Hi,

I am Balamb and wanted to say a quick howdy to you all.

I am currently studying a specialised mathematics degree in a UK university and my dissertation is going to be on statistical analysis used in online gambling.
I don't play many slots games but I have friends that do and I have become fascinated on how pseudo random numbers can be used with built in reel band margins to produce a randomly running game that favours the operator.

I have been looking into Danger High Voltage as it seems to be a highly successful game and there is a lot of knowledge on the internet on how this game works which should help with my analysis.

I have already learnt the theory of how these games work and I believe that as they use pseudo random numbers starting from a seed it may be possible to predict streaks on games to know when to play it and when to refresh to get a better seed. This is the aim of my dissertation.

The result maybe that they are unpredictable but that is still an acceptable outcome for me as long as I evaulate everything correctly!

Welcome to the forum. I will be interested to hear you findings. There was another guy who posted quite a lot of info on DHV regarding reel sets and different reel sets used during bonus rounds.

That was interesting but he seemed to disappear as quickly as he came. Although I don’t read all threads so I might just of missed things.

Keep us up to date with your findings as I find it intriguing to say the least as to how slots work and just how random it all is.

Thanks for the welcomes! If the DHV reelbands are already known then that would really help me as my next step was to try and get them from server responses

That’s good to know. Maybe you could point BALAMB in the direction of the post you made. I think it’s on the slots discussion forum sometime in May or June? I will look if I get a minute later.
