Non-Bonus Complaint Help please advise. Self exclusion and losses.

Thank you for your advice and encouragement. My story is actually very interesting. With regards to that money it was immediately sent to whom I borrowed it off- the payment was quick enough to replace the funds taken without them noticing. Me personally I don't have any funds at moment.

I can so relate to the advice. Upon my dark moments last week, its the closest I've been to suicide since 2015, I was further reflecting on my story. I literally had made it as a pro gambler for a period of 14 months or so not too long aho. Until things went downhill.

I guess it was that life that caused these blips. I was travelling constantly, living a good life, etc. No never a millionaire or making stupid amounts....but an income enough to travel with no risk.

Its good to read the successful outcome to your OP. Have a good life and try to avoid putting yourself in situations where you could find yourself super stressed in future. Adrenalin rushes too often involve big risks. Just have a jam sandwich and a cigar instead

The UKGC would not 'have ruled in your favour' as they are not an arbitration service! You would need IBAS or an ADR for a specific claim. The UKGC would however be interested in license breaches by any casino(s) they have licensed although like I said their RG rules are like a Swiss cheese hence the situation you were in. You were lucky, even more so given you stole money and were able to replace it - it wasn't 'borrowed' at all!! Please accept your problem is so severe that you have turned into a thief; I mean that in a positive way not as an assassination of your character as a person. What you did was no different to a smackhead stealing jars of coffee or razors from a supermarket and flogging them for their fix. When you committed that theft you were no more likely to pay that money back than the smackhead above would be in returning the shoplifted goods to the store. It was the fact that there was the SE issue that made things pause and allowed you look back at the compulsive acts you did and redress the situation.

If you don't take control of yourself then the courts soon will when you commit another theft or card fraud or anything illegal related to your compulsion. Mental health issues will bear little mitigation when you make calculated decisions to deceive or steal. So don't kid yourself you STOLE and however you justify it the term 'borrowed' cannot be used on anything or money YOU have exclusive ownership of, can it? It only applies to someone else's sole or joint property and if you had borrowed it, it wouldn't need sneaking back would it?

You couldn't win even if you had've won and been paid as it wouldn't be money but just the means to gamble next time, the stake. People in your situation can NEVER win in any sense of the term.

So yes, I'm being brutal not in an offensive way but so hopefully you can get an idea of how pathetic this situation looks from the eyes of others and my words may reiterate what you really already know - how badly you need to stay away from temptation. Don't waste time regretting existing net losses or any debts accrued, but try and focus on tomorrow as a day you will and have beaten the demons. Good luck with quitting - none of us here win in the long term, and neither can you; to a man we'll all tell you that.

If it were my cash they'd 'borrowed' they'd get more than a cigar from me....or let's just say they wouldn't smoking it in the hole they expected to.

Seriously, the OP is worrying me in that they are in that deep they will commit acts like described. The problem is all rationality went when wanting to gamble and I get the feeling that the adrenalin rush of taking the money, then the stress of the SE issue followed by the relief at 'sneaking it back' rather than being symptomatic of the problem, has somehow exacerbated it.

I totally agree Dunover. It appears that the guys issues stretch far beyond gambling issues which I suspect everyone who knows him well enough will be aware of. Including the person who allowed him access to their funds.
Personally. I would be more diligent with his access to my funds,but I don't know their full story. Lets hope his issues are temporary
