There's nothing black and white about it, it was completely subjective. I wonder how well the decision had been received if Johnson & pals had been let off whilst Starmer wasn't.
Fact is we can go around calling it whatever we choose to, because as we know, changing language is a popular tool when caught out. It's not a social gathering, it's a work event! We weren't getting rat-assed, we had drinks to accompany curry! It was curry night you see! At 'work!!
I loathe both parties and their leaders, but this decision's farcical, and I think the electorate can see that for themselves. Funny thing being, Labour have fooled themselves into believing that the public will wave this away, but chances are, they're more likely to NOT vote Labour at the next G.E.
Because for all the Tory-weariness they have, I suspect they'd rather 'accept' a wrongdoing, with mistakes acknowledged, than a Labour-influenced 'Durham Police' back-slapping exercise. You ain't seen me, roight?
This has more whiff of a carefully orchestrated coup than a County Durham fayre exoneration contest, and the seeds of discontent long-sown months ago, to rid the country of Mr Brexit himself. Naysayers can call it any name under the sun, but it was, simply put, a Remainer coup, a Lefty launch to pave the way towards Brentry.
I believe Labour are in denial if they think this is their moment to shine. I think the upcoming G.E will reflect that
