Respectfully, I disagree. This is a place for discussion about coronavirus-related topics and what could be more relevant than the PM of the UK. Personally, I would li to read what. @lockinlove has to say.
I don’t know exactly what @lockinlove does for a living but I do know myself from working with medical doctors daily in a virology research lab, you tend to pick up a thing or two. Not the same as an MD, but this is a discussion forum.
So no other political figure done the same harry? He shook hands with COVID-19 patients, for crying out loud and even bragged about it. He has a pregnant partner at home, did he think of her and the baby at that moment? It is purely irresponsible and IMO sheer stupidity. That is akin putting your hand into a hungry lion's mouth and hoping he would not bite.
BTW, most of the others you mentioned are not PM.
I truly wish him well and hope he'll recover.
So no other political figure done the same harry?
They kind of did...
Or don’t you have a issue unless it’s Boris or trump?
pretty boring mate this agenda...
You have ignored the fact that I’ve stated many other political figures floated the guidelines harry and done worse than what Boris did infact. It is sad you see everything through a political lense.
For me, he is a human being first. If you think different, then I'm sorry.
I can't remember any other PM/president of any other country going into a hospital shaking hands with active COVID-19 patients without protective equipment. So, unless you have some article about that, I would say: "No, no other political figure was that stupid."

where is your outrage for those leaders?
I must go to bed now mate, should you want to address this tomorrow I can provide at least 3 nation leaders whom done worse.
let’s speak about those tomorrow mate. all the best as always and keep safe.
ben

At first I was manager of health records when I was younger and back then we didnt need any schooling of any sort for it. So I was able to save on time and money by getting my foot in the door and moving up rather fast. I was 18 when I first started.
I went through 4 years of school, 4 years of medical school and then 2 years of residency. I was an ER doctor for two years and a position in hospital management came up and was offered to a group of us. I was one of the few people who applied as others in our field, wanted to remain in their field. I also completed my fellowship in toxicology. I have now been in the field for 21 years.
I am also one of the few people in our team lead of covid-19 in our hospital and I speak to all of CEO's in Ontario, CDC and WHO from the USA and Canada. I was supposed to be leading one of our test centers until I started to not feel well and they needed me in another area instead of out in the field. I spend the first 4 hours of my day reading reports, making decisions and having conference calls with government officials, CEO's and various other health experts. I then spend the next hour with covid-19 patients reading their charts and speaking to ICU doctors and nurses. The next 3 hours I go through the day logs, our staffs health reports and continue to deal with our medical staff.
As for playfords emotional post, he is upset and seems scared. It's a trying time for all of us and when you see someone as important as a prime minister of a country falling, you can react poorly.
I deal with it often, people arent used to this type of stuff. None of what I posted is unprofessional or scare mongering. It's the truth and this is just how it plays out and playford you will have to accept my posts both past and future, as I will not be changing how I post at all. I just ask that you be a little more respectful in the future as trying to take swipes at me when you have no idea what I do or who I am is fairly unnecessary.
I also wont be responding to those types of posts in here. I am busy with this and I do take my time to come and post here as people do seem to appreciate it. I would rather next time you ask me what I do, instead of accuse me of not having knowledge or experience.
Here or in my field, I am polite but we also dont sugar coat things. I post here because its a nice little stress reliever to talk it out and post whats on my mind and I know a lot of people read this forum and it can make an impact. Plus I do know a lot of people here, some which I consider friends and personalities I enjoy.
Playford made a comment that my field deserves more praise than others. That's not how you should look at people. It takes all types of jobs to make the world go around. The car engineers, allow us to get to hospitals. The farmer, feeds us. The builder, builds us homes to live in. The grocery clerks, process the food we eat. The doctors take care of the sick. The fishermen catch the fish we all eat. Please do not look down on anyone or their job, they contribute to society.
Sometimes you get reps or software designers who specialize in that field and sometimes you get health professionals that can contribute at a time like this. I have never really spoken of my life on here aside from saying I work in a hospital and maybe mentioned health records etc because well this isnt a very respected past time in our field. Also, It's a forum and an escape from your every day life. And trust me when hospitals are quiet, things can get very slow and very boring as you guys witnessed in the Trump thread awhile back ;p
You would actually be surprised how many professionals gamble, play poker and have various hobbies that entice a different type of adrenaline. You need something strong to get your mind away from sickness and bad days.
Right now the world is in a crazy place, lets all remember to respect each other at least.

You need to scrub it clean.
I prefer to use dogs.
Your gif has been removed.
You were clearly trying to blow up locks comment.Who
Nooooo, don’t remove the gif!
And what comment was I trying to erase?
If you don’t have the time to answer, no worries.
@lockinlove
You may have opened Pandora’s box. I have so many questions!
What type of test is Canada currently using? Blood test or rt-PCR? And if it is PCR, doesn’t that take a long time? How do the labs keep up and release test results in a timely manner? Have false positives/negatives been a problem? Do you use the primers from the WHO or do you (or Canada) create your own?
I think I’ll leave it there. If you don’t have the time to answer, no worries.
He's in quite a bad way. I don't think the prognosis looks great

I was reading the other day that once someone gets on a ventilator it's a crapshoot and they have no idea of the outcome, regardless of age and condition.Wishing for a good outcome for Boris, but if he does move to the ventilation stage the mortality rate
is 50 to 80% from what I have read.

My husband & son were working overtime at the weekend. In 2 different hospitals. A/E is the quietest they’ve ever seen. All nurses have PPE they blame the media for false reporting. They are managing the crisis exceptionally well at the moment. Fully prepared if things get worse
Speaking of spreading propaganda...How much longer will this propaganda keep going on.
Predicted 200k deaths yet we have had a few thousand only of which most would have died anyway and the peak is over.
Swede, the only country operating as normal had the lowest deaths out of all the countries on lockdown...........GO FIGURE
As for the NHS being swamped, it's all media driven BULLSHIT. Read what actual people who work there are saying....
Go read directly from people who work in the NHS or family members do, and they all stating they are coping fine and it's not that busy.
Utter madness.

you can see the moment the bloke at 0:47 dies a little inside![]()

Just saw the total as I hadn't followed the figures in a whileNumber of UK coronavirus deaths jumps by 786

The live update page has it at 1417 which is still huge.Duuno where you saw that, I read it was 357
ah okFrance getting battered. 1437 new deaths in the last 24hr. New record I believe.
Edit: 884 fatalities in nursing homes that occurred over a period of several weeks and that were announced only today. That explains it.
Raab and richi. That’s the order should the lion be out of action for a long period.Question for the Brits:
I read that the UK does not a formal succession procedure in the event a sitting prime minister becomes incapacitated for any length of time. Is this true?
This is for you @paul7388
Im not sure where the music comes from, it just kind of starts whenever im out walking.
