Now that is just uncalled for. Then renamed it Remember Gulag after criticism. I mean millions of themes and even war themes they could have used.

In reality they could called it Vacation in Auschwitz as pretty similar. In fact probably crossed their minds and they thought maybe step too far at moment. And if they had named it that would it be okay knowing what happened in those camps if the actual graphics in slot just showed cartoon German Soldiers and a few Star of David scatters awarding free spins. So game plays okay and no real offensive images so nothing in slot to actually offend anyone and soundtrack just the German National Anthem.

Does that make it better if nothing offensive in gameplay if the title would offend many. It is like just because you can call a game something why do it unless you are deliberately wanting to offend.

They could have designed the same slot. Called it Nuclear fallout or something similair. Or even just designed the same slot with aliens for all i care. With the features , huge bonus buys etc. they would still have a hit with streamers.

Sorry but only reason they picked that title was to get the publicity the title received. That is why they are the scum of the casino world.

And none of this was directed at you incrediblestuff just trying to explain why the slot has caused so much Uproar.

Like i said does not offend me. But i know it offends others. And to me any company like that deserves slated at every opportunity. I just hope one day they really push it to far, get enough complaints to Gaming Authorities leading to Casinos Boycotting the provider entirely.

Well i can certainly get behind that mindset, assuming that your feeling about the company was spot on, but i just don't feel the people behind NoLimit are like that.

I agree that Mental was a bit much, graphically speaking (That is actually the one slot of theirs that i would have expected some furore about) but i just don't really play it: i'm sure the many slash-horror fans are loving it though! It's a market segment, if anything. And San Quentin to me is just good fun, thematically.

The bonus-buys are another story entirely. I never been a fan of those, t.b.h., and let's just say they don't really contribute to 'responsible gambling', to say the least. Maybe one of the only good decisions UKGC made was just to bin those :D

Anyway, enough said - we can always agree to disagree! :D

This company would be destroyed by lawsuits if they dared to use the word Auschwitz instead of the word Gulag. We, the descendants of the victims of the Gulag, are not united and do not have even a hundredth of the power and influence that the representatives of the certain nation have. So, go ahead NLC, do whatever you want with our painful memories. You will never be punished. At the end- it is always about power. Only. Morality? Nobody really cares.

I don't get all the hate for the Gulag slot. What's the difference between a slot and a video game which are both entertainment and a discretionary pastime? None.

If you don't like the dark theme just don't play it.

If you read through some posts I think it may become clearer why some have an issue.

It's not something you make light of and expect people to be ok with.

I don't know of any games that make light of the horrors. A black comedy theme could have been done without direct reference to a specific event and achieved the same result, but without careless offence and controversy.

It was made to be controversial, so the end response is hardly surprising.

I haven’t played any slots for the past 4 years and the first thing I noticed lately is how everyone is into Nolimit games lately and decided to give them a try and focused mainly on Tombstone and Deadwood.

My first big score and probably by biggest in terms of multiplier ever was on Tombstone.

I continued playing through the week on both Tombstone and Deadwood and hit two more of those Sheriff scatter scatter scatter Marshall bonus rounds but not quite as good as the above.

I thought I was never going to get this on Deadwood and finally a week later today I got into shootout. I just can’t imagine how it would feel if all these fall at the same time. Still don’t think it will ever happen to me.

Also I saw earlier posts about deadwood having 2 versions and videoslots have the lower rtp version? Is it still like that currently? The Deadwood shown above was played on vs btw.

I have a great idea for an edgy slot theme. 9/11

No? Of course not, no one would dare. I mean it's a "western" tragedy. Can't have that.

Also, if you're a grown ass man and still have to try and be edgy, then something went wrong. The time to be edgy is in your teens. It's just sad when adults try to be edgy.

I only recently started to play NL games and really enjoyed them. The ones I played were mostly high variance meaning I had to be very patient for that big win. Creative slots.
