Announcement Dan has left Videoslots

Are you trying to shame us into not posting about this? yet we have posters here who whine complain about the bonanza be8ng rigged or playing bad for the millionth time and we tolerate it.

No post about it all you want. It is the manner of some of the posts tho .

I myself have said i think it is totally wrong the way VS handled it. And i know why people are mad. But read some of the posts and you will see what i meant.

Here’s the thing. team videoslots is on here. They responded to trilej s post about the robots why haven’t they said anything about what we are talking about. Do they want a direct question?

And what is wrong in admitting they made a mistake? Absolutely nothing.

Some just found out and are reacting. Others don't know yet. Everyone doesn't live and breath this forum.

Maybe it should come out in the main forum so that everyone knows and also the reps who never had a chance for the awards.

Sorry if all of us doesn't feel or behave the way you want us to.

Would like to add there is plenty that do know, who are not reacting, as they could not careless either way.

Seems we have the normal bunch of people who will just moan and moan about anything and everything.

VS have the best customer service by a mile and this threads posts are coming across, as spoilt and ungrateful.

These people that constantly slate VS and seem to feel that it's their God given right to an in-depth explanation over anything and everything.

Yet these same people are the first to join the CM exclusive tourneys and the fantastic Xmas giveaways By VS.

I must admit, if I owned VS, reading the VS threads. I would seriously think about pulling my support workers from CM, due to a number on ingrates and some just plain greedy people who you just cannot please.

Keep on like this and you will end up moaning that they have left. And I expect you will blame them for that too.

Are you really saying here that I usually moan about VS and that it's normal that I moan about anything and everything? That I seem spoilt and ungrateful? That I'm greedy?
Do you really think that, and that is my usual behaviour? You are quoting my post so I must be an awful person in your eyes. Sad to hear that because I usually see you as someone who make valid posts and that I respect.

I honestly do not think his post was against you.

I think he only quoted you to use the part he bolded. The rest of his comment i think was a general post.

But i said i wouldn't comment on here about this again so i better shut up lol.

Which is what I also said. No more posts :) I got a little hurt there and I can be a little sensitive. Now no more posting. I'm done:thumbsup:

The bottom line is that Videoslots have been deceptive towards Casinomiesters members from their beginning in here, thus towards Brian and this site and all that it stands for.
It seems that Casinomiester is doing nothing at all about it which only discredits this sites credibility

Really? Some of you guys are really blowing this way out of proportion. I can understand being miffed because someone other than Daniel read your PMs, but it is a casino rep account, and if you were discussing deep dark secrets, then you should be discussing these to others besides casino reps who share accounts on a normal basis. I should not have to spell this out to you that it is a casino rep account - other people fill in when they go on leave etc.

So Dan's account was being manned by many apparently, sure they could have let me know before Dan received an award - but what the hell? What if I gave an award to Captain Rizk? Would we expect a guy with a mask in tights showing up to receive it? Or Mr. Green - a guy in green with a bowler hat? But they are reps just the same - and those reps who are most active - whether it is a lone dude or a team of folks - that person or team should be recognized for that. I don't enforce any policy that disallows casino reps to share their accounts with their colleagues. Maybe I should, but that way you'll have an igaming rep spending about 30 minutes per day M-F listening to your grievances. Is this what you want?

I can honestly say that most casinos fear having reps in this forum because of the treatment that they occasionally receive: too slow, not participative enough, don't give enough freebies, get flamed because they are not handing out bonuses left and right. It is stressful and demanding, and there are members here that don't care - they just want their way. It is getting to the point of "why even bother?" for some reps, and I struggle sometimes trying to encourage them to be involved.

So VS decided to nip this is in the bud and have other people chime in besides Dan. And a load of you peeps are telling me you have all this proof that other people were manning his account. Well, it was total news to me, and for the record, I don't have this evidence, nor has anyone provided this to me - and really, there are bigger fish to fry and the moment.

This thread has spun out of control with this whole conspiracy, and it's a crying shame that a few of you are taking this as a personal affront. But I can't change any of this. So there you go.

Now I know where you stand I will move on

Now I know where you stand I will move on
You have absolutely got to be kidding me. Move on? To what? And how should I realistically work this out? Ban Videoslots? Rogue them? Require blood-oaths from iGaming reps "thou shalt not share accounts"?

With all of this yammering, I don't think a single person has come up with anything constructive to say.

Thanks Bryan! we needed that slap in the face to hear the real reality of things. I think a few of us could of worded things better. Even though I haven't made a comment on Dan leaving I was guilty of thinking on some of what was mention in this forum.

Videoslots are not perfect but their dam close and I think we should cut them slack on this subject and move on. There are a few things I'm not happy with them about, like verifying pre-cards and a few other minor things. Like I said minor things and no casino will 100% satisfied every one, we will always find something wrong and maybe it's not the casino that is wrong but maybe we r expecting too much.

As Paul pointed out. I just used your post to point out the part I bolded in it.

My point was not singling you out, sorry if you thought that.

