Oh no! My inbox remains infuriatingly empty....

I keep popping onto the the forum in the hope of a little red ‘1’ next to my inbox.....message from Dunover....but alas, I feel that I am not worthy....

*Supa sobs loudly!

Don't worry I haven't sent them yet, just having a bit of aggro with the PM system which won't presently accept .docx extensions which is what the latest Word uses. It accepts .doc which is the old Word but then loses all its functionality when changed over and similarly I can send the document as a pdf which is equally useless as you'd all need a subscription to edit it, whereas the open Word docx is fine for you to fill and send back, it's all set up for anybody with a copy to edit.

This doesn't prevent me from sending a basic invite though and today is the target. Remember you'll not know who else has been invited to prevent any collusion on opinions which must be totally independent from each tester. It goes without saying DO NOT acknowledge on here that you've been invited!

Remember it's a confidential service and if anybody was aware you were involved you could be approached by forum infiltrators. Yes, it all sounds very MI5 but developers spend large amounts on new game models and a vital premise for the service is customer confidence in its integrity!

Can you not upload it to your website or Dropbox or somewhere, and just pm the link?

Yes, I though of that (as that's what I have to do with my videos now) and indeed it would be a work-around but to a customer this would look pretty insecure if they realised we were using that method and secondly I'd prefer to keep all communication within the CM messaging system and domain thus all security is ringfenced within. I am aware it's quite a simple tweak for Bryan's technical team to action shortly.

If this venture results in fewer games like that abomination Laser Fruits then I'm all for it. I wonder how many developers will use the service, and which ones, and what type of slots they'll want feedback for.

I think that slot is a total sham, purely to just con people into thinking it can pay its bolix off, when in reality the potential never surfaces, even those videos on YouTube show how awful it is when max ways are activated.

Rob :)

 Ruined my fun by saying selected members are not allowed to say.

I had a list of the members i was sure would be selected and the ones i thought had no chance.

Now i will never know how correct i was lol:D. Ruined my fun. But at least i know 100% one that won't be selected:laugh:

Right I have sent the first batch out - as you may appreciate there are a huge chunk of members here in the male 40+ category for example, who are suitable but not all of whom I can add. In this case I have randomly selected enough names for my needs and the others remain in the pot. Any declines or no-replies from the initial batch of e-mails or subsequent drop-outs when the service has actually commenced will be replaced by another name from the pot in order that I can retain sufficient numbers!

Thanks D

I can see the feedback now:

'More boobies'

'$%#&%$#'

'GET ORF MY LAWN'

'In MY DAY, slots had...'

'More boobies'

Or 'this game looks terrible through my bifocals' :D

I am new in the 41+ category and I feel young anyway so feel free to have me on a younger one! :D

Maybe that's representative of the actual demographic of slot players?

Do designers target specific age groups with any particular new slot?
and if so, have you recruited enough pre-teens for any NetEnt games testing? :)

I'd have thought, that the more testers and opinions, the better it would be for the game designers.

What about females in their 40s. Will your group be equally distributed\ represented?
I find that slots ignore us female slotters in any age category. And there are a lot us out here.

In this forum I believe there are very few female slotters that are below 40, and I don't know if dunover knew how old everyone is until he have asked. We maybe are many women playing online but we are far from as many as the men and I believe it will stay that way statisticly too. We're a bit different. We play different and we think different. We are at least in this group at all and that I think is great thinking by dunover the blue :)

:laugh::laugh: Yes, I was hoping that someone would save me the temptation of posting that sort of comment!

OK, I'll try and answer your point and the others made above and below:

Yes, the female/male spread is very definitely heavily weighted towards males of a certain age both here and the casino customer bases. The testers I have got thus far are balanced to represent that so indeed, we do have a near pro-rata reflection amongst those I have contacted. If there's any slight bias in my selection I'd say it's because I've possibly got one or two more females than I should. This may transpire to be moot IF the customer on any given project asks specifically for mainly female opinions, or males from the UK say or insinuates any particular market their game is aimed at. That is why our testers may vary from job to job.

I have also represented as many different countries as possible in my list as we can glean any differences between markets that may occur.

I could have filled the list in 10 minutes if I were to select only UK males aged 40+ for example! It was quite difficult to strike a balance and check all boxes but I believe I am as near the optimum tester pool as I can be. I will also make every effort to spread the opportunity for involvement; for example if there's 2 UK males 40+ in the first job, I will endeavour to use an alternative two in the same category for the next. Many of the age groups as Tirilej stated I didn't know until I received their replies.

I also have a reserve pool to contact to replace any no-shows or rejections and let me make it clear that these aren't second choices but simply those in any given demographic that I didn't select originally but would have been equally suitable!

Ah so that's why it's been renamed GAG.....because a PFGging order just doesn't quite the same ring to it.

I'll get my coat

Didn't know where to stick this. Was doing a review when i stumbled accross it. Since some of us might be embarking on a testing adventure, here's a little info what testing game studios are doing.

The RTP and max win calculations for this slot are based on 224 Billion spins! .....for once we have a number of what length game studios have to go to provide a reliable RTP value.

It is akin somebody spinning a slot constantly on FastPlay with 1,500 spins / minute for 103,704 days or a little over 284 years! Get spinning!!! :D :D

What was the max payout?
Was it even worth achieving?
