He's been like that since the start of the thread, I was constantly challenging him way back in April/May as he was constantly sprouting BS, time and time again I was asking for evidence, and guess what? Not one shred of evidence just conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory, in the end it was pointless feeding his need to troll because I knew there was never going to be one shred of evidence produced - how can he produce it when it doesnt exist.
You know what is good for destroying business? The owner dying from Covid-19. Or loads of their customers. You know whats bad for mental health? Having someone you love or care about die from covid-19. You know whats bad for education? Having half the class off as someone caught Covid-19, disrupting lessons, or having the teacher die of it.Still waiting for proof lockdowns work, 10 months and counting . Several things they are really good at: , destroying businesses, jobs, mental health, cancer and heart treatments, mental health, kids education, child abuse. They are wonderful at these things. I know, lets have another one.

Another person who hasn’t got someone close working for the nhs doesn’t matter how much the government spunks or weather not a field hospital was used are you working in an ICU right now underpaid understaffed and overwhelmed? I thought notI do remember you gleefully telling us things were so bad they built nightgale hospitals because there was makeshift mortuarys..remind me again how many patients ever went through the doors of one of these pop up hospitals...oh yeah NONE...another shit load of money spunked away by the gubermint.

So can you link to where the UN says lockdowns have driven 270,000,000 to near-starvation please? And here we go again when you cannot counter the argument made you resort to the ad hominem of attacking the person and ignore the point well done, so I am only allowed to state facts if I work in an ICU or have relatives that do? and facts are only truth if I work in an ICU or have relatives that do and if I don't facts are lies, you know how daft you sound.
Not by me he hasn't. I call him out for telling lies and posting fake news. It's dangerous.Yes I am probably biased but dealer has been targeted for his views,
Missed this, sorry. Over half NHS staff are non clinical, so thats a massive difference, think theres only 650000 clinical staff (thats without checking so might not be exactly right). But that includes people like Midwives, mental health nurses, staff like that who have absolutely no ICU training. You couldn't ask them to work in ICU as they wouldn't have a clue what to do.Maybe in future we should have separate 'virus hospitals' for flu, covid, winter vomiting bug etc.. one in each region, reduce the risk of inhospital transmission to patients in hospital for other things like cancer, stroke, heart ops etc...
BTW The NHS is the fifth largest employer in the world according to the bbc, so it's unlikely lack of money and manpower is the primary issue but how that is managed most effectively.

I realize (truly) y'all hate me saying this >Sorry to interject but maybe things need to cool down a bit with the thread being locked until the morning? Dion has tried to calm things diplomatically and it has not seemed to work.

I am doing my utmost to avoid confrontations in this forum now but I have found it quite easy. I no longer have such an emotional investment in the forum that I once had and opinions are like arseholes. I spent 4 or so years without any issue in here and then Covd, the American election/NK thread and Brexit all collided to make this forum the perfect storm for conflict and venting frustrations.I realize (truly) y'all hate me saying this >
Play nice, be civil, refer to posting rules, yeah?
Reports, PMs, tags...it's tiring
NOONE WANTS to be the ogre
Y'all might think 'Dio's the dick'
Tougher than you realize.
Havent in TWO years dropped an infraction.
We had a Bryan dedicated thread
Just...play nice![]()

Hospitals are set up in the way you suggest, you would rarely, if ever, get cancer patients on a ward with people on ventilators as they have flu, for example. So the cross contamination should, in theory, be low.
Totally agree. The money wasted in the NHS is ridiculous.I thought that was one of the reasons given by the govt for postponing tests and treatments, to stop those patients [say with cancer] from a risk of exposure to covid?
The point about the size of workforce is money is obviously there for a gigantic bureacracy when it would be better spent on hiring and training more nurses and docs, I remember looking at the proportions of admin to clinical staff for when the nhs was set up, it was massively different iirc, and with computers and years of knowhow we should require less admin and layers of expensive management now not more.
200 per million in a week is not a cause for alarm, its nothing !!! If it was 50,000 per million we would have that thing called.... a pandemic. Not by me he hasn't. I call him out for telling lies and posting fake news. It's dangerous.
Recent example
80 hospital admissions per million is normal if not below average for early January
Now, I don't actually know if thats true or not, but he posted it to imply hospitals aren't any busier than normal.
Here are the current Covid-19 hospital admissions per million, and that excludes normal admissions.
View attachment 148538
So 250% higher than he claims is normal (clearly NOT normal then), and thats ONLY Covid-19 admissions.
He's replied twice to me asking to link to the data, and both times shown something completely different.
Thats why I pull him on things. His lies and fake news. Nothing to do with his views at all.
Just also to say, I'm presuming it's weekly as that seems to be the way they are reported, but as he didn't say then it's just guesswork.
So where did you get your 80 per million figure from? And 200 is 250% higher than what you said was normal.200 per million in a week is not a cause for alarm, its nothing !!! If it was 50,000 per million we would have that thing called.... a pandemic.

