Official FOOTBALL - Premier League, SPL & UK Nations 2024/25

Isak went both games without a shot on target the last 2 times I needed that guy to get a shot on target to complete a bet builder. Fuck that guy ;)
I want him to get his hatrick but I fear that if the scores stay the same he will be hauled off early because we have a game midweek

Its looking like a feisty ending to the game but Newcastle should see it through. I hope Salah scores and Liverpool start engraving there names on the title later on against city. The arsenal bottle job babies have no chance of winning anything again this year. And if Liverpool win or draw its game over for them if it wasnt a week ago already.

I think that we are lucky to have seen that game out. We use too much energy at the start of games and if we are not one are two up early then the opposition are always in with a chance. This years prem is very open for getting a Euro placing.

Come on the scousers and Salah.

1-0 Geordie! plenty more time to hit double figures!
I have been spitting feathers at the commentators creaming their pants at every pass Liverpool make, how poor Newcastles line up is and how the rain hardly touches the fucking Liverpool players.
Fair enough Liverpool are much better than us but its only Mcoist who is trying to be sensible.
I have got a lip on :(

Just trying to wind you up m8 .
To be fair I have always loved Liverpool and treat them as my second team. I had half of the Arsenal team in about 93 visit my restaurant in about 93 and they where mostly hammering it. Its funny how times change with player expectations.

But then Paul Merson and Tony Adams dried out and your takings collapsed.

Barca supporter here so also quite happy we passed 0-1 and play at home but Liverpool takes the cake. They had no right to keep a clean sheet and somehow won the game wow.

@SlamRoyale Glad to get another Barça supporter on CM :P.
It has been some crazy years for us! I still have a lot of pain from the way we broke up with Messi and Suarez, and then how our club became laughing stock of financial mismanagement. Every season getting worse, but luckily we still can count on La Masia for good football :)

BTW dreaming of El Clasico final but I think Liverpool is going to make it from other side of draw! After last night, it is destiny.

A Forest Man City draw will do for the Toon :)

For all of those who are looking to have a few punts at Cheltenham this coming week you couldn't do better than check out the owners/trainers/workers and top punters who post in what was Colinsunderlands website that @The Dude and @Webzcas very kindly overloook for free on behalf of his family. I often check out their daily tips

Another loss for the Wolves later guys or a surprise result ?????

I got 2-2 in my head (and that's being semi optimistic after our awful season) :o
I don't wanna hear about your semi's Jono m8!
I think it should be an easy home win. I have to say there is such fine margins between the top and bottom in the league these days. One or two players can make all the difference. That and injuries.
I hope you stuff the toffees

UL Col :(

Any regular footy better would have gone Arsenal to trash awful Manure. Even with it being at OT

Bit of good news, not fantastic but pretty damn good results this weekend as far as Wolves survival hopes go.....
I think that the bottom 3 now are the ones to go down. The Manure game was good to watch and the bookies may as well pay out on Liverpool winning the title.
My bet was just a free £5 bet builder in Paddy Power so I didn't lose anything. Lets hope they throw me a few free bets for Cheltenham this week.
Anybody having a punt?

Therein lies the hubris of the likes of Liverpool, they've steamrollered their way to the title by virtue of all their rivals' inconsistent form.

City have been a train-wreck, Arsenal have botched another campaign with their powder-puff attack, Villa have been too far behind to ever be considered challengers, Chelsea flirted with a title challenge before Palmer stopped playing, whilst Man United, under Amorim, firmly at the wheel, have been in a relegation battle.....

So when it came to Europe, English teams have found out they're not quite the dog's bollocks after all, especially strange then, that PSG are now Neymar/Messi/Mbappe-less, and still spanked them!

Not really feeling this Liverpool side compared to Klopp's gleaming bravado and fake teeth, there's something inherently unlikable about Slot and his bald Dutch face.

I'm not even sure he can rebuild Liverpool to be challenging anytime soon, with around four to five star players out of contract, and him coming from a farmer's league. We'll just have to wait and see :D

Footage of Arne after being informed that a bunch of losers who never win anything have finally found 1 reason to say something.

It was very disappointing from Liverpool last night especially being at anfield i expecting much more. They came out on fire for 15-20 minutes. After that when PSG scored they seemed scared and PSG were the better team from there on out.

I think Mo Salah shedding some tears at the end could maybe be a clue to this being his last champions league?

Who knows, we shall see.

But Liverpool are a good team but PSG are a better team, simple as that.

The best team won even though I don't like the arrogant French snail munchers, They still deserved to win.

And just to add to this, When Darwin Poonez stepped up to take a penalty myself and I think the rest of the whole world watching knew it was all over.

Be interested to know PSG's transfer and wage bill for their squad vs Liverpool's.

I think Slot is a bit of a cautious manager, in the first leg we could've been beaten 4 nil without Alisson in inspired form.

Hopefully we can get some new signings to boost the attack, another Suarez would be good, how his talent level wasn't noticed by the other big (&bigger) clubs is a mystery, alright he liked an on pitch bite or two but no one's perfect!

And for added context, if you add in a team like Gloucester FC - renowned for being another team better than Liverpool - their wage bill is estimated to be around £7-11K per week!

Let's go The Tigers! 🐯

Wow I didn't expect quite that difference!

Just reading about that player they've got with the long name:
On 1 July 2022, Serie A side Napoli confirmed the signing of Kvaratskhelia on a deal lasting until 2027 from Dinamo Batumi for a reported fee of €10–12 million.

I've noticed English teams don't seem to be able to make or find these kinds of deals, we're further down the food chain and end up forking out 4 times that amount for players who then can't reproduce their form like Hojlund.

From my extensive knowledge of all things football-related, i.e 'Football Manager' :p, I do know for a fact that European teams have less hassle signing non-EU, obscure talents, without silly things like work permits or regulations!

So whilst I've never heard of Kvaratskhelia, teams in Serie A and the Bundesliga can just take a punt on an unknown player from God knows where in a no-risk business strategy, as 10 million Euros is diddly-squat in the modern game....

In fact, I'm sure they do this regularly in view to hawking them to the likes of Chelsea once they have their naturalized status and have had about two good games for the team. 85 million Euros later and Bob's your uncle! 👌

Called Arne this morning an we agreed to let shitty Newcastle win something for once. No worries.
Listen you polemicist from Kent. What is wrong with supporting Maidston instead of supporting a very successful club hundreds of miles away?
The wine is open and just enjoyed me first slurp to celebrate winning the Dan Burn final :P
