Clinton Trumped!

My mate rings me last night, 9PM - Dazza, you know about politics, I want to put £100 on Trump to win £570, Hillary is 1/5-on £100 to win £120 back. "Don't be daft - she'll win certainly." says me. :o:o

I've fired off an e-mail to Donald, asking if he'll allow Netent and Microgaming back for the other 47 states lol...:D

Seriously, as in the UK the Polls are hideously wrong again. Why haven't they seen the pattern? As here the US media have demonized and attempted to marginalize those of right-wing persuasions so they mumble embarrassedly in the polls "I don't know how I'm voting" but in the last untouched bastion of a skewed Democracy, the ballot box, they can act without pressure and express how they really feel.

Still, as he's half-Scottish I'm sure Donald will have fun with Nicola Sturgeon :D:D:D when he visits his golf course there.

Well crooked Hillary - Trump's dumped on you from a great height. I can't help smiling...

Yet again Nigel Farage backed a winner!

I have just listened to his speech and it seemed very optimistic as far as relations with the likes of Russia goes. He kept calling it a "movement" as apposed to a political party. Its like he is distancing himself from old politics.
Time will tell but I want to be optimistic

PS. I hope the Clinton Foundation is investigated fully and the Clinton's thrown in jail

best news this year, after all the third one may not knock yet with its nuclear power. certainly could have happened over hillary wishes to install no-fly-zones near russian bases in syria leading to nothing but disaster. now that he is crowned he may need the list of untouchables and never forget the kennedy pattern of disobedient do-gooder.

I can't help wondering whether the mostly virulently anti-Trump US media, polls and celebrity support for Clinton was overdone to the extent that it actually pushed voters the other way.

The fact that his own Republican party gave him so little support makes the win all the more surprising.

Whatever the cause, it was a quite remarkable late turnaround and a significant victory following very hostile election campaigning by two of the most disliked candidates (depending on who you supported) I believe we have yet seen in US elections.

At least Trump has had the good sense to make his victory speech about embracing all Americans and uniting the nation...whether the political establishment will go along with that or remain locked in Congressional conflict remains to be seen.

Truly astounding. I'm surprised that the DNC didn't see this coming, however. They had a clear path to victory with Bernie but opted for Hillary instead because it was "her turn". They chose the one candidate that Donald could win against.

Very worried for my American friends. Republican presidencies have historically been catastrophic, and with Donald as the figurehead this time around, I can't say I'm too optimistic.

So Trump did it, and out of the 2 candidates Trump was the lesser of the two evils for me personally.
Clinton had the US media paid off, and the reason the world hated Trump as much as they do was because of all the crap the controlled media spouted.
But with the emails that were dumped by WikiLeaks and the corrupt corporate and banking system and international war machine that the Clintons are part of, America finally seen through it and wanted a change.
Lets hope now Trump, stops the war provoking with Russia and China, and puts an end to Wall Street corruption.

For many around the world America is full of idiots and this election result just solidifies this view.

When looking back through history I expect this will be the start of the big decline for the USA and it deserves everything it gets.

Jetset and Lotusch.

We are so manipulated by the main stream media and have been for so long that folk are beginning to wake up and smell the roses. We seen it during the referendum and we have seen it today. Wikileaks are the enemy of the establishment, not for reasons of security but because they champion honesty and openness

I also heard Paddy Power paid out some big money on Trump bettors.
A colleague at work told me this morning it was in and around 4 million Euro's they had to pay out to punters.
Ouch! :D

I am not the least bit happy with any of it. Stock markets are in an uproar. My little retirement account took a big hit I cannot afford. Oh joy! A man that can't keep his casinos out of bankruptcies now in charge of a nation already in debt up to its ass. I hope to goodness someone can keep him muzzled. Did I vote for Hillary? Just another career politician, and we have enough of those already.

In protest I voted for Johnson.

I fear we are on a precipice.

I expect that Trump will loosen up the laws on online gambling in the USA as well as bring online gambling up to date with modern expectations

I actually expect the opposite.

