it did make a massive difference nationally, hospitals went from crisis point to virtually free of cases,but
as we are seeing now it didnt cure the problem,just made it dormant and gave us time which seems to have been wasted, unfortunatley i think the problem is the young people, just looking at the heat charts proves it and if you want to make a serious difference you have to tackle that, not just refuse to close schools point blank.

Yes I know, my point being, after 4 weeks the cases were still rising. theres nothing to suggest it would be different this time, so I genuinely don't understand what a 4 week lockdown would do? I can guarantee though, if they did lockdown say this weekend for 4 weeks, it would last at least another month.

At work today they asked me to wear a mask (indoors) to walk 3 metres, yet we are sharing gloves, hard hats and ppe... Which they provide as I’m on a 4 week training course...

When questioned on the insanity of this they said they Are just following what they have been told..

It’s very important as if it’s something else then the figures are bogus to a extent.

Also that amount is tiny, It’s frankly insignificant.

The government has done all it can to hide the true figures since day 1 so I cant see
why they would over report the deaths now,without doubt the deaths are going up
showing that the tier system is a confusing bag of shit thats doing nothing to help.

From all the 100s of hours reading/listening to all sorts of media over the last 3 months, I know our government is 100% exaggerating the deaths, testing, positive cases on purpose, and are also lying about hospitals being overwhelmed etc

They refuse to listen to many top experts in their field who say lockdowns are not the way to go, they refuse to listen to anyone who says look at Sweden, the control group who's citizens have gone through covid without the mental torture of lockdowns, and who's jobs and businesses aren't being destroyed on an unprecedented scale.

Also more and more figures of thousands of excess deaths already, caused directly by lockdown, and hundreds of thousands of people now sentenced to death over untreated cancer and serious illnesses.

The only logical reason for this is that they are doing it on purpose.

I am a sane person who has never been a conspiracy theory fan ever, but this level of lunacy cannot be explained by any logical reason or incompetence.

The government's actions are leading to millions of job and business losses, and looming severe economic issues. A declining economy causes poverty and deprivation. they cant be that stupid, so must be doing it on purpose.

Rubbish, having seen the South Tyneside & Sunderland Trust's bed figures a couple of weeks ago (and other times) I can tell you they were overwhelmed, and that mechanical ventilator beds have been full more than once. They were at 86% capacity a couple of weeks ago.

They refuse to listen to many top experts in their field who say lockdowns are not the way to go, they refuse to listen to anyone who says look at Sweden, the control group who's citizens have gone through covid without the mental torture of lockdowns, and who's jobs and businesses aren't being destroyed on an unprecedented scale.

Why would they look at a country who did worse than it's neighbours who did have a lockdown? Why don't you complain they aren't looking at Norway, who did have a lockdown, and figures are significantly better than Sweden's?

And we have 50% of Swedens population with a density that is about 100x higher than in Sweden. Something is definitely not adding up.

Could it be that people are just handling it better by adhering to basic rules for a limited period? Could it be that we are OK to give up a small part of our freedoms for a limited period without frantically construing conspiracy theories or marching in protests?

Who knows! Maybe, just maybe, but something is just not adding up, right?

Just in case you are still in doubt. This is the chart for VIC since the pandemic began. Can you see the 2 curves and the similarities to 1918? The last lockdown lasted some 100 days. They did not have a single case in the last 2 days.

You can check the population density if you think that is a major factor but Melbourne is quite a metropolitan area. FYI, VIC is just coming out of their winter period, so they are somewhat ahead of the Northern hemisphere.

What is it doing in china atm? Seeing as it came from that environment I don't hear much about a lockdown in china, and I believe they still have large elderly and rural populations - where you can't really do track and trace, strict hygiene and quarantines. Has it just disappeared?

Have you ever eaten that 'natto' stuff, I heard it is a great source of vitamin K, which can do a lot of good for your health. Not sure you can buy it in the uk other than from a specialist japanese food store.

I could probably drink it cold or tepid, and guzzle it down, but not hot. Afaik the black tea we commonly drink in the uk [normally with milk] is the same as green tea but extra fermented which means it loses nutrients?

In fact I'm getting parched so I'll make a brew now

Yes, tea is tea. Be it green, white or black. All of them are good. Matcha is a version of green tea where the leaves are grounded, so it's probably even better for you.

But adding milk to tea is just pure evil! It should be outright illegal.

In my part of Sweden the cases are rising a little as in all of Sweden. I'm not so scared anymore though, and I think we will be ok

I'll give you one example from this thread: Fauci and WHO are big pharma puppets that's why they say HXQ is not working because they want to sell Remdesivir. Will make them a ton of money. Oh, and Bill Gates was/is in it too. Just last week or two ago, WHO releases a report that Remdesivir is not a suitable treatment nor a cure for Covid-19. It helps a little in mild cases or right at the beginning. So they followed the science and published factual findings. It was all over the news.

Did those people come forward and acknowledged that they were wrong? That they wrongly slandered scientists who saved countless lives in their decades of battling infectious diseases? No, instead they started peddling another conspiracy theory. You seem to be fine with that, I am not.

I agree, europe is riddled with the Kung-flu, as much as I disagree with it all a second lockdown is coming.

Had they done this correctly in the first place we would not be here now.

IMO The reason UK doing relatively well is we had a weaker lockdown that most of Europe, so have a bit more herd immunity.

The stricter the March lockdowns were, the less immunity hence higher rates now.

I also predict that our infections will start dropping off now students and schools back, which was the main driver of the spike (along with expected seasonal increase in respiratory illness expected every year).

If I were in charge , I would remove all restrictions, and encourage people to keep distance where possible out and about, wash hands, and anyone extremely vulnerable to isolate if the wish to.

The last thing the UK needs is 3 million more lost jobs when our economy is already in the shitter.

Ignore this nonsense and get back to normal, luckily I’m classed as a key worker now, past 7 months due to this BS I had nothing and was struggling mentally and financially.

Open the U.K. back up ASAP.
