Help needed in a unusual problem

Strange set of events, and first off I'd not have said it's your fault, I mean if he'd never gambled prior to your visit he may have been a bit 'enamoured' with this appealing new vice, but that's not to say he can go around using other people's user details?

It may well have been the 'catalyst' to get him into gambling heavily but then it could just as easily happened in other circumstances - I got into slotting by accident whilst attempting to buy National Lottery tickets years ago!

And his actions are his own, if I shared food with someone am I responsible if they become obese? etc

More importantly, I'm perplexed as to how Videoslots would even sanction dual-user deposits, nevermind withdrawals. Where is their accountability in all this, because they may well have enabled someone to further their addiction when it needn't have even come to that. I thought casinos are tight on security measures in this 'enlightened & progressive' age......seems not

But really the icing on the cake for me has to be the Smart View application. Isn't that nifty! Amazing what companies think of these days!
Welcome back brother good to see you and your wisdom ✌

Never thought I'd see a Scouser so ferocious! I thought this was a happy time for them!

Won the league, wild celebrations, setting cars on fire, Klopp crying etc
Totally agree, those scousers are normally salt of the earth!..

whenever I use a new card or deposit method at videoslots I have to get them verified everytime, dont see how this account would be any different.

Hi everyone
I've got a bit of an issue going on at videoslots and I'm wondering your opinions on this.
I have my own videoslots account that I've had for a few years. I'm not much of a slots player and use it every now and then.
One night I went round to my mates and we had a slots night at his. I logged in on his phone as he had to use it to use smart view which is a feature that projects your phone screen onto the television screen.
We had the night and that was it, I went home and thought no more about it.
This was around Feb/March.
Fast forward to today and I have checked my videoslots account and noticed deposits and withdrawals that I have not made. It turns out my friend discovered my details had been saved on his phone and he had been using the account to make deposits and withdraw. Upon checking I believe he has deposited around 4000 and withdrawn around 1000.
Videoslots had been taking his deposits off his own bank card for months and also processing withdrawals into his bank.
When I asked him about this he admitted he had used my account with no issues however he is now heavily in debt.
How can this possibly happen? After further digging he admitted he was also a member of gamstop and had previously self excluded from Videoslots!
Had I have known this I wouldn't have ever gone to his for a slot session and I wouldnt have used his phone either.
So due to them not checking his card I'm overcome with guilt as he is now heavily in debt.
What's your opinions on this please?
I've had many different debit cards over the years. But I've never been able to withdraw, without submitting a scan or photo of each new card.

If you log in to your VS account. Go to 'my profile' then 'documents'
You should see any cards which have been submitted and verified.
If the card is listed there. it's been submitted and either approved or rejected.

If the card number is there, approved, and it isn't in the same name as your account is registered as. They may have approved the card, without checking the name on the card. So you might have a case against them.

I think your both in on it and trying to get deposits back
Not trying to do anything at this point. But thank yo
Yep they asked me for that as well each time. Someone appears to have seriously fkd up here though
Look I have nothing to hide! Every transaction is logged by Videoslots. I appreciate people questioning this but i can back every single word! I just simply wanted advise!

I wanted to change my password for obvious reasons and it want overly clear how to do so. I did a live chat with Videoslots to asses how to do this and they asked me numerous questions, I have screen shotted them all. I just want answers to the security of transactions! I think it’s a fair question!

Are you interested in the purchase of any camels...
Good rates, well bred and loyal.

Look man, stop trying to peddle old stock to newbies

Our camel enterprise lived and died with that one punter, but after our heated negotiations it was clear he got the hump and deserted us

I'm not questioning it at all, just stating my experience there and assumed it would be the same for all. There are some skeletons in the closet for VS which I am sure will unravel at some point...

This is the friend's card trick all over, IMO. Sorry OP, but I did this kind of things a long time ago and I am indeed surprised it still works.

I won't describe how (for obvious reasons) but it does. One thing that gives it away in this case:

- Nobody saves passwords on someone else's phone. A message will always pop up which you have to confirm. Now, if the OP is such a casual player, why the need to save the password?

I could list more, but it would just uncover ways to do the trick.

Happy to be proven wrong as always but remember just the last case with GAMSTOP. That OP has gone all quiet: Deposited £74.9k at VideoSlots while SE

Strange that this "friend" is on GAMSTOP too. Just sayin'.

This gives me an idea.. I can ask my friend if I can use his bank card to deposit into a casino of mine and if we win big we keep the money and if we loose a lot we can say I didn't know he was using my account and get the lost deposits back. I could just say the transactions went into my spam folder which no one ever looks at and wham bam bobs your auntie.

Do you not find it strange that Videoslots accepted deposits and paid withdrawals to a payment method that was not in the account holders name?

Colin, we don't know the exact details. So far, I have only seen a story that strongly resembles a trick from yesteryear, but no proof that they accepted the card per se.

And yes, there are ways to get around the name issue. At least, it worked some time ago. That is why I said that I would be rather surprised to see it still working.

You just make it a problem when you lose. If you win, you take the money. If you lose, you claim it back on the "friend's card" trick.

Again, not saying it is the case here and VS could have been indeed so negligent. I will wait for more details to transpire, just like with the last GAMSTOP case.

Ha I don’t have 74p to risk on a scam and I also have a full log on my video slots account of every transaction!

Nothing popped up to confirm anything? I have looked at my account on video slots and you can see plain as day the transactions and all the history of the use of the account.

Regarding saving the password, I genuinely didn’t know it had saved to his device. However should it matter? if someone logs on to your account? Surly someone being able to register a card in a different name should not be possible?I just seek the security and YES gamstop has failed in this instant. CLEARLY my mate has an issue I was not aware of and I feel bad this has happened, bust most certainly not could of my own.

How could Gamstop have failed in this instance when your account was used? If your friend is on Gamstop but not you then I fail to see it.

Good question! I don’t know how it works to be honest and this also needs to be investigated, hence why I am on here asking questions. I didn’t want to steam in to gamstop or video slots with this being somewhat unusual.