He has many many close friends in the land based casinos. Those friends are the ones that fought to get online gambling banned because they were losing so much business. One of his best friends is Steve Wynne.

So I highly doubt anything will change

I can imagine Trump this morning....

Oh shit!! I actually won:eek: What the hell do I do now:confused:

It would have been what Farage had thought had he woke up and found UKIP had actually won a parliamentary majority against all the odds in our last election.

Im more surprised by your short post than Trump winning :)

Quite right. Republicans (faux or not) dominating the White House, House of Representatives and the Senate is a disaster for online gambling in the US. I foresee RAWA appearing on Trump's agenda very soon - don't forget he's basically in Sheldon Adelson's pocket, no matter what he claims. Expect iGaming to be outlawed in Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware within a year or two - and that would probably place question marks against Daily Fantasy Sports to boot.

Other than that the results for online gambling will most probably NOT be favourable, I am more worried about Trump's hate and fear mongering without offering any clear, solid solutions that can actually be implemented without causing (amongst others) even more uncertainty (trade policies) and disparities in wealth.

I concur with this German author's note:

Dear Americans,
Go ahead, vote for the guy with the loud voice who hates minorities, threatens to imprison his opponent, doesn’t give a fuck about democracy, and claims he alone can fix everything. What could possibly go wrong?

But you can only rail against progress for so long before your accused rightly of having a corrupt agenda. There are many examples of land based casino's around the world that are increasing their profits exponentially by branching out into the online world

There are many examples of the money men exploiting events such as today to manipulate the markets in order to make a killing. Just look at what happened after brexit. I bet your pension funds will be safe before long

Ok but thats different.

Trump will do whats in the best interest of his personal friends on this matter. He was a casino owner himself. All his close friends are. There is no way he allows anything to be approved unless it benefits them.

Yes but he also now has the power to dictate the terms of online gambling more in line with his buddies liking.

But the thing is, vegas doesnt want to branch out like that. They have zero interest. Even Wynne stated in an interview he will never get into it.

a nation already in debt up to its ass

in debt to whom? private ownership of federal reserve? perhaps wasted on totally unnecessary wars? sending money abroad we all know where and for what purpose? following the bill, where it starts and where it stops? better ask your local bank, or radical synagogue:D . a good idea to massive reducing the debt would be to retreat all of the 'democracy' bases set around the world, most numeric in baltic states. all the sings show the banking system will collapse again cause of that debt and this time will not only massively strike underdeveloped countries but will affect all banks around the world in a manner that... remember the greeks when stood in rows to withdraw a maximum 50eur per day with which to buy empty shelves. there are docs sensing and analyzing the upcoming fall. walk like maywheater with the cash and have gold at hand. poverty is transitory, starving to death is not.

Their national debt is 21 trillion dollars. Thats insane

Also, Obama created more debt in his 8 years than all other presidents COMBINED.

its time for a change. Hilary was more of the same. Her interests are in countries like Saudi not America.

America got very lucky not to have her. She is a disaster.

And why not give trump a chance? Its 4 years. And if he does anything too nuts he will get impeached. So its not like its end all. For once in history, they get to try something new and different instead of your typical lying, selfish, greedy politician

The trouble is that there are 51 states in America. He has already stated that he will not ignore the will of the people ( counts for nothing much,I know)
I predict an explosion of online casino's across America within the next few years

Love how he's announced setting up a specialist investigative team to finish the job the corrupt FBI chose not to, and bury Ms Bill Clinton right after winning the election.

It seems time waits for no man

Pretty interesting that he said some nice things about her in his victory speech this morning but she has so far refused to show up. Even dodging the pre-arranged knees up this morning where the crowd where told to go home and have a good nights sleep.
I really do not like the Clintons. I hope they do investigate the Clinton Foundation as well as her Emails

Her campaign was solely based on being the lesser of two evils, and she even had the partisan media in her pocket bending over backwards to smear Trump, special mention going to Clinton News Network.

This makes his victory all the more remarkable, even if he had the funds to campaign for another decade if he needed to.

So the career poltician got schooled by the big bad wolf, and this election just highlighted how divided America had become under the Facebook president.

