hello, just registered, please help!
here goes: I registered at connecto and recieved the sign up bonus. I asked how old I had to be to play and they told me 18. I chatted with max on online help. I asked him the date on live chat. I recorded the conversation and saved it for my records. I finished my playthru and then some after recieving my bonus. I ended up around 2200!. Needless to say I was very happy! So after making 100 percent sure I could play I did. When I tried to log in it wouldn't let me, and they said because of my age . I nearly fell off my chair when they said that. I have played Playtechs before where they say you have to be 18 and I have had no problem cashing out. B/c when you enter a place of business, as I understand, and their rules are 18, then I am good. Anyway, I sent in my request to withdraw and my info to connecto via email and I have recieved no response!
What should I do?
Please help, I'm sad :(

P.s. I have the live chat session saved where 'max' explicitly states I have to be 18 to play and I get him to say the date which was may 5th 05 and I had already deposited so I knew I was legal. I told him I had not already deposited b/c I didnt want him changing the age limit on me b/c he told me earlier it was 18 but I had no proof! But now I do.

I would guess that Max deliberately misled you to elicit a deposit with non-cashable winnings. The terms say:

"There is no age requirement to play the online casino games for fun, however, in order to play for real money, you must be at least 21 years of age and the legal age of majority for your jurisdiction."

As such, he did not lie - you CAN play at 18. Just not for money. You have to admit, that's a pretty slick trick.

Unless you have a dated screenshot which says otherwise, you don't have a lot of recourse here. Max's deception doesn't bolster your case because strictly speaking he didn't lie.

When you are dealing with these places you have to take an awful lot of backup. When I played at Connect, I acually took screenshots of the WHOLE site, believe it or not. The age requirement, however, is plainly stated, right at the top of the FAQ page. This was a trap you fell into through your own negligence.

scam

Wow sounds like they got you hook line and sinker. Yeah he didn't lie but I'm sure he said nothing about playing for real. Wow sorry to hear this. Sounds like you had one hell of a pay day coming. :(

that sucks for you, i wonder why he said 18 and not any age, i would have assumed to that he meant 18 for real money b/c technically by saying 18, it means you have to be at least 18, even to play for free

Sounds like the casino intentionally misled you. I'm surprised this isn't considered to be a rogueable offence. Obviously if you lost the casino would've kept your money. It also allowed you to deposit despite the obvious inference that you were 18. I'll certainly not play at such a place.

Some of the casinos I've seen recently have "legal age" in their T&C....A very grey area. They didn't come right out and say "legal age to gamble", just legal age; which here in the USA would be 18 for legal, but 21 to be legal "enough" to gamble. Question is are they intentionally wording their T&C to make it look like you can play @ 18 because you're of legal age then if you win deny it? Sure sounds like it in this case.

With the logs he has, they should at least refund his deposit minus bonus (if any).

The casino software should not have allowed this player to open a real account if he was under 21.

Thats what I was thinking. Since they did let him open an account and play they really should pay him his winnings without delay. But in this crazy world of online casinos greed rules over common decency and fairness far too many times.

Great News

GREAT NEWS YALL!!
Here is a copy of an email address I recieved from John Spears, the Connecto manager. He is being very honest and I appreciate that.
Subject: Re: Age related complaint

Dear Stella,

The manager (I) never got your email ;-) No person actually locked your account. The casino software did it on it's own since we activated a system wide hard coded limit of minimum age of 21 on the software a week or so ago. I realize that we had you as a client before this new limit was implemented. I have therefore activated your particular account. You should be able to login now.

Nope.... if they can ban people for posting here and not get rogued over it, don't get your hopes up about a rogueing for this.
