I received this email this morning, from "Intertops Casino"......so I called the number. They told me that I should go play at Jackpot Capital, (which I am well aware is a "ROUGED" casino).......because Intertops is having "technical difficulties".......this does not even sound right, and no I will not play at Jackpot Capital...I did forward this email to Intertops, I will let you know what they say........here is the email I received........Dear Jody

Jackpot Capital paid me within days after winning monies from ND bonus and fufilling the playthrough requirements. I din't have to deposit a dime I have since then though :-((

unless I am being set up, I don't think this is a rogue casino... Beware of those bonuses for 100 bucks though As far as I can see it only applies to slots.
You can play other games but it does not contribute to the playthrough..
My advice forget their bonuses

Jackpot capitol for one is not rouged and number 2, isnt even an MG so there would be no reason for Intertops to tell you to play at JPC

I vote for SCAM.

I have just received a "come back" offer from Intertops, a free $25 and deposit bonus for $75. IF they were diverting players to Jackpot Capital, they would hardly be encouraging me back to the MG version.

If Jackpot Capital are not rogue, they are at risk of becoming "rogue" once Intertops finds about this brazen attempt to poach it's players.

Somehow, a Jackpot Capital affiliate has got hold of the NAMES, and not just Email addresses of "players". Either they have a stolen list of Intertops players, or they have a list of names and Email addresses, and are mailing everyone, hoping to hit players who really ARE players at Intertops.

This is one affiliate who has to be shut down, no "slapped wrist" or a "good talking to".

I agree with you VWM

Thats what I mean, Intertops wouldnt ask someone to play JPC so Im agreeing that it must be some scam by an affiliate

Any chance you could post the headers of this email? Just be sure to block out your email address and so forth :)

You know, I have seen this exact same thing posted on other forums as well. Not about the email, but about a couple of different posters calling Intertops and having a CS rep suggest playing at Jackpot Capital to them.

I'm baffled (like everyone else) as to why a reputable MG based casino would send people to an RTG operation to play, IF their claims are indeed true?

Bryan, is there any chance at all that the owners of Intertops have bought themselves an RTG operation, or a share in one......maybe to pick up the slack of US players they've had to turn away from Intertops itself ie. the banned states? Crazy thought I know, but the only one that came to mind.

could it be a spam email pretending
to be Intertops an it is really Jackpot Capital
an Jackpot Capital phone # that they set in place
an they are just telling people that Intertops
is having problems just to steer people
to go an play at Jackpot Capital

just a thought
some casino's have stooped so low
to get new players

Cindy

The phone numbers listed in the email are definitely Intertop's phone numbers. Take a look at their contact page and compare the numbers to the original post.

You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

So I doubt that Jackpot Capital would send out an email with phone numbers for Intertops in it. But it sure is sounding like Intertops support staff have told more than one person to play at Jackpot Capital.

I can't wait to hear some more on this one.

Actually if they had been more candid and open there seems to be nothing wrong in cross-promotion between casinos. At the present moment, it seems that it is one-way ie Intertops promoting JPC and not the other way round.

King Solomons operates on 2 platforms Playtech and RTG and in the course of their promotions the links lead to Windows casino which are in the same group as them. Sometimes this could be effective because they could be having a bad streak and this would at least customers in their own group.

Business is bad nowadays and different casinos especially at different software platforms could try to team up as would be the case in the commercial world. What they have to do is to be open about it and choose their partners carefully. Whether this is the case with Intertops and JPC I dont know but it does seem to be like that.

Ilbcn...I see you are in the US. Would you mind telling us what state you are in? I'm betting it's one of the 14 (how many is it now?) banned ones.

I really wanna know what the connection is between Intertops and Jackpot Capital. Is it just an arrangement they have? Or does Intertops own JPC?

Sizesnug, I see you are in Wisconsin, and that is one of the banned states. Here's the list, I think it is 14 now.

District of Columbia
Illinois
Indiana
Louisiana
Michigan
Missouri
Nevada
New Jersey
New York
Oregon
South Dakota
Utah
Washington State
Wisconsin

This isn't looking too good for players from any of those states if Intertops was their last MG refuge.

*Thanks to Pokeraddict for the list. I nabbed it from your poker thread.

1. Illinois
2. Indiana
3. Kentucky
4. Louisiana
5. Michigan
6. Nevada
7. New Jersey
8. New York
9. Oregon
10. South Dakota
11. Washington
12. Wisconsin
13. Utah
Thank You & Have A Great Day!!!!
I might of forgot one of them.

they have locked me out because I am from Wis?? I would think someone would of informed me of that before it would happen. I have been very loyal to Intertops, and I am sure this is not the reason. Thanks anyway

You are right Sizesnug, someone should have informed you, rather than claiming technical difficulties. But I doubt whether Intertops themselves have anything to do with it. This was posted last week by Pokeraddict:

https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/microgaming-prima-to-block-all-banned-state-ips.27569/

I realize it's posted in the Poker forum, but it relates to Microgaming in general, and not just their poker platform. MG are IP blocking players from the banned states listed above.

Let us know what, if anything, you hear back from them. You for sure at least deserve an explanation from the casino themselves.

It seems the players in the banned states have been getting this form letter within the last couple of hours, which isn't a surprise. But it still doesn't explain the Jackpot Capital link.

Dear xxxxx,

Your patronage with us over the past few months/years is sincerely appreciated. However, due to a policy decision by our software provider to discontinue offering services to residents of New York (or whatever State) we are temporarily unable to provide our poker and casino service to you. Do not be disheartened, you will still be able to make your betting selections in our sportsbook.

Please note that any account balance held is secure and the transfer of funds is still available from the cashier option for both casino and poker accounts. Unfortunately, any unreleased bonuses and loyalty points will be forfeited.

For withdrawal requests we recommend Use My Wallet as the quickest and most efficient method to receive your funds. To request a payout, log in here.

If you already have an account with this payment option, simply make your request and enter your account number in the usual way. If you do not have an account number, we will automatically generate one for you. After your payout request has been approved by our payments department you will receive an email with your account details and instructions on how to retrieve your funds.

Due to the nature of this message, we anticipate a higher than normal volume of customer support requests, but we will strive to provide our normal level of service.

We hope that in the meantime the above information is helpful.

Yours sincerely,

The Intertops.com Team

the fun never ends ....

Yet again US players get a royal screwing over when their "loyal patronage" is no longer required.

Unfortunately, any unreleased bonuses and loyalty points will be forfeited.

Why should this be - Loyalty points have been EARNED, they belong to the player, and they should have been given time to tidy up their affairs before having their accounts locked. They must have known about this for some while, yet pretended it was "technical issues" rather than advise players to place their loyalty points in the casino, and finish off any remaining WR should they so wish. After all, it was Intertops that took the risk of accepting these states despite the fact that most MG casinos didn't, and they made plenty of money for this.

There is no reason why they cannot move these bonuses and loyalty points over to the sportsbook, and this is an even bigger mystery, as surely the sportsbook is "more illegal" than the casino and poker, being covered by both the state law, AND the old "Wire Act" which was intended to curtail sports wagering over the telephone.

What happens should they later have to stop offering the sportsbook, will they confiscate bets still to be resolved, even if payout was pretty much certain.
