Fury V Joshua

So it has been released today that Fury v Joshua will happen on the 11th December - I am sure this will do very well on PPV (or more likley through dodgey firestick apps) but is it just me that feels like this should have happened 5-10 years ago? Just feels like a cashgrab for both of them

I am sure this will be a split decision, with a rematch in 6-8 months time.

The really annoying thing is, that despite moaning about it, I will probably do my bollocks in the bookies

Agree mate - a few years ago this would have been a decent scrap. Shame really that contracts/fight purses/rematches get in the way of some big blockbusters.

Both Fury and Joshua looked pretty lacklustre in their last outings, probably due to father time, so i'd be thinking a shootout ending within 3/4 rounds (gas tanks gone rapid) or a wide Fury points decision and not really trading up

At long last that it has finally been announced and kudos to Eddie Hearn and Joshua by sticking to their guns and ensuring it takes place in the UK.

Even though this is happening five years too late, it should be a good fight as both are on the slide.

This will be on Netflix, so as long as you have a standard Netflix Sub, you are good to go. It is not a PPV fight anywhere

Yeah the UK piece is important on this one - I know they are saying a potentially later start for the US fans, but at least it's not being held in the middle east (not sold out)

Genuine question - is there really significant interest in the US market for Fury v Joshua?

Fury has a name there having fought in the US multiple times (in some very hyped fights) but Joshua only really had one big outing in the US and lost

Apparently it is where Netflix wanted it to be held, plus Dana White trying to muscle into the promotion. Holding it in the States would be akin to having held Hagler vs Leonard in the UK.
