Do you recognize this credit card descriptor for RTG?

Great, just saw an unauthorized charge hit my card. It was a small amount of about $4.00 plus the standard international fee that hits later. Here is the code: CRD*EBL*SEAROOTNETWBEIJIN

I have not deposited anywhere recently and I only deposit at very few groups. My first choice is Clubworld casinos. I have seen BEIJIN in their code before.

I have already contacted support there, but they tell me they use so many codes that they could not tell me if it their code.

The most aggravating part of this is now having to worry about more unauthorized charges. I will probably have to shut the card down, which is a real pain.

To see a charge just appear, whether its $4.00 or $500.00, feels like being pick pocketed or robbed.

A Google search tells me it's a recurring subscription to "Big & Bouncy" magazine.

You people make me sick.

On a more helpful note, if you are saying that part of of the descriptor code has been used by a casino you use previously - it's worth asking them to do some more digging as it's almost certainly related. In fact, I would want them to DEFINITELY confirm it wasn't them at the very least.

Agreed it's not nice when you can't pin down a charge.

Well, I just sent an e-mail to CWC group as well.

I called the bank and they said since I have many purchases in that part of the world, it could be one of those. My argument of "I don't/didn't make a purchase in that amount" didn't help.

Short of keeping the card active and taking my chances on more charges like this, all I can do is close that card and get a new one.

I HATE THAT!

me too:

EBL*SEAROOTNETWORK BEIJING CN $3.78 WTF is this?

Mine was $3.68.

Can you be for certain it was Clubworld?

I am almost certain its clubworld. In the past number of years, I only play 3 accredited groups. 2 of them have been using the same processor forever, it doesn't change. The 3rd Clubworld is the only one I have seen the Beijing and it changes all the time.

The scary thing is its probably a lot more people also.

Yes, I am sure.

I have only been playing their group and 3Dice.

3Dice I use paste&pay.

You know the thing that gets me too, is they send you a confirmation e-mail, which states "The charge will always be LESS than the amount authorized." But, it is always about 70c more.

I use to save them up and send a copy of my bank statement to CWC and they would credit me the difference into my casino account. I haven't done that lately and just let it slide and now this happens.

I am sure it is not technically CWC but their processor.

But still, their processor, their fault, their problem.

Yes, I started a thread on that a long time ago about the overcharge. I had numerous conversations about this with Karolina. I had asked her to let Tom know and management know , bit it seemed nobody really cared because it kept going on. Yes I did get the difference back as credit, but that wasn't the point. They shouldn't be that desperate for a processor that they let them do what they want. Recent processors are now charging the lesser amount.

But here we go again with a complete unauthorized charge out of nowhere. I have already sent Tom a message.

Clubworld needs to get on this one ASAP. Unauthorized charges should be a major concern.

I have talked to chat again. Same thing as the first conversation where they just kept repeating send statement so they can match with deposit. I explained there was no deposit, its just an unauthorized charge, finally after being persistent I think she started to understand what I was saying. I explained they really need to look into it before it becomes a bigger problem, like more an more people having money taken from them.

Very scary that someone has the balls to just start going and debiting accounts.

It may sound bad, but, there have been times with my bank account that the little "extra" charge like this $3.78 could put me into overdraft, yielding a $25.00 fee. That would really piss me off!

Well, this is interesting. I've been going back and forth with CWC for a few days on this. I woke up the other morning to a charge to 2 different bank accounts, one for $4+ and one for $3+.
I emailed CWC and they are looking into it. They say it's the processor taking the extra percentage that they didn't take off the original deposit which is absurd. They always take an extra 3% off what I charge, as does my bank. I woke up the NEXT day to 2 MORE charges on one of the accounts. Same place.

CWC says they are looking into it, many apologies, etc. they don't know why it's happening and they credited my casino account with the money. $19+ in all. Now. I DO NOT KEEP EXTRA IN THOSE ACCOUNTS! Had I not just happened to have extra in there at that time I would have been SCREWED. And even now I asked if I should cancel the CC. They said no, won't happen again. We'll see. One more and I'm cancelling my cards and am done with playing. This causes MAJOR trust issues. Seriously? They are using a processor that is STEALING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been upset for 3 days now, waking up in the morning stressed wondering what's being taken from me. I only use these 2 accounts for CWC, they aren't my household account which is good but still. I don't want overdraft fees, I don't want to deal with my bank on this, etc. They seriously need to get a handle on this before they lose a lot of loyal customers.

Why do I want $4 credited to my casino account? How far is that going to get me? And what, they just bleed me dry, slowly over the span of a month? It's so completely unacceptable I'm getting angry all over again LOL

So it has happened to you more than once? Oh crap! I am a very low roller. I do not have a ton of extra money in my account "free for the taking".......

If this is not fixed, I will cancel this card and get a new one, but, I will not be using it for casinos. If they don't take paste&pay, I won't be playing there.

Yes, I have 3 of these charges on 1 card and 1 charge on another. I have been actually thinking of making a post for the last 3 days about this but wasn't sure whether I should or not. Just as an FYI, I've been emailing back and forth, multiple times and here is a response to one of my emails.

Dear Deanna:

Thank you for contacting Customer support.

I can totally understand that you are having major trust issues as I would feel that way if money was being taken out of my account and did not what it was for.

I have credited your account with the $11.30 to cover these charges and also I have referred this over to higher management to investigate this as this is totally unacceptable.

It does look like they are international fee overcharges but cannot understand why they state separate billing descriptors but I can assure we will get in contact with our processors to try and find out more information on this.

Also do you use any other online merchants because if you do I would advise getting in contact with them also to make sure.

My sincere apologies for all this and again I assure you we will find out more information and get this issue resolved.

