Looks yummy, especially the doughnuts! I'm a pretty good cook, not much of a photographer though.

I've got quite a number of recipes in my blog, and if you check the Groups, there's one called the Great Big Cook Book. It kind of petered out, but maybe we can revive some interest.

Thank you, actually i used a very long time to find the recipe for the donut, i once bought best donut i have tasted in San bernardino and i was hooked, with many failed attempts i finally made the "perfect donut" lol

i will check your blog Jasmine, looking forward to see your secret recipes :D

Osloking-

I have worked in the food/bar business for many years as well as all the buying for many a chef.

Just wanted to tell you that I very much enjoyed your post and pictures:thumbsup:

Just a fun thing I made for the party tonight:
Use different bright kool-aids for ice cubes and use clear soda for mix...adds colour to the drinks AND flavour when the cubes melt...add a couple different ones to the glass, and the flavour changes as you're drinking

I've gotten another job finally! Cooking in a restaurant AGAIN! I think it's my destiny :eek2:
The fellow that owns this place is a "newbie" to the food industry, he says to me the other day... "Wow, you're damn FAST! and you know your shit!" Uhhh...I've been doing this for 33 years, did ya think I was lying to you?

Cooked up some specials the one day (just simple dishes), the next day he says, man the customers were raving about the food last night, you think you can do that again? Wanted to say, "Nope, think it was a one time deal, sorry!", but I was nice :D Not sure if he has a good sense of humor LOL And you can only prepare so much when you are shortorder cooking and trying to prepare soups, salads and several specials plus doing dish duty all by yourself.

I'm still looking, I don't really want to do this permanently. I would rather sit back and let someone else cook for ME for the rest of my life LOL (Plus it always seems to taste better when someone else cooks it ;))

@osloking...the first pic...is that mussels? and??? It looks really good!!!!!

My favourite dish to cook is pretty plain but...pork shank and stab it all over and then push in garlic into every stab hole. ( I love animals, I do..sorry for the murderous words).

Cook slow and low.

Roasted potatoes with roasted brussel sprouts.

I love roasted potatoes to be really crispy and dark brown...make a gravy from the pork 'juice' .

I like the brussel sprouts to be very tender and well done.

Well, Osloking....I know my dish seems plain and maybe boring but I am missing my Sunday british 'dinner' (lunch in the USA)....and I am starving! lol.

I want your steak and donuts...hand 'em over.;)

EDIT: BTW what's the duck face in the background in the rice pic?
lol its a typical Japanese thing to have something cute next to pictures lol and im half japanese so i kinda have it in my genes lmao!

Its a italien dish called spaghetti "frutti di mare" a seafood dish with white wine and marinara. and yes the mussels is for the garnish :)) its very simple and its sooooooo good :)

well Secret, everyone has different tastes, i love simple and plain food too where the natural taste is in focus :)

my steak is always fine cut of ribeye medium with only sea salt and garlic aroma oil :p

Brussel sprouts with a touch of olive oil and lemon. Roasted potatoes so the outsides are crispy and the insides are nice and flaky (glares at secret2, cause now I have to go buy some Yukon golds to roast LMAO)

I have a few in my blog here at Casinomeister's
I say cook with lots of Garlic & Lemons lol very good for your health.