The rest of my post was just a generalisation of recent negative posts.

Personally i don't care if a rep account is used by many, as long as the customer service is good, but it could possibly be made clear that more than one person might see your PM. However, in this particular case, I don't understand why Videoslots lied to people, I think a few people guessed it wasn't just Dan, I can think of a couple of things that pointed towards that, but Dan always pretended to be one person. Why do that? A lot of Videoslot's reputation is built on the excellent response times by one person who 'drinks a lot of coffee', and thats why i think people are angry/upset. I get your point about Mr Green, Rizk etc, but I think different people working for MrGreen have different accounts don't they, and I would be surprised if Captain Rizk's account was managed by more than one person, certainly regularly. Other casinos are clear that it isn't one person replying (Guts as an example), so why did Videoslots not be upfront and tell people?

I'm not sure if you were genuinely asking what you should do, but why not just have all rep accounts as 'Rep_MrGreen', 'Rep_Videoslots', 'Rep_Guts', 'Rep_Trada' etc? That way, if a particular member of staff leaves, then previous PM's are available to the next rep, so any previous problems/promises can be followed up on, theres no problem with people asking who is the rep now for casino xx, as the rep would be using the one account, no one is under any impression that there can't be only one person replying, etc. Reps/casino staff could also have personal accounts if they so wish and if people want private chats with them, then they can on the personal account :)

Yes I will move on. Not comment further. Why should that be such a shock to you?

Not sure about that to be honest. The rep for Mr Green definitely wears the green bowler hat and dances on the advert

Sounds like a very logical idea!

Yes, the uniform 'team' signature is one solution though of course then you lose that personal interaction and just becomes another CS enquiry.....

And if reps were to put on their 'civilian' hats and just interact on a first-name basis using personal accounts, they may not want to be inundated with countless queries either.

I suggest we simply ask each team member sign off using their name so you have a point of reference, simples.

Those that go above and beyond get special recognition, as before

Not a shock - a disappointment. Because I value all of my members - dissenting voices or not. I value your participation and presence in this forum, and think that disagreeing with each other respectfully is what makes a forum strong.

Edited to add:
Sorry, it seemed to me you were quitting the forum over this like some other members are. So if you meant "moving on" from this thread - that's cool. "Moving on" from this forum: uncool.

My comment was simply stating that I had nothing I wanted to say on the matter. You clearly stated how you stand.Your house and your rules. I'm quite unlikely to leave a forum over a single issue.

Bryan's recent post on this has inspired me to share a few thoughts of my own, and maybe a wee rant or two. In no particular order:
  • the news that Dan had a team helping him came as news to us. I only learned of it a week or so ago after I heard from a forum member that Dan had apparently said "I won't be responding to player issues any more". I fired an email to "Dan" and soon after was on the phone with VS management finding out what exactly had gone down.
  • So yeah, the "Dan is a team" thing was news but it wasn't exactly earth-shattering. As Bryan said, reps routinely have one or more people popping into the account. I think the problem here is that for the longest time Dan's account was Dan, just Dan, and he did a hell of a good job. The fact that that evolved into Dan + team was neither here nor there as far as I was concerned. The point was that team or no team they were doing a damn fine job and good on them for it!
  • If you are sending deeply personal, non-casino related stuff to a rep's account then you should probably have a think about your choice of "friends". A rep is almost certainly not your friend. They may be helpful, courteous, even admirable but they are employees of the company they work for and their company account here -- whether it's named "Dan" or "Dan and helpers" or "Casino X Rep" -- is about work, not your personal life. Unfortunately the reps are sometimes happy to have you think they are your friend but that's a bit of a "please deposit more" ploy I'm afraid. If you have any doubts about whether they really are your friend that just ask them to lend you some money and babysit your cats for a week. You'll soon find out who is a friend and who is just a "friend".
  • Anyone who is haranguing VS and/or accusing us of a bunch of underhanded crap because of the "Dan isn't Dan but is really Dan + others" thing has lost the plot. The point is to have good, helpful, responsive reps on the forums. Full stop.
  • If VS maybe wasn't quite as up-front about the "Dan" account as they could have been then say so. Tell them precisely that and hope they do a good thing. But throwing your kit out of the pram in a huff over this is exactly as ... non-constructive as it sounds. Ask yourself what you hope to accomplish by doing this. Punish the VS guys and end up chasing them away? So you want to go from pseudo-Dan goodness to less or no help at all? I think not! I understand that these are challenging days for all of us but beating up the good guys because they weren't exactly what you thought they were is not the solution.
  • People getting fed up and leaving the forums is just a part of forum life. Sad when it happens, especially if it's someone you've grown to like and enjoy hanging out with online, but those departures are just the way it goes. I'm been managing forums since 2002-ish and have learned that it's simply one of the truths about life online: if it's time to say goodbye then it's time to say goodbye. C'est la vie. And I'm not trying to be glib about this. Truth is there is bugger all you can really do about it so maybe it's best being a little philosophical instead.

Closing your account because multiple reps used the same account.....I mean GET A GRIP.