If you receive anything else at all please send across to me as soon as possible.

If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Because I felt they were truly looking into it and were being as helpful and nice as I thought they were able to under the circumstances I had decided not to post anything. But now I see it's not just me, it's a lot of people and frankly this scares me a little. I'm almost tempted to say screw it and call and cancel my 2 cards. Like I said, it doesn't help me to credit the money to my casino account, if I'd planned on using it for that I would have made the charge myself, yes? How the heck do you keep track of your account when tomorrow you may wake up with multiple charges you've never authorized. I agree, no way can I afford multiple $25 overdraft fees. And if they agreed to "pay" them it would be credit in the casino account LOL. How does that help?

What also kills me is to see the .07 cent international fee my bank is charging me on all these small charges.

CWC says they are looking into it, many apologies, etc. they don't know why it's happening and they credited my casino account with the money. $19+ in all. Now.

The first explanation of the processor taking extra percentages is a bunch of BS.

So it seems they have know about it for a few days. I took 20 minutes of my time today explaining to them that its important to make this a priority, not just for my issue, but for others that will follow. Something this sinister should have been handled the first day.

I have always been a supporter of CWC, but these issues are totally unacceptable. The last issue of overcharges on the your actual authorized deposits was one thing(deposit $25 get charged $26.78). I spoke to them a number of times, but just gave up. But this time this is completely unauthorized and nothing short of theft. There is no reasoning you can come up with to substantiate all of a sudden charging someone's card.

Going ahead and crediting $4 is really not a solution. You are right what do you do with $4?. Its now the principal of matter, and the thought of someone going in and taking money without your authorization is just like Deanna said is stressful, and is the bigger issue. Who knows if the next one is a larger amount.

Going and just debiting 500-1000 card 's a small amount is a quick way to get easy money. I would assume that they are doing a small amount because they figure people will either not notice it or not fight it, but again that doesn't mean that it wont be larger next time.

I am not sure if Clubworld is in on this, and if they want to clear their name they really should have had answers by now. When they never fixed the overcharge issue, I chalked it up to them condoning the behavior which makes them just as guilty as the processor.

Clubworld obviously has problems with processors all the time. The problems probably come from processing US funds and when the processor gets caught they get shutdown and have to move on. The processors that are willing to "risk" processing US, probably charge the casino's astronomical fees and amounts. At the same time the caliber and reputation of these processors are probably a mixed bag, ranging from extremely rogue to just a little rogue. In desperate times the selection of these processors are probably as simple as "use whoever the heck will do it right now." Unfortunately being desperate and selecting anyone, leads to these type of issues. Clubworld is responsible for looking after the players well being, and if they don't have someone reputable then credit cards should not be processed. Ultimately the poor selection of processors puts the players at risk. The processor has sensitive information, specifically to the tune of all your credit card information.

People affected, and those that are not yet, need an answer as to why this is happening and how the heck its going to be stopped.

Deanna -- I know you have mentioned cancelling your cards. Unfortunately I am now having to consider the same. Its a very simple process, all you have to do say is cancel the card (wont even need an explanation) and a new one is sent. Its a pain to have to do in terms of waiting for a new one, and then having to go reschedule anything you may have on automatic payments and so on. But when their are unauthorized charges the only way to prevent it from happening again is to have it cancelled.

Well,

I just got an e-mail from ClubWorld group and they have credited my account with the amount of the extra charge.

The e-mail looks just like the one Deanna received.

But, if I see another charge like it, I will be writing them again. In the mean time, I am not going to use my card for any transactions other that regular bills and paste&pay. I will see if they take it upon themselves to do it again.

I found a charge of $3.86 on my debit card statement. I immediately went to the bank and told them I did not recognize this company from Bejing

They immediately cancelled my card and in an hour was credited back with the 3.86.
The only thing I can think of is

1. Somehacker testing my account
2. A processor charging me 4% 3 or 4days after a $ 99.954 deposit

I believe it to be #2

EBL*PUCHASETMORE TRADE BEIJING 05/11
Is this the culprit?

I hope thjis isnt considered a chargeback in the event this was actually an extra charge after the fact

And this is why you should never, ever gamble out of your household account. Buy a prepaid card, there are still some that work, fund it for just what you want to gamble and be done with it.

Everytime you use your 'real' bank card to deposit, you are running the risk of it getting compromised.

I know it's a pain in the behind to load a card but not near as much of a pain as it is to wake up and find out your bank account is (a) locked because your bank found out you're gambling or (b) drained by a crook.

I also received two charges this week for $3.86 to my prepaid card-following deposits at high noon. I had planned on cancelling my card-as I thought it was hacked by someone--it is strange that it is the exact same amount.

I have 2 cards used for sole purpose of gaming. But, I still don't want to pay overcharge fees. What worries me now is the processor named in the previous post is different. Maybe I'll be looking at that charge tomorrow.

I have had 2 charges in the last 2 days in the amounts of $3.73 and $3.77. I put in a complaint with the bank and will be getting a refund for this. I also closed my account because if they will charge this against my account, what is it to say they won't go all in for a larger amount later when you least espect it?

My account was hijacked twice last year and it started with $1 and change charges that I thought were the fees for international fees as they normally charge, but I then started to get larger and larger charges from shopping vendors that I have never visited or purchased from. My advice is to close the account and request a new card for saftey sake and less headaches. If I would have closed my account last year like I should have I would never have had to go through all the fake charges.

My bank asked me what all the "foreign" charges were and I let them know I do a lot of online shopping from ebay and pay pal and they were very accomodating once I cleared the charges up and where they were from.

.

sorry if off topic, but is the REALRETRODVDS processor possibly for CWC also, or can anyone tell me if they know?
