EggOMatic Slot - NetEnt

I tried this slot with fun money at Betsafe earlier when it wasn't released elsewhere and I have to say it left me with a good impression: looks, sounds and plays great. Not the same old formula either which is also a plus (pretty much just checked out the features, took under 500spins). Fastforward to tonight when I tried it first time with real money at three different casinos:

At all the casinos the first lot of spins where absolutely dead, no wins, no eggs. Just five to ten spins with nothing but the egg machine blowing smoke. It quickly became obvious that it's going to be real tough to get anything decent off normal spins. The highest paying 5OAK pays only 50xstake and with 20lines the full house would pay a neat 1000x stake. That's if it is even possible, I reckon it would take atleast two expanding wild eggs triggered at the same time to fill all the reels with wilds to achieve this. I played 1000+ spins with real money and not once was there two of those visible at the same time (nor mystery egg with expanding wild). There where multiple times when the game paid nothing for 10+ spins and then threw a paltry 2.5x there to mend the dead spins. Most of my normal spin winnings came from the 2.5xbet to 25xbet paying eggs and with those hitting quite seldom I found my bankroll going down. Biggest payouts would be from those expanding wilds but I managed to hit only two of them and none of them reached 25xbet.

I did manage to hit some freespins also, ranging from 10-12 spins (biggest egg I saw was 20spins). Best run was hitting three freespin eggs in a row and the worst missing four of them. The big hit potential is clearly in the free spins where the eggline is promtly filled at the start. My freespins didn't reach anything big unfortunately but all where above the 20xbet mark (no re-triggers either, although there where multiple missed chances). There is a 50spin egg available which should definetely be worth your while if you where to trigger it.

Variance wise I reckon this slot is in the range of low to medium as it seems to be the trend with the new netent releases (Space Wars, Silent Run, Elements). None of them offer anything huge (not that 1000x is anything to spit on) and mostly you can expect plenty of playing time with most ¨big¨ hits staying comfortable under 100xbet. Also in common are the plentiful dead spins and these can really get on your nerve, 10-20 dead spins in a row on a low variance slot just isn't that exciting  I'll probably sacrifice a few coins on this with above my average stake to try and get some of those mid-range hits but I actually like the three last releases more.

Best of luck everyone!

I have to admit - The Slot is great but in TRUE NetEnt fashion pays squat most of the time (A $50 win on a $1.80 bet is a Mega Win??) ... . It will easily eat a $600 balance at $1.60 a spin and chuck junk at you.

NetEnt is very innovative at creating the Fireworks but the bang is always lacking. Play the Slot long enough and you will feel like an egg. Pays are mostly small and big wins are a distant wish.

NetEnt seems to ben intent on money grabbing Slots these days - Thief, Space Wars.... to name a few. I love the graphics and the game play, its refreshing but I must say that playing these Slots in the last few months has left me with an emptier wallet faster.

The game plan is to keep you spinning and paying for the egg to slide across the screen, often costing you MORE than the value of the Egg. Pay for your eggs... Thats the Idea here.

I am beginning to depise every new game NetEnt releases... I am so tired of getting big wins totalling 10x bet that I must maybe move on and try something else again.

I have never been able to take my balance above 1k on Netent apart from on DOA - Its gotta be the toughest Slots to win on. Trust me I have bet all the way to 8 Euro a spin.

WTG  - Nice to see someone is winning :)

Played it yesterday... no big wins... kept my balance up for awhile. Got bored after awhile. Doesnt have the appeal of DOA

It is with very deep regret that I must 100% agree with you.
The recent NetEnt slots just aren't cutting it with me - something I never thought I would find myself saying. You are right; the concepts, graphics and game-play are for the most part, superb and very entertaining, but it seems like squeezing a decent win out of them is as likely as me laying an egg! :eek2:
The other recent "money-grabbers" you didn't mention are Elements & Lucky Angler - I love playing those slots, but it just doesn't feel like I am ever going to be able to make any sort of profit from them.

I tried Egg-O-Matic for the first time last night (real money play) and though it started OK and gave me free-spins quite early on, it then went on to suck me dry with barely a peep. (Did get more free-spins, but with very poor results).

Of course, I trust NetEnt to be providing accurate TRTP figures, but some of their recent slots have me scratching my head trying to work out how exactly players can achieve those figures when the decent sized wins seem to be as rare as rocking-horse droppings.

I've said this before KK (specifically about Elements in its thread IIRC), they lump a ridiculous amount of the RTP into meaningless wins of 5x stake or less and 10x stake or less. Wins that never put you into decent profit but will keep you playing for longer.

