Hey all ;)

Anyone up for a party in Vegas the last week of May?

When I was out there a few weeks ago, I "won" an entry (Got a suited blackjack) to the LV Hilton's $100K blackjack tourney that takes place May 26-28...1st place is $50K.

Sooo, that's a great excuse to go again, right??? :D

I was just wondering if anyone else could make it out as well...? It'll be a fun time, to say the least :p

Count me in!

Where is Vegas?......we always talk the talk, this time lets walk the walk....I will be in charge of comped rooms, prolly can get at least 5 for 2 to 3 days but I will prolly go Caesar's in the new Augustus Tower or Palms if there is an event worth staying there. Pick a Harrahs other than Caesars and I will work on the rooms!.....I don't think you want me on the entertainment committee though:D

Awesome ;)

So far, the best rate I've gotten is like $150 for the week of 22-29 at the Flamingo. 5 nights comped ;)

Entertainment??? what's that?

If you can swing a room for me and a mate I'll be more flush for the casino (see online providers? It works out in the end)
But I'm okay booking my own junket as well. If so I'll be at Rio or Mainstreet, but we can all still cheer Winbig on at the tourney:thumbsup:

I don't see having more than 2k bankroll unless I get lucky in the meantime, so no sense watching me play :)

Did you miss my last Vegas thread? I took $100 up to $5K in a week...so anything's possible

WTG! Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. I'm just saying, i ain't no baller or high roller:p

Of Course anything is possible, it's VEGAS Baby!!!

Entertainment??? what's that?
I need to use this also before my 7 Star Status renews. Caesars has some great restaurants and they will comp it in full as the $500 is their boilerplate amount for website purposes only!

Rio will work. Y'all (southern) firm up the deal but give me a little bit of lead time to take care of getting rooms as I think that is prolly Memorial Day W-E. I will book the best restaurant at Caesars and if we show we show, no biggie if we don't!

Slumber Party!!! :)

for some folk... pallet out west, and I guess down south, means bedroll

I would love to go. Gotta wait until kind of last minute though. It depends on how I feel and if I got the fundage. If not, Maye someday we can meet in A.C.

That would be so much fun! Hey Winbig...maybe we can even take the same flight!

WinBig lives 15 minutes from me in PA, I think Nash meant he likes WB's idea of going to Vegas. I love vegas too but it's so much money w/o having the gambling bankroll. We shall see,

Maybe we can have two....The Vegas trip for those who can afford it and the Atlantic City for those who are closer to here and want to meet each other :) I can email my host when the time comes to see about getting some comp rooms at the Trop

About 250 each rt/no room from PHL on cheaptickets.com 26th return 30th... I'm sure you could find a package as well :)

Oh my, I have been trying to decide when would be a good time to go this year and that is right around my b-day. I'm sure I could make that trip!! Keep us posted on the exact dates. We have cheap flights from here year round.

UPDATE:

I'm registered at www.farecompare.com, and just got an alert that a flight from Philadelphia to Vegas has dropped just over $100! (NWA)

Keep your eyes open, I'm sure they'll be dropping even more (I hope) ;)

So far, the dates I'm looking at are from around the 23-30...give or take a day or two. I'm planning on getting my tickets and reservations in late Feb. Hopefully I can score a deal on bidding on tickets at priceline :D If not, no biggie...I'll always find a deal.

Thats the most fun trip you can ever have...I've managed to do that about twice in all my years of gambing at land based casinos.

One of my most memorable trips ever was when we had only took about $1,800.00 with us for a two day stay at Harrahs Cherokee and we had basically lost it all (bad weekend), we were just getting ready to leave and head home after we had finished our meal in the restaurant, I had a five dollar bill in my pocket and I told my wife to hang on a minute that I was going to try it in a .25c Five Times Pay machine and she reluctantly sat down with me.

I stuck it in the machine and on my first spin I think I hit something like $20.00 or $30.00 so I upped my bet to max for the machine which I believe was $1.25 at the time and about five or six spins later lo and behold I had a jackpot going off on the machine for $1,875.00....:D:D:D

Was paid the jackpot and we left for home being up $75.00 for the weekend...One of the best trips overall for coming back I have ever had !!

