Just curious,
I couldn't imagine betting big enough to see the wr thru..
deposit 150.00 get 500.00 = 650.00 x 45 deposit and bonus=29,250.00 wagered before cashout..Wow..
Does this sound right? How do people manage to play out that much and is it likely that you could walk away with anything substantial at the end?
Thanks guys.

Sounds like the promos at CWC. At rtgs you might have a better chance as there are RJs and the vastly increased bankroll will increase your chances of getting it. Otherwise, even if you get a couple of semi-monster hits you will bust before meeting wrs. When playing make sure the RJ in question is at least $5K as a $2K RJ wont take you anywhere.

IMO, very bad bet.

I bit on that offer at Lucky Red once. Never again. Sure, it is possible you may clear a WR of nearly $30,000; however, it is extremely unlikely. If you are playing Club World, smaller deposits with their regular bonuses and some of their frequent repeat promos will keep your WR down and maximize your chances of cashing out a winner.

If it is the CWC Group - then I guess that bonus is also Phantom.
I have a formula for comparing bonuses at all the casinos I list on my websites, and that one would score -4.93!
To put it another way, in theory at the end of WR your bank would be -$1,463 (if casinos let you go overdrawn!).

IMPO these types of bonuses are bordering on criminal and no player who actually hopes to win should touch them with a barge-pole!

I thought it would be almost impossible to achieve a payout. Why do they offer such ludicrous bonuses is beyond me other than the obvious. Yes pmutts they would do better to offer smaller ones more frequently with a reasonable x wager.
And kk, l would never consider such a gamble and chu havn't yet been lucky enough to get a random and don't think my luck would change anytime soon with them either..hehe.

Thanks for the opinions.

You can calculate the average player wr off a deposit. (deposit/profit margin)
Assuming the casino averages a 97% payback the casino makes 3% profit.

If you deposit a $100 the wagering formula is $100/.030 which is about $3,333.33 customer average of wagering for each $100 deposit.
If you even got the average wagering for each $100 of the $650 the most you could generate is $21,666.64 (3,333.33*6.5)

Of course some players will make some good hits and thus exceed the average wr while others will fall way below it but in the end it should all balance out.

This is how I understand it anyway.

So many only see the 'up front' big numbers ... $500 on top of $150. The 45x WR plus the loss of the phantom $500 should lightning strike, is not taken into consideration. It would be interesting to know how many actually took that bonus, and how many managed to cash out.

re the 'big numbers' -- A lady at a B&M casino laughed at me for leaving a 6/5 payout BJ table due to the crappy 6/5 odds. She patiently explained that 6 is bigger than 3, and 5 is bigger than 2 (the usual 3/2 payout for BJ) therefore I was 'silly to move to a 3/2 table'.

Thanks for all the formulas Slotplayer and Mousey but it's all a bit too mathematical for me so i will just continue to play with luck in mind and thats about it..I know if i started calculating every time I put a dollar in I would surely be living Mousey's (Alice in Wonderlands) catch cry...lol, and I'm only half way there atm..

It is a reasonable bonus and I've cashed out on it twice a long time ago before they stopped offering me bonuses. Haven't looked at the terms for a while though so if they added a max allowed bet to the rules it does become bad.

To have a chance of winning you do need to understand that the WR will kill you if you stick to your normal bets, to have any chance of meeting it you need to bet quite high and hope for a good hit early on or bust out fast. At $10 spins you only need 3000 spins to make the WR and the variance over 3000 spins can easily make you get over 100% RTP with just a few good hits. Sure you will bust out in 100 spins a lot of the time but you only lost $150 while a good run can let you cash out a couple thousand. WR doesn't really affect the value of a bonus much as long as you think of the best way of playing, what really hurts are max cashouts.

This is similar to other threads I have responded to in past. I started to do a search to find my actual results, but got lazy.

All I can say is that I do take everyone of these bonuses offered. At an investment of just $150 my money -- I have cashed enough times on big wins to make it worthwhile even at 45x wr. I have had some cashes in excess of $10k on these......

But to make it through, "grininding" it out with small bets doesn't work. You have to bet larger $6.25 to $25 and occasionally higher if doing well to make it through. If it works, great. If not, its still only $150 lost.

IMO

Biggest cashout I ever had at CW was on one of these bonuses. I have actually made playthru on a couple of them.

Different strokes for different folks. I think you can analyze bonuses to death. My luck is the same if I look at it as entertainment or I think about the numbers +/-. It's a whole lot more fun for me to play with entertainment in mind and get all excited when and if I win. :D
