Hi Everyone!

I am totally new to this place, but want to get more active. Can someone
please explain:

1. How do I thank people?
2. What Rep. Power is used for and how to get it?
3. Difference between Rep. Power and Reputation points?

Cheers,

/ Ym

Hi and welcome :)

After you have made 10 posts the magic 'thanks' button will appear. As for 'rep power' and 'rep points' they are not actually used for anything as such. You get them through a range of activities like posting, blogging, making friends etc. Members are also able to award them to each other. I suppose they are most useful for seeing who the more established and trusted members of the site are. Perhaps someone else can explain the exact difference between the two better, as I've wondered too :)

now on to you Rena :)

Click on the 'settings' button in the top right of the page. (The mistake I think most people make is going to 'my account')

So to set your avatar click on 'settings', then on the new page that takes you to look in the column on the left hand side. Hopefully you will see all the edit options there that you need. If you get stuck, feel free to PM me and I'll walk you through it.

Rep Power is how many points you can give/take from the other member.
So for example, if I were to give you a good rep (HIGHLY unlikely! :p) you would receive 247 rep points.
Whereas you only have the power to give/take 30 points.

KK ;)

It's getting crowded with Swedish people:eek2:

Welcome ymmot (strange name)

:)

Checking again, it wasn't strange at all. Probably me that is backwards today:oops:
