Am I being unreasonable or is this slightly vague.

I join Casino Riviera group on Wednesday. I saw the sign up on the fron page and it said $200 for $200.

I joined and deposited 200. I waited overnight and had received a bonus but of 150. I queried it in live chat and was told

Sarah: Hello. How may I assist you?
Carrie: I had live chat yesterday at 10pm GMT with someone because I had only been awarded 150, and not the 200 bonus as offered
Carrie: They told me I had to email, so I did
Carrie: I woke this morning and still no bonus or contact so I emailed again at 8.00 GMT
Carrie: 5 Hours have gone AND STILL no contact and no payment of the extra 50 I am owed
Carrie: Please can we get this sorted now
Carrie:
Sarah: yes we will
Sarah: one momnet
Sarah: moment
Carrie: What sort it or pay me the bonus ?
Sarah: your first purchase was 200 pounds
Carrie: Yes
Sarah: our promotions are as follows : Purchase 50 pounds - receive 100 OR purchase 100 get 150
Sarah: 150 is the max amount for first deposit bonus
Carrie: Where does it say that
Sarah: On the website -

Carrie: Where
Sarah: Bonus money on your first purchase. The following offers are available to you
Sarah: Buy 50, Get 75 FREE
Sarah:
Sarah: OR
Sarah:
Sarah: Buy 100, Get 150 FREE
Sarah: To take advantage of these amazing offers, simply follow the following steps:
Sarah: There
Carrie: No, I want the URL, not what you choose to type
Sarah: www.goldenrivieracasino.com - click on UK flag for UK casino
Sarah: then in promotions - First deposit bonus
Carrie: There is no UK flag, the is a Union Flag but why would I click on that when it says on the front of your screen $200 $200 same as alot of casinos show it in dollars but will honour it to the same in Euros, Dollar and GBP
Sarah: That is correct - up to $200 for $ purchases
Carrie: You go on 99% of the casino sites and they are all in $s. If you play in s they will honour the bonus in s. If there is special requirement for other currencies, they will say so. I did not see the need to click the Union Flag as the website was in the language I understand, English. How am I supposed to know that there is different terms for GBP
Sarah: I realise your point - however on British pound purchases the system automatically recognises currency and awards the relevant bonus ( according to purchase amount ) - unfortunately we will not be able to credit anything extra
Carrie: I understand your system might automatically do this, but that does not escape the fact that your Terms and Conditions on the main page that I entered through does not specify that GBP have their own seperate terms and conditons. Why not put a basic line of text in to say this

Now to be honest, I never saw the Union flag in the corner but to be honest, as I said above, I wouldnt have clicked it as the screen was in my language, English.

Am I being unreasonable here ??

Yes. Very unreasonable.

$ are $, are .
The casino is quite right.
You should have checked before you deposited.

The good news is you got 150% bonus instead of 100%.
The bad news is because you deposited 100 more than you needed to, you have much higher WR.
That's the real reason you're upset, isn't it! ;)

Good luck!

I don't think you're being unreasonable, and as you say almost all other casino sites have the same bonus regardless of the currency, but there's nothing you can do about it. If the casino are reading this perhaps they could replace the union jack with a pound symbol so that others won't make the same mistake.

While I do appreciate your comments I would just like to point out the following. I did a very quick piece of research and checked the T&Cs of sites advertising on here

The above are the 3 sites that are advertising while posting. All three of these advertise in $s all the way through there T&Cs. Not ever do they mention s YET they all honour the Promos in GBP. I could understand them not wanting to honour the GBP @ 100% if I lived in Outer Mongolia, but I live in the UK

Seems the casinos expect all New Players to be experts before signing up.

This is not a go at you Kasino just because we dont agree :notworthy

You are quite right!
I admit I made loads of similar mistakes on my way to being an 'expert'!

Biggest lesions learned:-
1. NEVER assume anything.
2. ALWAYS read all the T&C's before depositing. (VERY tedious & boring! )
3. STILL don't deposit unless you are 100% sure you understand those T&C's.

I wish you the very best of luck in meeting your WR & making a profit!

You are not being unreasonable but the casino is not in the wrong either. Actually GOCC,if you havent started playing yet, you can have a word with the support staff and request that since its a misunderstanding, you should be held to wagering requirements for GPB100 deposit and GPB150 bonus only.

If they only match up to xx amount, how can they force wagering of any extra you deposit? I'd do a major PAB if they did...

No PAB here! It's just an understandable player error - the casino has done nothing wrong.

They say they give a bonus of 150 on any deposit of 100.
But I expect they will still apply the T&C's, even though the deposit was too big:-
1. Terms and conditions applicable to first purchase bonus:
The initial download bonus and the deposit money used to obtain the bonus money must be wagered 15 times before cashing in.
So GOCC if faced with a WR of 5,250 instead of 3,750.

It might be worth GOCC contacting the casino to see if they would make an exception in this case. I've never had any dealings with GR - but it could be worth trying. Nothing to lose!

Many casinos would do this if you deposited more than necessary (eg. 32red) but not most.
