Casumo issues

Hi everyone!

I’m unsure whether this is the right place to post but here goes.

I joined casumo in the middle of December on a whim. As I’m going through a mortgage application I didn’t want any gambling transactions on my statement, so i spoke with my sister who said if I sent her the money she would be happy for me to use her card if it allowed it.

So I deposited, won a small amount so withdrew and it went back into my sisters bank via bank transfer (didn’t allow another option) did this on 2 occasions and no issues so I assumed it was fine.

On Friday I deposited £50 and won £500 which i requested to withdraw. It went to the pending status and as it didn’t change I queried it. I was advised that I needed to send in some documents which was no problem, i explained I’d used my sisters bank account details with permission and the reason why. The representative I spoke to said that in future I would need to ensure I used my own bank (fair enough) but he had spoken to another team who said that as long as I provided additional documentation it shouldn’t be a problem on this occasion.

As requested I sent over proof of my ID, proof of address, pictures of the front/back of my sisters card and a PDF bank statement for my sisters bank. They then requested her ID so I sent this over.

Later that evening I received an email saying everything was successfully verified and I could use my account as normal. I noticed the withdrawal is still showing pending and I’ve had no further update, apart from the representatives saying it will be processed.

I accept this is my error and not theirs. I was going to use my own bank card/joint acc but my wife was unhappy saying it could affect our application.. I’m just concerned that they may not process this withdrawal at all now.
I’m not very “Savvy” with online casinos so was wondering if anyone could offer some advice? It would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Give them a chance to pay it. If it was triggered for manual release then maybe it won’t happen until Monday given it’s the weekend?

Also, always use your own account to deposit. Always.

Finally, wait until your loan is approved if you think gambling transactions on your account may influence their decision.

Common sense is king.

This advice is not for the current situation but for the future...

Regardless of X, Y or Z NEVER use anyone else details for online casinos, ALWAYS use your own, no matter what.

Open a separate bank account just for transactions you don't want appearing on your main account statement, use an e-wallet such as Paypal or Skrill or use prepayment vouchers (although with the voucher method if you win you will still need to withdraw to a bank account) Some of these attracts small fees but its well worth it for peace of mind and keeping that main bank account 'clean'

I feel although you seem to have done no wrong on this occasion, you were very lucky, some casinos (not particularly this one but some) will use any excuse not to pay, this would have been like taking candy from a baby had you played elsewhere possibly.

Imagine an even luckier day where you withdraw a couple of grand and have it voided and written off just because you used someone elses account.......

Reasonably confident you'll be ok this time with what you said in your opening post, just take it as a 'phew!' moment when they do pay and get that extra bank acct or e-wallet.

Lloyds or Halifax both have fee-less basic accounts which come with a debit card which you can open online in minutes.

Hey!

Thanks for tagging us justdoit!

To clarify for you further steve68; From your message, it would appear that you've been depositing with a 3rd party deposit method, which is against our Terms&Condtions, so please refrain from doing so going forward. I believe our awesome customer supporters would have informed you of this as well.
If your documents have all been approved, then I'm sure that the withdrawal will be processed for you within a reasonable time frame. However, if you have any further issues, then please feel free to send us a Direct message here on Casinomeister, or reach us on our live chat or at hey@casumo.com, and we'll be more than happy to help!

Banks aren't that daft though - if they see a mass of Paypal/Skrills some (some more than others) will want to know what they are to assess outgoings - in fact, when we did a provisional Mortgage application 7 years ago they were well aware of their use for gambling transactions and the underwriter specifically asked: are these to gambling bodies etc.

if u have lots of in and out from bank they dont ask, is simple ebay spending,

You won't see any transactions on your bank statement if you pay to play at an online casino from your PayPal balance. But the transactions will appear on your bank statement if you do not have any money in your PayPal and pay to play from your bank account via PayPal.

So for one who doesn't want their bank to know about gambling, transferring some money to Paypal and then playing with that money is best.

To be fair I don’t think they will process it anyway. Below is what the chat team told me today:
Unfortunately, there has been a slight hold-up during the processing of your withdrawal during a random standard security withdrawal review. These are done randomly across the site to ensure the safety and security of all transactions. As soon as it is possible to release the funds to you, you will be notified via email as I see you are signed up for our withdrawal notification service. We appreciate your patience throughout the process and thank you for understanding.
I am really sorry for the delay with the verification, I would really love to speed it up for you, however, I am not able to at the moment🙏 As soon as the review has been conducted and finished, you will be notified via email.

Bit confused as they told me yesterday via email everything had been successfully verified. As I read from the above, that tells me it isn’t. So yeah not holding my breath, lesson definitely learnt.
