And that is just a precursor to the digital financial system they want to rollout, it will be something like unvaccinated = account blocked, low social credit score = account blocked, environmental green score low? = account blocked, speak up against mandates to a teacher, doctor etc = account blocked.

Candian gov has a meltdown after a few weeks of truckers, but oh it was perfectly fine to destroy peoples business and lives for over 2 years?!

Whatever measures implemented were not going to be long- lasting. Annoying, yes, and abuse of power, sure. Trudeau's just damaging his own career at this point, and the emergency powers will cease to be, at some juncture?

What IS vexing is companies like Paypal, GoFundMe etc al playing moral custodian with people's finances. But unlike China, do you know what we do over here? We drop them like a hot potato and choose other services, because that's what freedom of choice is.

And whilst these companies ' sermonizing grates, it'd be a dark day when financial institutions like banks begin ringfencing customers' funds because they didn't buy vegan burgers, or voted Lib Dems ?

The truckers and the public who donated to Gofundme thought they had a choice and not only where their money confiscated from the truckers but their bank accounts blocked and their personal details released so that they could be targeted. Not surprisingly there is no reporting of any of it on the BBC website. Just doom and gloom and propaganda

That's because Trudeau's petulant and spiteful. Imagine using that rhetoric as your first course of action.....

I don't think emergency powers were supposed to be flouted like this, doxxing would definitely not have been part of that

Don't forget the GoFundme hacker who openly admitted to hacking, but seems to have escaped any consequences.

One rule for one, and another for others.

I don't think it's too dramatic to say the handling of the Canadian Trucker demonstration is a sad day for democracy, liberty and freedom, worldwide.

This has been on the cards for a number of years and talked about by "conspiracy theorists" and now most of it is at our doorstep, they want to digitize / surveil every aspect of life as a means of control, nothing more nothing less. Icke said it for decades, that they they want a single electronic currency, no pounds no euros, dollars, yen, rand etc just one single elcetronic currency for the whole world, and how easy it will be to disable dissenters money.
 
Probably why Crypto's being somewhat demonized as of late, as it will 'destabilize' financial institutions etc etc

Or, what's more likely, is that Government and traditional Finance sectors want it centralized and be able to call the shots.

70%+ of Canadians do not support the freedom convoy. And they want them out of the capital region.

the leaders/organizers of the convoy were arrested late last night. Police presence is heavy and barriers are up to protect the parliament building. Let’s see what happens today. People are willing to lose their livelihood and die on this hill and for what? Freedom? Maybe they mean privileges.

The truckers travelled across the country with stickers that said fuck Trudeau. Fuck the government. And are in Ottawa with the same signs. That is freedom. Maybe we should ask the people of bellarusse or Russia what happens when they protest. Tho cops there are not shaking their hands. They’re gunning them down.

@dionysus correct me if I’m wrong. But no one cares for the freedom convoy in this country except the freedom convoy. This is just us being Canadian. The not bothered part. Everyone I speak to or every radio show I listen to it’s the same. We just can’t be bothered. We’re just ok. Let them have their moment. Now let’s move on. It’s enough. You’ve had your 5 min. Made your point. Let’s get back to life. Go home.
 
I think openly objecting to mandatory vaccinations so as to be allowed to function in society goes beyond mere privilege, it's a fundamental right worth defending. Just sad how many are happy to spit on people's autonomy and actively ostracize them for their own choices in a supposed 'democratic' society....

Emergency powers, aggressive rhetoric, complete lack of engagement to thrash out an agreement or hear their concerns, threatening to remove people's children and pets, seizing their finances etc.....true marks of a great leader no doubt! But I reiterate: he's dishy and got a magnificent mop of hair, stunning even ?

By the same token, you'd think the truckers' point is 'made', and that they're hurting friends, colleagues, small businesses, countrymen - I don't recall any time in recent memory where outright blackmailing governments has had the desired result. Even here, we've had days of repetitious 'protests' by eco- zealots, up to when their message got lost, and they had, you know, injunctions taken out against them (not snipers though - see the difference).

So whilst this chapter comes to an end, it'll be interesting to see what comes of all this now, and whether it's actually all been for nothing....
 
I think the millions of dollars raised in support is no mean feat and that alone could be seen as a triumph against an oppressive regime.

Along with the fuel stolen and then returned by the Police, five provinces back down over mandates, spur of protests around the world, throw in the character assassinations and misinformation about protests being anything but peaceful. Chuck in the emergency powers on top, and I would call it a triumph, and most definitely a demonstration of where the power ultimately lies if we band together. They were against the ropes for a while.

Have they been removed yet? New Police Chief reckons this weekend, doesn't he?

Not a bad result, however it plays out. If it gives some people a little encouragement to stand up for human rights and the rights of others, it's a success in my humble opinion.

So an illegal blockade and heavy-fisted, go is rare.
We DONT want the fringe looni..er....protesters....to be akin to stateside. It isnt our bag. But yeah, we ALL support peaceful protesting, making your voice heard. We DON'T support illegal protests.

People can go all on calling Trudeau a despotic dictator. Because...what, he SUPPORTS what the majorrity is thinking and doing?

Whether hyped or not, it's certainly making big waves across the world, not the sort of thing that could be dismissed out of hand, or trivialized, try as you might. No one's 'enjoying' what's going on, and to default gaslight them as fringe lunatics is somewhat surprising.

10% of truckers kicking up a fuss shouldn't be dismissed as irrelevant, that's to say if those numbers are even accurate. But regardless, playing Simon Says because most people are vaxxed doesn't make the remainders' protestations any less important.

And secondly, how do you know my gym?!? :eek::p

10% are unvacced. Doesnt mean the entirety of the 10 percent is out there :)
