Concrete difference(s) in lower RTP slot versions?

Something I've been curious about. What exactly is different, let's say in Blood Suckers as a drastic example, between VS's 94% RTP compared to the original 98%? Is the hit chance lower, or is the paytable worse, or maybe both?

It could be a combination of lots of things....a slightly lower win frequency, a slightly lower feature frequency, slightly less big wins.

How I think about it is basically: If you do 10000 spins. You'll miss 100x feature 4 times with lower RTP.

Different providers will do it in different ways, and they're (a) Under no obligation to tell players what they've changed and (b) It will vary from provider to provider.

Just do yourself a favour and don't play the lower RTP versions, unless you enjoy voluntarily setting fire to your money and/or feel like making charitable donations to casinos.

The basic maths show that in the case of blood suckers, its costing 3 times as much to play on 94%, one hell of a difference which
will drasticaly reduce the playtime on a bankroll.Bloody suckers is low volatile and i would think the game adjustments woud be reduction
of base game hits and lower feature paybacks. On Red Tiger games which are hi vol or super high vol , they seem to reduce the feature
hits but maintain the payout potential when you do achieve one, the base game hits dont seems to change that much but the hit ratio is probably
a bit lower.Balancing a game when set to a low percentage is a fine art, which a lot of providers dont seem to know how to do.

Check this info out for the latest Gnatent, Fruit Shop Meagreways:

NOTICE HOW THE WIN FREQUENCY REMAINS THE SAME AT THE DIFFERENT RTP LEVELS!!!

This suggests that the reduced RTP is taken from the feature and/or high wins to retain the player's impression that it 'plays the same' whichever RTP it is on. Very sly.

The good news is that if the whole world population of say 7.8bn all took 55 spins, one of them would win 20,000x bet or more.:laugh:

I recall from years ago that it was revealed that the 91 % setting on the RTG slot Fruit Frenzy had two pears on top of each other on one of the wheels. The other RTP versions did not have this.

So back then at least, RTG changed the reel lay outs on their slots for the different RTP settings. RTG used non-weighted wheels, meaning that their slots had fixed reel strips with random stops, like MG. Don't know if they still do.

Just stay away, if the traffic drops on affected games maybe they'll have a rethink (unlikely but I live in hope)
Meanwhile full rtp games will be getting all of my play (and commission)

Strictly speaking, the same advice applies to slots in general ;)
