Hi everyone, just thought I'd join this site after reading some funny and informative posts. I never knew this site existed until yesterday and that casino representatives also use it, which is helpful. Unfortunately I have a bit of a gambling problem, I don't know if this is the most appropriate forum, I am aware of gamcare, GA etc, but I thought I might see if there is some practical help here.

Being in London leaves you open to ALL sorts of temptation - not sure if I could cope with that myself!
For e.g. when I was there for the CasinoMeister meeting in February, I popped into the Hypodrome casino at 4pm on a TUESDAY afternoon, and it was fairly packed with people gambling £100's and even £1,000's! :eek2:

I used to be addicted to gambling (in a bad way) 13+ years ago, but now I'm addicted in a "good way" - that is to say I can control what I spend and NEVER (and I really do mean NEVER) gamble money which I can not fully afford to lose and am prepared to lose.

If you are in any sort of debt, then I urge you to not gamble at all and seek any possible help which is available to you. Gambling is NOT the solution to debt problems - 99.99 times out of 100 it only makes things worse. The sooner you realise that, the sooner you will be on the road to recovery.

Thanks KK,

Yes London can be a nightmare in many ways! Fortunately, or unfortunately, I only gamble online, I seem better able to realise the value of money when I physically have to hand it over to someone else!

I have certainly learnt the hard way about gambling to solve debt problems but it's not always easy to stay rational.

You say you used to have a problem? I can't imagine ever being able to control it in the future, it would be nice