He's going to make unpopular decisions, but then what leader hasn't. If that's what it takes to strengthen the nation it's a price worth paying.

Far better than trying to please all of the people all of the time, nice ideal but a utopian fantasy that would take 800 years, nevermind eight :eek2:

I hated his rhetoric but he is no one man band. He will have the heads of all departments of government, services and business keeping him in line.

CNN was so so so so bad it was really crazy. They did everything and I mean everything in their power to try and sway the public. And what I love most, is they lost.

I watched CNN last night during the election. And you should have seen the meltown by van jones. He almost broke down crying numerous times while pouting wont you please think of the children lol.

Then you had Wolf Blitzer in a complete stooper of denial and clueless as to what was going on. His staff were telling him "its just not enough, its basically over for Hilary" and he would respond with "we will see what happens". Like okay bud, its over.

The bias was so disgusting. I lost any respect for them as a news station.

I suspect that he will be in discussion right now with her or her people and this is why she has yet to be seen in public. My guess is that if there is any investigations then it will be a whitewash. Just as any claims against Trump will melt away from the political agenda.

She's already winging her way to Mexico as we speak, seeking exiled fugitive status.

On the plus side, she'll soon have a shiny wall protecting her

The BBC news have been playing a slowed down piano version of the star spangled with sad images throughout the morning as if it was a lament

Funny, guys

And yes, as for the BBC that doesn't surprise me. We all know they're the antichrist :(

Spot on!
Because the Clintons are as dirty as a 30 day old unwashed knicker.

And what do I read today across many newspapers?
Only the big negatives about Trumps election.
Only people who voted for Clinton are allowed to speak their minds.
A Dutch newspaper used a full page just to quote America's rich and famous and some Dutch wannabe TV "personalities", allowing them to share their disgust towards Trumps election.

So the media keeps on going, even now their beloved Hillary has been eliminated.

Again, not a Trump fan either and I would have voted for an independent candidate but I disgust and hate the established media with their foul and nasty way of bringing things in the news...Trying to make or break people at their will...

Well that has failed big time for the US elections, and for that I stand and applaude!

yes time to celebrate. Racism. Misogyny. Bullying. hatred. Lying.
The kkk and every white supremacist is celebrating. Their time is now. That is what they're saying.

Everything we want in a human being.

Last time the republicans controlled all branches of government was 1928.

Then came the Great Depression.

I don't think that one leader of an EU Country wanted Trump to win. That alone says a lot. It weakens the EU hand in the World and puts the UK in a greater position to be successful post brexit.

When the Labour party lost to the Conservatives a few elections ago they left a note on the finance desk stating "Sorry,no money left"

You can not always blame the new incumbent or site one historical instance as a sign of things to come

Some folk are too pessimistic

The BBC news have been playing a slowed down piano version of the star spangled with sad images throughout the morning as if it was a lament

Yep, the Blatantly Biased Corporation...

It's typical of the regressive left to be sore losers and resort to name-calling and throwing tantrums, something comically at odds with all-encompassing acceptance of all peoples and freedom of speech and expression

I'd have thought the majority of Americans have spoken, and to call them bigots and racists is sadly an indication of why these new-wave liberals fought so very hard to diminish the value of the First Amendment.

As a whole, you'd think they'd support a non-career politician without the associated baggage and who has no political affiliations or bad habits, and whose sole ambition is to make the U.S great again

Yes, calling ALL of them bigots and racists is an overstatement, but Trump does have the fervent support of the KK and white supremacists as well as right-wing populists in Europe.

It's certainly true that Populism has replaced true democratic ideals, it's the times we live in.

This movement will see outspokeness as honesty and will attract those predisposed towards extreme views, but also rope in people who see them as their mouthpiece. But really now, KKK would support anyone with such linear narratives, they're hardly multi-faceted or open to new ideas.

Plus what is their membership number, a thousand??

Does it really make that much of a difference which one was elected?

The lobbyist way of actually running the nation really serves the ones with money. The US system is pretty far from being truly democratic. It's business as usual.

The elections were just circus fun for the masses.