], but how many different vaccines can you keep giving people if they've just now had the previous pfizer one.I thought the reason was that they weren't dangerous to us, so there was no need for a vaccine.I do remember months back reading one of the reasons why a vaccine has never been successfully created for the coronavirus family of viruses is they mutate and change so much, I think Harry mentioned that too.
Last week Pfizer said no problem we can just adjust the formula/strain to match the kent mutation [no pun], but how many different vaccines can you keep giving people if they've just now had the previous pfizer one.
You as well and sorry for your struggles - I hope this year yields better results for your familyStay safe everyone.
Thanks and I hope for everyone this year we start at some point to climb out of this dark hole. You as well and sorry for your struggles - I hope this year yields better results for your family
And they weren’t used because lockdown worked, so you are just proving that it’s sensible to have a lockdown.I do remember you gleefully telling us things were so bad they built nightgale hospitals because there was makeshift mortuarys..remind me again how many patients ever went through the doors of one of these pop up hospitals...oh yeah NONE...another shit load of money spunked away by the gubermint.
I watching a video of good ol'e Boris on the lockdown. Man he looks stressed.
He could brush his hair like, the disrespectful twatTrophy wife, new baby, worldwide pandemic.......but you know what they say.....if you cant stand the heat.

I think that it is way too early to attribute the deaths reported so far as being caused by the vaccines. Elderly dying within days of getting it proves nothing and nor does a few relatively young people dying prove anything out of the already millions who have had it. I am not fan of this vax but I am open to being proven wrong.Vaccines going well. SA strain cant beat them, and this lol

Dont mind opposing views and a bit of banter but the tone of the last few pages is hardly productive, lets all
be adult and get back to what is important and leave the playground comments out of it, threats to sort each
other out is well out of order.I understand we are all frustrated and our views will depend on how we are affected
personally by the virus.
Hang in there, the Gov has at last seen sense and is implimenting the measures needed and we are a world leader in the number of people being
vaccinated, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

They really didn't like her questions hahaAnd isn't it ironic that your very first post started 'Anyone concerned about the Chinese flu virus'.Who could have predicted almost a year later exactly how worried everyone would be (well the sensible ones amongst us anyway) and the dramatic impact it would have on all our lives.Irrelevant but wierd , this thread, has reached exactly 500 pages on New Years Day
Go on blame me,it was only a simple question, should never have asked it, I did post early on I had a feeling that this virus was a bitAnd isn't it ironic that your very first post started 'Anyone concerned about the Chinese flu virus'.Who could have predicted almost a year later exactly how worried everyone would be (well the sensible ones amongst us anyway) and the dramatic impact it would have on all our lives.

So cancer research UK states that there are roughly 367000 new cancer cases per year.So covid manages to get on to the IOM again, yet Boris Shitty and Unbalanced thinks lockdown will work with a population of 67,000,000.
Definition of insanity in perfect illustration.
Still feck the 3,000,000 that still havnt received any income for 12 months, dont worry about the 1,500,000 cancers growing undetected, sod the fatal heart disease of 10,000s untreated. Oh and 300% suicide increase, fuck em they were unstable anyway probably, children's futures, well said Whitty I will be retired by the time it comes out I fucked their futures.
Lets lockdown again even though it will do nothing to reduce the numbers, if anything increase transmission.
Einstein would be so proud of this government's intelligence, he was quoted as saying, repeating the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the best course of action.

- He actually defined insanity as 'doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results'.
