I'm getting fucked off with this now, EVERY bit of unsolicited non-compliant spam I receive from now on is going on here and in return I would like the casino rep to show me when and how I opted in. Many affiliate programmes during the UKGC crackdown actually specified they don't want mailers being sent to UK IP's any more, or not anywhere.

Have noticed in the past few weeks a lot more affiliate spam from the BIG casinos compared to the usual Cup-o-Cocoa ones.

90% of this spam is coming through to a e-mail address which is on a contact page on one of my sites. So clearly they are using the old method of e-mail harvesting.

So far, every spam I have forwarded to a affiliate manager has been returned with notice the affiliate account has been closed. So it does work when reporting!

A newsletter from 'igamblingreviews' comes through nearly every day, and no matter how many times I unsubscribe or reply with a polite notice, they take no action.

Dear dunover,

Thank you for the report. As you are one of our partners as well, you know that we have 0 spam policy in our affiliate program. Based on the screenshots you provided we will contact the affiliate partner to provide us with some more details about this campaign and about your subscription in general. Please send me via Skype or PM the screenshot of the unsubscription (if you have the link you can send that as well) and you can also forward to my email address the message in question. This way I will be able to clarify this case quickly with our partner.

We always take very seriously such cases, especially similar ones when one partner reports another partner of ours you can rest assured that in case the affiliate partner can't provide us with enough details we will immediately terminate its partnership with us. Let's hope that this is just a misunderstanding as it looks like a network based on the address and company name provided.

Feel free to report us any similar cases directly to me or to AgentEnergy, sadly, stopping completely such unlawful activities is hard, however, our team will always take immediate actions.

Best Regards,
Norbert

OK thanks for your help Norbert. There has been a bit of a misunderstanding here. It turns out that nearly 2 years ago! I put my e-mail in a site form that meant I could be sent marketing stuff. I get very little spam in the e-mail addy I used because it's not used for online casinos generally. I get maybe 1-2 spams a week and the filter is very good. I don't recall seeing a GDPR request for this affiliate in my mail although I'm assured it was sent, possibly auto-deleted as spam so had I seen it, it would have been opted-out. Lately the affiliate in question has greatly increased the marketing mails to a point I've noticed them. I am assured the 'unsubscribe' tool is effective and have done so and Norbert has assured me the affiliate in question has confirmed the unsubscribe is received OK. It was non-compliant because it was a European mailshot not UK.

So this appears to have been resolved and I shouldn't get any more. If I do I'll pass them on. The main reason that I was a bit confused is the very long gap between when I entered the e-mail address and the marketing stuff began to be more than sporadic, i.e. recently. So the affiliate wasn't behaving outside the rules, a fact that will be further reinforced should the unsubscribe prove to be effective.
