Anyone play at Club Gold? I'm just curious why they don't have any of the progressive games like Wall St or Queen of the Pyramids. Also I'm not seeing any of the Marvel games either. They used to and now they don't...it seems a little weird.

Hi, yes they have all games available, but they made it so, that the games offered depend on your vip level.
I am not certain what the idea behind this is, but you can request a level higher, with loss of some bonuses.
As far as i know.
You can better ask them in casinochat:)

Seriously? That's a very strange move - if you don't want players to play progressives with bonuses, restrict them in the terms and conditions. I just don't see what benefit you gain from removing these games from lower level players.

I actually opened an account awhile back but didn't play there because there were other issues with them that I was waiting to see pan out, and then my finances went in the hole so I never did. TBH I don't really like the idea of them limiting games. I normally don't take deposit bonuses at Playtech because I don't want to be limited in the games I play.

Usually this happens when you have a bonus to release. The system basically removes the games you arent allowed to play protecting you from accidentally playing and voiding your bonus/winnings. When I didnt have a bonus, I would ask them to replace the games and they would.

That would be a system i'd really approve of - removing excluded games so you can't make a mistake - but if that's what it's there for it should automatically reinstate the games once the WR for any active bonuses are met (or at the point of the removal of the bonus from your account in the case of sticky bonuses). Having to request they be put back on seems un-necessarily inconvenient and sounds like - though i'm willing to be corrected here - it would take more than just 2 min on live chat.

Yes, it seems i was mistaken: they are performing maintenance on certain slots, and things would be back to normal soon.
Cool casino so far, i only deposited once, yet played the gold rush and cashed out!, (posted screens in winner section few days back) it broke my 1,5 year of not cashing out spell:p :notworthy

And i accumulated quite the comppoints, which at my vip level ( the lowest) can only be redeemed per 4000 points, for 40E,-, which, to my surprise, could be cashed instantly!
Am i crazy or is this the only casino that does that?

Pretty much all Playtech casinos offer a similar comp point system; 1 comp point for every £/€/$10 wagered and 100 comp points gets you £/€/$1, cashable as soon as you convert them. Most Playtech's also offer improved redemption rates as you move up the VIP ladder. There are one or two exceptions - Mansion Casino springs to mind, their comp point program is far weaker than the standard Playtech program and Bet 365 offer vastly improved accrual rates for playing certain games giving them one of the best comp point programs on the market.

Regarding the availability of the progressive games within the Casino software.

I have pleasure in confirming that the progressive games are available for our players to enjoy.

However these games are not available to all players and only those with a unique account setting.

Upon instructing the casino of your wish to participate in these games your account status will be updated accordingly.

Players choosing to participate in this range of games will be unable to take advantage of the running match deposit bonuses offered by Club Gold Casino.
However “The Golden 5” bonus will be available to enhance their playing experience subject to terms and conditions which can be found on the following link:

On behalf of the casino I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience whilst the restructuring of our casino software was configured, and apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Hey Carmel - surely it would be better to simply restrict these games from play in the bonus terms so that when these players deposit without a bonus or complete the WR they can then play those games if they like? Is there another reason other than not wanting players to play these games with bonuses for this strategy?

I think the reason the casino limits access to the progressives is that these games 'cost' the casino money when played (they contribute x% to a common shared pot between the operators): if a person were to wager on the game using bonus funds, the casino would be double-charged by that common pot on those bets, and be paying both for the bonus it issued the player as well as their contribution to the progressive's pot...

I'm not arguing that might not be how the casino is seeing things, but realistically that argument makes little sense. The jackpot contribution is only a small slice of the overall house edge and when you subtract that from the house edge of the jackpot games which in many cases are higher than other games (take Beach Life at 6%+ and Glaidiator Jackpot at 8%+) most of the time the casino should still earn more off these games than other slots games.

What i would point out however is that given the large size of the bonuses that CGC offer even with low bets as long as you only play the wagering requirement high variance games would make those bonuses profitable. It would take an extremely well funded individual to deal with the variance, but to the casino all players that play those games can be considered one player and overall they are possibly playing with an edge over the casino.

I think the contributions are not from the house edge but from each bet placed (regardless of its outcome). What I forgot to mention earlier, is that what compounds the casinos' conservatism is that there is no certainty the jackpot will be won at that specific casino (i.e. a potential windfall for them, if they manage to keep the winner playing and losing back at a minimum, that casino's contribution to the pot).