Unless you hit a 'rich run' of their rare 100x wins or better, you've basically got knack-all chance of getting into a position where you'd want to make a withdrawal.

I'm sorry to say it but I've binned off Netent completely (which is a shame 'cause it means I've stopped playing at Redbet completely too, who are of course a cool casino with one of the very best reps), and quite frankly I'm enjoying my slotting a lot more and I'm making withdrawals more often too.

The only way to play Netent slots IMO is on a bonus with a WR of 35x or less, although they seem to be pretty rare these days.

I think the last decent slot they produced is Evolution. Whilst they continue to produce aesthetically brilliant slots, the construction of the paytables has completely put me off Netent and I just can't be bothered with them any more.

I've came to the conclusion that the only NetEnt games worth playing if you want to cash out are DoA, Real Steal and JatB (in that order). (Just hit a nice 350x @ guts playing DoA 30 min ago btw). Sure, those games are high variance and you'll bust most of the time but at least you have a chance to win. The only other game that comes close is Wild Rockets. As much as I enjoy playing Starburst and some of you enjoy Evolution and Beach, those games are basically money traps.

I've spent so much money on the other games until I realized that I couldn't really win. Shameful indeed.

I'd say for me that spot is reserved for RTG. I think that most Netent slots are lacking winning potential because of the low variance.

I tried Egg-o-matic on fun mode. Wasn't really impressed. I'm the kind of player that get's annoyed when I keep getting the first two scatters and never the third (I'd prefer not to constantly keep getting the first two scatters). Unfortunately all slots tend to do that. But this added on another annoyance getting the eggs at the top but never a wild... Over and over and over again.

Just got this and I didn't change my mind :D

Deposit 42 Euro -> Play Egg-o-Matic = 1700 Euro.

Then i lost 700 Euro. Its a high variance Slot, but i like Egg-o-Matic.

Pretty much agree. I only play DoA (which despite being very HV does keep you going for a fair run with many wins of 1-2x stake) Wild Rockets and have dropped Reel Steal because IMO it's a poor copy of BDBA. St*****st is only fit for grinding a WR in my opinion. I do like JaTB and the other I play which basically is my only difference from Balthazar is Frankenstein. Find it gives a good run quite often, and have several times doubled my deposit starting on it.
Netent have certainly done 'a Microgaming' - hit upon a formula and stuck to it so you have same old/same old.....

Interestingly, DoA in a bad mood (sometimes you can go 400-500 spins without getting the free spins) isn't as mean as some other NetEnt slots in a similar mood. Slots like Wild Rockets, Evolution, Space Wars and even Starburst can eat your bankroll in no time if caught on a bad day.

for which id need a license, and i dont drive
dont they take like 6 weeks?

You don't need a license to get a passport (that wouldn't make sense). I don't know how long it takes nowadays but I do know that you can have it rushed for a fee ($30 extra I believe and you get it in a week or so).

lol, it kind of does - not everyone gets a passport to gamble lol - I'm sure people use it as ID at the office

I'm not impressed with this slot. The first 100 spins I had plenty of variety of eggs on the conveyor, some I hit most I didn't but my balance remained stable.
Then all of a sudden I went 400 spins and a £90 loss without a single free spins or mystery egg on the conveyor and the highest coin egg was 5xbet.

I don't like the non random element of the free spins.Similar to Robin Hood the previous spins outcomes determines if free spins becomes available.I prefer a slot with a chance in every spin for the bonus round.

Couldn't agree more KK,

The LACK of wins in the screenshot thread bare testament to how NetEnt pays in general. You are more likely to see a DOA screenshot there and that's one of the highest variance slots.

NetEnt is becoming a money Trap - I deposited over 700 Euro playing EggOMatic for a few hours. I actually went to a maximum stake of 1.80 Euro and had a few thousand spins and not once breached the 100x bet mark. How does a slot take up to 400x your bet and not even dish out a noteworthy win...There were wins but you get them after 20 blank spins. You can just watch the egg slide across the screen and the wilds will fall before or after.

I saw that Silent Run had a bit of potential - Umm Yeah - 500 Euro balance busted on 1.50 Euro spins .... Biggest win was 28 Euro and the animation made me think I won over 100 Euro. NetEnt is becoming pathetic and more and more greedy impo. Like Chopley mentioned, the paytable is geared at 5x to 10x wins to make that RTP. Spacewars, Thief, Lucky Angler, EggoMatic, Muse, Scarface, Zombies, Starburst... Come on - Tell me these Slots are GOOD and they pay well?
