I received a promo in the mail from Cleopatra's Palace (a Realtime Gaming platform) which gave me "$50 in Free No Deposit Comps". So I went to the site and put in the bonus code and played. I ended up winning $750 after playing for awhile. I went to the withdrawal page and it said I had $750 withdrawal able so I put in the request. Here is the response I received from the credit manager:

"Dear Dennis,

Your cash out has been denied, as you have won money on a free promotional comp for $50. As part of our terms and conditions, for all non deposit winnings, you can only cash out half the amount of the non deposit bonus you took on the way in. In this case $25. The minimum amount you can withdraw on our site is $50, therefore this cash out has been denied.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />

Now, in the promo it did not say anything about the winnings not being withdrawable or that the "free no deposit comp" was basically play money because no matter what you do none of it is withdrawable as you can see from the email I received from the credit manager, "you can only cash out half the amount of the non deposit bonus you took on the way in. In this case $25. The minimum amount you can withdraw on our site is $50, therefore this cash out has been denied". I believe this practice is deceitful because they are giving you money to play with but, oh by the way, it is not real money just play money. They do not tell you in the promo that it is play for fun money and what is the point because if I wanted to play with "play for fun" money I would just go to the play for fun option when I sign. What do you think of their practice. Is there anything you can do to get them to pay up?

FWIW we had posted a Casinomeister Warning about these guys a while back: Cleopatra's Palace: flaky payouts, AWOL service.

Like it says in the Warning:
Warning: Cleopatra's Palace Casino is messing about with player winnings and withdrawals. Players are either being locked out, suffering confiscations or withdrawals and are being slow-paid to the point of not being paid at all. The casino is not responding to complaints. Avoid this casino.

Check the forums, you'll see there are a number of threads related to this:

Were you lucky in the end to get some money? I have also "won" $650 and now I have to find out that they are probably not going to pay. This is obviously quite annoying. If someone has tips how its best to proceed I would be grateful. Would be nice money ;).

Yet another crap heap of a place. I really wish that I would have found this site (casinomeister) sooner in life. I have a nice cashout waiting because after months of playing there I finally hit some spins. They had not paid me for a few months and my emails were going unanswered. Finally after calling and getting an answering machine or busy signal I sent a bunch of emails off all at once. Later that night my account was locked. I finally got an email reply saying that my account was delayed for months while they investigated my account. So I can't log in and can only get them by email. They suck so bad.

I understand why Greasemonkey might have found a bad casino and gotten screwed. Also the OP is a fairly new member here.

I do not understand how you, Grubby23, were stupid enough to play that casino. You have been a member here since April of 2005. You should have known better. It's a waste to have a membership here if you are not going to benefit from information here.

I wish you all good luck getting your money. And hope you have learned a lesson about bad casinos.
