Hello,

I just got a mail from DaVincis Gold Casino, that I have to send them my documemts, to verify my account for withdrawl.

So, I sent them a scanned copy of my german ID (front and back) and a utility bill, exactly what they wanted to have in their mail (along with the filled form).

But, they mail back, asking me to let my ID sign by a doctor or a bank official !!!

WHAT IS THIS ???

How can I go to a bank and let my ID (plastic) sign by a bank man.

Or even a copy, he will just laugh at me (same for a doctor!!).

Do they want to trick me somehow ??

Have you ever had this ??

Please help.

Tom

:what: You can't be serious man...they really asked you for this, what was their reason behind this...do they suspect you of not being you or something or maybe fraud ??

Wasn't there another thread here about almost the same thing?

Why in the world would a Dr. or Bank Official know or care that your ID is correct?

Tklein,

Mind if you attach a copy of their email detailing this requirement (personal details erased of course). Sometimes support staff write something that is totally nonsense. Hope we can get some sense out of it.

You might want to have a look at this related thread: DaVinci's Gold requesting notarized docs

Meanwhile, I'll see if I can't get someone from DVG to swing by and have a look in on this.

Or, you could contact the rep yourself: [profile]thisisvegas[/profile]

DaVincis gold rep:
I have the same issue as the OP.
Please contact me for details.

Oh man,

now I got a PM fron their REP here.

He told me, I have to make a photo of myself, where I hold my own ID card.

I NEVER had this before. I will do it, but this is strange !!

Also, I am told I am now "bonus banned" at all Rivals. Because the way I play the Slots. OMG, I lost so big the last weeks, and now had a big hit (600$) and cashed out, wow...

And, sorry, but they really bombed me with 100% bonus offers the last weeks (there was kind of promo), I just took them (and lost nearly all of them completely).

THE MAIL (part of):

Regarding your security documents.
Your id has to be stamped and signed by a doctor, lawyer or bank official.
You do not have to send a certified bill, just a stamped and signed copy of the id.

Sorry, but here we have no stamps on our IDs. And they are not signed too. They are plastic with codes and so on.. just a normal todays ID.

May I ask which rep sent you a pm?
I haven't heard anything.
Thank you

Freddy

I wonder if this is going to be a new Rival policy - Can claim bonus but if you make a withdrawal from a bonus used you'll be banned from further ones.

Unfullfillable Requirements

Congrats DaVincis Gold! You have taken absurd requests to an all-time high. You can bet your sweet behind that I won't be playing there.

Looks like I will have to send them certified copies of my ID.
I haven't heard back from the DaVincis rep.

I have recently learned that the requirement to certify my copies may not come from DaVincis directly, but a Link Removed ( Old/Invalid) wide security department. In that case, any casino listed in that link can and will ask for certified documents.

Just a quick update:
They did accept my certified copy of ID.

I'll shout when I get the money.
Shouldn't take long as it's moneybookers.

Maxd asked me to comment or help but it seems like the issue is solved.

Just a note to everyone it is rare when Rival or a Rival casino would ask for notarized ID. In 2 years I have maybe seen this request a total of 3 times and it is not a new policy that everyone should be worried about. I don't like to talk specific details about an account or the reasons why but it is usually when something just doesn't add up on our end.

Did you hear this from the OP John? Last thing he says in the thread (here) is that he's still due to provide the docs.

@tklein: can you update us on your status?

Doesn't seem that "rare" to me:confused:

Having a doctor certify the ID (or copy of it) will do you no good at all. How the hell would you know who his doctor really is:confused:

He could get a friend to sign it, and put the address of a known doctor's surgery on it, and if you try to check, you will just be told "sorry, cannot say anything - patient/doctor confidentiality".

Having him photographed holding the ID, well, actually this is a damn good idea, even if a little strange. It is better than the run of notarised and certified copies, as you "certify" it yourself from the photo, just as a lawyer (or doctor) would in person.

Now comes the hard question:-

SLOTS! What are your lot smokin'

I understood the Rival slots were RANDOM, despite all the rumour contradicting this.

If you can play slots in a manner that is worthy of a BONUS BAN, then they are not properly random are they? Normally, a big win on slots is simply down to good luck, no "advantage play" whatsoever, so no need to "bonus ban" players simply for being short term lucky, as in the long term it will all be given back, and then some more.

It seems clearer and clearer that Rival blanket ban players (from bonuses) purely for having a decent win, nothing to do with "advantage play". Even as little as a $600 win is enough for a bonus ban not just at the one casino, but the whole damn lot:eek:

Rival seem intent on running their reputation into the ground, what good is it when the loudest message going out is that if you dare to win, even on slots (a game of pure chance, no strategy), you will be branded an "undesirable". The whole point of running a casino is to give the illusion that a player can win a fortune, and let the lucky few that do advertise the fact.

Doctor are somewhat better traceable than, say, dustmen, and some assume them to be more honest than average as well (I am not so certain about this after Shipman and the two guys accused of trying to blow up Glasgow airport).

As for the confidentiality, it only applies to medical information and to disclosure without your permission. Doctors regularly disclose information to third parties (e.g., insurance companies) with the patient's permission. You could ask any doctor to sign the form, it would not even have to be a doctor who has ever treated you.

Not so. A doctor is certainly more traceable that your local dustmen, but my surgery has a notice warning patients that if a relative calls, the surgery will not even comment on whether you have come in to the surgery, let alone whether your alleged doctor really did sign your ID. I think therefore the option of phoning and checking up may not work with a doctor, and the stamp and signature will have to be taken as it is.

Further to this case, TIV, also Rival, have now bonus banned ANOTHER player, whose last session was a loss of some $3000 on Scary Rich SLOT, and their previous play involved deposits both with, and without, bonuses.

It seems that it has become even easier to be bonus banned at Rival than at Grand Prive, and that has come as quite a surprise to me:eek:

If you give permission in writing so that there is a record and make adequate arrangements for your relatives to confirm their identity, then it would be perfectly legal for your doctor to give out information to them. It is another issue that he may not want to deal with it and would rather you told your relatives if you are so keen on them knowing about your health.

Quite, and what a palaver. Here though, we are talking of a Davinci's Gold CS phoning the players' doctor to verify his identity. In order to do this, he would have to reveal that said player was under his care, and first the doctor, even if he was prepared to do this, would have to verify the identity of the Davinci's Gold CS rep - how would they do this, ask HIS doctor to sign his license etc.......

This notarised ID issue is descending into farce. Casino reps ask for certain procedures to be adopted with no idea whatsoever as to whether they are even legal in the player's own country, let alone possible.

For some players, especially the young starters just of age, even meeting the basic requirements can be a near impossible and lengthy process, yet they never find out until they are waiting for a cashout, and by then it is too late to decide they don't want to play after all.

There have been so many complaints about this notarisation issue that it can no longer be considered as "rare", even if it is not the norm.