Why some thought Dan was a friend idk he was simply doing his job and a great one at that.

This thread is a total embarrassment to read some need to take a look at life because this should not be a issue for you certainly not a personal one.

Thread should be closed and buried.

Don't really see the issue here.

As long as your issue is resvolved does it really matter if it was Dan, Jennifer, Alison, Phillipa or Sue?
Yes, I like that song too!

Interesting thread and it only leaves me with one question...

Where's my bloody team of helpers! :)

Mark, just Mark. Alone. No Helpers.

PS: For the record, I'll lend you money but I hate cats.

How can we be sure you are Mark tho lol.

I also hate cats and how much interest will you charge me for a loan of a grand say:D

Is this a Venus vs Mars situation? I seriously don't recall anyone having stated that they were ever friends with Dan and his team in chat. The whole issue for me was that I was dealing with issues last year that was taking far too long to resolve. At that time I thought I was talking to one person. When I say too long, I'm talking a month or longer. Red flags were showing up for sure, because in all that long winded pages of messages, there were myself being called, bebo67, Jen, Jennifer. Broken English, fluent English, etc. A few months later I was on the phone with another member, who bless her heart came forward yesterday, and when I discussed with her what had been going on, she had told me that she met Dan, and it wasn't always Dan, but also his team. That is why it seems like he is out there 24/7. Did I care? A bit, but a part of me didn't wan't to believe it. Fast forward to now. The last 6 months or so, who ever I was talking to about my " fight" to get the prize structure changed in the Canadian Battles, led me to believe by saying " have patience", " I am working on it", This went on and on for months. The day I flipped out on here, when I was told that it wasn't going to happen by " Dan", using his rep account, when a week just before that, I was told to " have patience". I was just in e-mail moments before with Tom, and seeing that message out here in the same text, I knew damn well it was Tom, and not Dan. I messaged who ever a few days later after I calmed down, and told them that I knew, and that I wasn't going to say anything out here because know one would believe me, and I also didn't because I'm all most positive it would look like I had a vendetta because of the battles. No reply was ever given back, I even left another one a few days after that asking, " what no reply?", and still nothing. Last week I was very busy, so I missed Dan saying goodbye, but after things quieted down, I went back and read the thread. I read his goodbye, and I read another posting a few posts down by the " team" , Again the same text content, and also, them saying they have been out here as a team for a couple of weeks now . Which was an outright lie! I messaged Sara, asking what happened to Dan, and the rest is history. People are mad, and some don't care. For the ones that are mad, don't undermine their feelings. I think that is why some chose to leave. And also the level of loyalty was not given to us to be upfront. Is there anything Bryan can do? Probably not, except maybe stop focusing on the fact that we were being friends with these people, when that wasn't the case. And I truly think its important that they sign with a name, this way if anything goes south, which it can and will in any business. The customer has some level of recourse. This should be my last stance on it :)

Tbh, sometimes honesty is the best policy.
while it was a slightly different type of scenario, I remember being 12 or 13 years old and joining a site named 'dyke chat room' for a bit of fun. Some lady started privately messaging me and was apparantly getting off while doing so, writing some rather teasing stuff. I couldnt resist after she was finished, to type 'oh, btw, i should probably have mentioned that I'm a guy hahaha LoLoLoL!!!' . for her to then to respond with " LOL so am i" .

23 or so years ago, i still sometimes wake up screaming.

I can see how that relates to Dan & Videoslots

I'm just going to come right out and ask them. Lay everything to rest.
@Team.Videoslots.
How long have you been using Dan's account as a team?
How often?
That means all 6 of you.
And are you willing to add a name, false or otherwise moving forward?

With all due respect VS are hear to help with player issues those sort of questions are not something they should need to answer.

I couldn't care less if they sign it as Dan, HItler or bleedin Father Christmas as long as they solve player issues that's all that matters.

Someone else pointed out they will get to a point in which they won't think k its worthwhile being on here. If they keep being hassled over trivial stuff then that might happen.

Nevermind. Some think its trivial. And others don't. I have work to do.

Obviously I'm not to be trusted, since i said I wouldn't post again. Maybe if I sign with another name I can say it never happened:p

I've been reading all posts about this subject again and also my discussions about it with Bryan, Max and a few others.
It did hurt yes since I felt strong about it, but I've never been that kind of person who not tried to see all views about whatever it may be. In this case I still don't really understand the other side but I do accept and respect it.
For me it's just to stay away from VS and I'm sure they won't miss me :)
(Suddenly I have a lot more time, and thanks to that I won all that money at 32Red so all bad came with something good:D )

I was the uncool person as you all have figured out that said I would leave this forum too. That was how I felt, and if anyone think that was pathetic in any way, I don't care. That says more about you than about me.

I've been here for a long time so maybe it would be time to leave, but I hope it's fine if I change my mind too. I have too many people I talk to and I guess I like this place or I wouldn't have stayed for so long.

Now I'll try to see if I can find that trip to Italy for a couple of weeks. I think I need to get away:cheers:
