Being in London leaves you open to ALL sorts of temptation - not sure if I could cope with that myself!
For e.g. when I was there for the CasinoMeister meeting in February, I popped into the Hypodrome casino at
4pm on a TUESDAY afternoon, and it was fairly packed with people gambling £100's and even £1,000's!
I used to be addicted to gambling (in a bad way) 13+ years ago, but now I'm addicted in a "good way" - that is to say I can control what I spend and NEVER (and I really do mean NEVER) gamble money which I can not fully afford to lose and am prepared to lose.
If you are in any sort of debt, then I urge you to not gamble at all and seek any possible help which is available to you. Gambling is NOT the solution to debt problems - 99.99 times out of 100 it only makes things worse. The sooner you realise that, the sooner you will be on the road to recovery.