I just found out that my brother gave my dad a trip to India in March for Christmas and since I wont travel that far Im gonna go to his house in Florida while they are away sometime in March. My step grandmom would like some company so she's not alone while they are away. Last year it was China, I wish (and so does my dad) he would just do a nice easy Italy trip. Maybe next year...he wants to rent a villa in Tusdcany ( I would love that)

You never know with me though, My brothers have so many miles built up, I just might ask one of them for a RT to Vegas. I can cover the hotel, Ive been there in May and the rates are quite reasonable, especially those last minute deals on expedia. I just saw 3 days at MGM with Air included for $249 on Expedia last night! THat's cheap

May that is going to be a crazy month here in Ct with the new MGM Casino at Foxwoods opening. They say it's going to be one big party.
I still say Mohegan Sun and ride over to Foxwoods for all the freebees
And as a Tour operator they say great things for us are going to happen.
And I have 15 trips already on the books for May

VEGAS OR BUST:D

Our hosts regularly prospect active accounts and then make contact when level of play has been reached. Because Las Vegas is such a highly sought after vacation destination, we require a slightly elevated level of play for one to qualify for Host assignment compared to some of our other properties across the nation. However, in the mean time our Casino Customer Service Department is available to you. They should be contacting you shortly with the rates/comps for the dates you mentioned.

Time to start looking for another casino group to call "Home", unless they come through with those 5 nights that were originally showing up as being comped. I should have taken screenshots.

Hello again,

I think my last stay in Vegas showed my level of play. I feel that I played above and beyond the level of any normal player, increasing my tier score by 3,000+ in 1 week.

But anyways, I wish I would have taken screenshots of what I saw in the reservations section last week. For those dates I originally quoted, it was showing up as having 5 nights that were comped, and that is all I am requesting.

Another issue I have is the fact that I have no offers listed for Vegas listed under "My offers". I'm not sure why, as I am signed up to receive offers for all LV and AC properties, but only see offers listed for AC (Atlantic City).

Thanks again for your help,

Anyways, hey Nash:

My mom is going to be there as well, looking at May 26-30. Is your offer still good about finding comp rooms for people? ;)

That's why I think that unless you are a 'whale' or go to Vegas for the atmosphere and shows as much as gambling, Reno is the better choice for straight-up gambling, imo (and the level of attention the hosts pay to me for being a lowballer :))

But that's neither here nor there, just an aside.

The slots phenom has really changed things. Couples are glad to go spend a couple hundred a day on slots, pay for shows and meals, and soon because of it room rates will adjust up up up. Reno, especially the outlying properties, practically beg you to come back.

What was my total trip expense including air for two when I went to the Peppermill... $800? They send me hundreds in free slot play and table matches and three nights in a suite almost every month. JANugget, Atlantis are almost as generous as well... the downtown joints are almost on par with my Vegas experiences. 4Queens was best to me a few years ago. I'm not a highroller by any means, but when I played there a lot, they comped me well. Luxor and the other MGM's and Harrah's hardly give me the time of day (but Luxor better than others)

But, Vegas is Vegas Baby!!!

Give me enough lead time (number of people and number of rooms) especially after my post last night in another thread of the WSOP starting May 30 at the Rio, prolly 2 to 3 nights can be done.......Changing the subject and as we corresponded before there is only so much you should expect from a LV strip casino comped upfront (unless you have established a strong play history that warrants, also helpful is to set up a minimum five figure LOC). Give them the play and they will pay:)

Reno and Lake Tahoe, especially Lake Tahoe are my favorite destinations especially in the winter. Love the sking in Lake Tahoe and the snowmobiles...been fishing a couple of times on the Lake too...

That's one of the runs on Heavenly Ski Resort looking out our window at Harrahs

the other is my ulgy mug with a hell of a nice rainbow trout I had just caught

I think Ill leave it to the aniversary bierfest. Far away but not far enough.

Casinomeister is a class outfit. 100% respectability, the only watchdog style site I know with high standards. No.1 in this industry without a doubt:thumbsup:

Not to stray too far, and certainly not to be a smartaleck, but me thinx that be a mackinaw, Rob... the forked tail tells me. Damn fine fish none the less :)

Damn Lojo you're absolutely right, it was a Mackinaw trout, we caught several of them that morning. I just got back in from being out on the river today actually fishing for Rainbow trout...I guess I still have them on my mind. But Mackinaw trout are really the best sport fishing on Lake Tahoe...thanks for the correction man !....:notworthy

Hmmm, let's go to Reno. Then Nash can throw us a party

Is that Printers Alley, Nashville?

David A. Collins, a lawyer who heads the Printers Alley Merchants Association, recalls that when he was a boy, his mother shielded his eyes from the alley. When he grew older, "I just drew to it like a moth to a flame," Mr. Collins said.

You are 100% correct!....A lot of the old time country music stars got their start in the clubs of the Alley!......SIDENOTE: The infamous Pacman Jones is back in the sports headlines today, unbelievable!

yay...I decided to take a SS this time :p It seems they decided to give my comps back...lol

This is for the Flamingo...

So, how's the 23-30 look for everyone so far?
Good job and congrats!....I am still game but we need to rally the troops!
