Click2Pay - NIGHTMARE

Just had a nightmare situation happen with Click2Pay - they have WRONGLY taken nearly 5,000 (at least, could be more) from my credit card over the past couple of days.

I've emailed them three times over the past couple of days to ask what is going on, to which they haven't replied.

There was totally no reason to do it - my account with them is well in credit (it's now in some SERIOUS credit), and they are only supposed to allow deposits upto 1000 a week.

This is going to cause me no end of hassle, not only will I not be able to use my card with Christmas coming up but I'll also get some serious CC charges levied to my account for going well over my limit.

Freaking Wangers!

Hi Dirk:

I wouldn't fool around with this Dirk. If you haven't already I'd be on the phone with your credit card company right now advising them of what's taken place. Additionally, I'd be filing a Pitch a Bitch tonight.

This is the type of thing that you're going to want to go after with a shotgun approach. It may very well turn out to be a mistake but you've got to cover all the bases as though this is some type of fraud. Sorry this has happened to you. Have a good one.

This is why god invented charge backs. I would not wait long.

Sorry this is happening to you and thank you for the heads up.

Stanford.

The first day Click2Pay started up I took up a promo where you had to deposit 100 with a casino. No problem in the casino, but in the Click2Pay account it appeared as 10,000 taken from my credit card! The same happened to one or two others. As far as I could tell the money was never actually taken from the card & one or two slightly incoherent phone calls to their German support staff sorted it out... but I certainly wasn't in a hurry to use them again!

** Personally, I will stick with Neteller too, barring the occasional hiccup (as we all experienced some time or the other) they have been pretty good! **

I opened an account when they first came on board, and I never could get my password to work. Talked with Support for three days. They couldn't do it. I just gave up. Not worth the aggrevation. :(

NETeller is pretty good as far as I am concerned, why would anyone want to use Click2pay, unless you want those casino bonuses with Click2pay deposits.

How can they mixed 100 credit with 100,000 credit? Jeez ............
Judging from other people's experience here, I will steer well clear of them! :)

You can only have one Neteller account and only in one currency. If you deposit or withdraw in another currency, you lose quite a lot on the exchange rate. I have a Neteller account in US$ and a Click2Pay account in UK. I admit I opened my Click2Pay account because of the tempting bonuses, since I can use credit cards to deposit at casinos. Click2Pay is useful because the transactions are not rejected, and sometimes the deposit limits for credit cards are ridiculously low. On the negative side, you can only fund Click2Pay via a credit card from the UK and there is a 3% charge after the first month, so I am only using money that's already there. I have never had any nightmare stories, but the process of certifying my account was a real pain.

Thanks for the advice guys - I want to speak with them to find out what is going before resulting to a charge back (it'll be well after Christmas before I can get the money back via this method anyway).

They emailed me this morning to give them a time for them to call me but they haven't bothered so far.

I've sent them another two emails asking them to call me, which they haven't at this point.

I don't believe this :sniper:

We apologize for the error. Errorously your credit card was charged although
funds were available.

Your current account balance is 5.571,02 GBP. But due to the error, 4.997,50
GBP were recently funded. These funds are still pending and thus not available
for spending or withdrawal
. We release these pending funds automatically after
8 days. After that the funds are avaible for spending or withdrawal.

Again we apologize for the inconvenience.

So they wrongly take nearly 5,000 from my credit card, and THEN tell me I can't withdraw it - f*ing unbelievable :axeman2:

BTW - they have charged me 3% of these fees and haven't even mentioned reimbursing these as yet.

New slogan for them "you use us, you must be pissed"

I find it incredible that any company can even consider behaving in this manner - either the management are clowns, or for some reason (guess what?) they need to hang on to your money. After this thread, I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole!

Keep in mind that this company is still a little green in the horns. They are definitely well funded - but they are also clearly having to work out some bugs.

I would, however, not only demand that they release your funds immediately but compensate for the charges incurred with this transaction.

If they do not agree to this, let me know - I may be able to ring some bells somewhere.

Cheers - already demanded this as soon as I received their email, plus a free withdrawal, plus the 20 my credit card company charges me for going above my limit.

In typical fashion they have yet to respond.

If it's still pending then presumably the CC hasn't released the funds. Can't you tell them it's an incorrect charge so they simply cancel it and return you to square one?

Possibly - but its been taken from my account some days ago now (14th and 15th), so I doubt it would be that simple. Would probably have to be a charge back of some sort which I really can't be bothered with.

As long as they reimburse me ALL my fees I can live without it for a month or so.

I don't understand this statement at all Dirk. You may be able to live with such a situation for a "month or so". But allowing this incompetent behavior to go un-checked is quite simply asking for something of an even more serious nature to befall the next player and that's absolutely unacceptable. Have a good one.

I once had a double-billing issue with Harrods. The identical transaction got the Halifax fraud-squad interested and they put the transaction on hold until I approved it (which I didn't). The CC company should at least be asked if they can cancel the 5K transaction or if it's too late. Then, C2P won't have anything to refund.

C2P have finally agreed to pay all costs.

Cipher - although I can see were you are coming from I really don't see what I can do that would stop this from happening in the future. C2P say they had a technical error that meant funds were being taken from my credit card rather than the funds in my account - now how can anything I do stop that from happening again in the future?

Hi Dirk:

At this point there's only one thing that you and I or anyone else for that matter can and should do and that is from this point forward I will not play at any casino that utilizes the services (or lack there of) of C2P again.

In addition I will see it to it that every casino that utilizes the services (or lack there of) of C2P is infinitely aware of that fact. The manner in which these clowns have chosen to handle your situation as well as others indicates to me nothing short of a blatant disregard for their customers. Have a good one.
