Bonus Complaint 'Cassava' Group Stole My £2,000 Winnings

In the past, not only has this information been lacking, the casinos themselves have LIED when asked directly whether a casino is part of the main 888.com family.

Believe me I have made it crystal clear to Rachel that we need full and truthful disclosure of which casinos are under Cassava's control, which Cassava licencees are backed by other group operator(s), and which are loose cannons supposedly beyond the reach of Cassava or any other responsible party. She has said she's working on it and I'm happy to give her the benefit of the doubt and the time she needs to come up with this stuff.

That said I think most would agree that this level of disclosure is pretty much a "mission critical" item for any Accreditation considerations. I don't presume to speak for Bryan here because Accred status is and always has been solely his decision.

What I am saying though is that enough tainted water has passed under the bridge over the years insofar as Cassava casino management is concerned that I for one would be hard pressed to believe that much has changed if they now, still, find themselves unable to disclose this basic information, sans fibery. If they still feel that it's in their best interests to withhold this information then I reckon it's in the community's best interests to ask, in most pointed possible way, why that might be.

888.com Casino review - rogue casino warning
Instead of warning new registrants about specific terms, why dont every online casino dont just run search through their database for that same name and see if registrant is breaking the "One account accross" rule or not.

I dont think that kind of search would take long considering the exact name and if there are multiple names then compare other things like address. If someone is providing different addresses then they can call upon this rule.

If players are being honest, this should be a VERY SIMPLE check indeed, and would prevent any "accidents". It would take a degree of intent in order to bypass this checking and open an "illegal" second account.
However, this would strip casinos of ONE way to make extra profit, which is to invoke this rule only when a player WINS, and not when they LOSE. This has CLEARLY happened with the OP, where they were able to break this rule and lose, but were caught only when they WON. They have ONLY received an offer for their deposit back where they WON, but have NOT been offered their deposit back where they lost, but could not have won in any case.

This has happened RECENTLY, not "in years past". This is NOT "water under the bridge", but dirty water that seems to still be flowing, even if only through the endless stream of white labels that Cassava has been churning out.

Accreditation needs to be made CLEAR that it ONLY applies to the two main casinos, and NOT Cassava in general, just as is the case for ANY software brand. The ONLY difference is that casinos don't usually promote the competition to their own players, which is one thing that DOES happen with Cassava, and which would mislead players into thinking that ALL Cassava casinos are covered by the accreditation.

Accreditation rules actually mean the white labels will NEVER qualify, unless they become fully independent and well run casinos, and pass accreditation in their own right.

Players certainly don't think that Club World being accredited means that ALL RTG casinos are covered by this accreditation, so should NOT allow themselves to be confused into thinking that ALL Cassava casinos are covered by THIS accreditation just because they all cross-market each other.

orher option

Other option would be to lock players account automaticly when he makes his second account at some cassava white label. The biggest problem in my opinion is that currently the situation is that winnings are voided, but when player loses his losses are not refunded.

Was this ever resolved?

I too have been victim of this miss-selling. For a while I was getting personalised invites to Reef-Club from 888.com offering a 200% bonus. What makes it worse is that these offers were for ONE DAY ONLY thus creating a snese of immediacy, a common trick used by high pressure sales companies.

I think this is potentially a major scandal as the sums could run into hundreds of thousands of pounds.

This is actually a worse deal than Virtual. It seems if you do this offer you have NO CHANCE of ever getting paid.

I hope the player has got his money or this will be one of the worst scandals ever seen IMO.

Here in the UK, this high pressure trick was BANNED, and so if any UK player fell victim to it, they have redress in the courts, and WILL get help from Tranding Standards. Since Gibraltar are a UK protectorate, they are by no means out of reach of the law, at least for a UK player. EU players are less protected, since Gibraltar never became a "proper" member, and does not HAVE to implement EU directives.

888 have always used "dodgy sales practice" in it's quest for players, which explains why it is so successful, yet has generated so many complaints. The deliberate disguising of associations between sister casinos is also another "dirty sales trick", usually used by businesses that have become "household names" for all the WRONG reasons, and will either change the name of the company, or split into subsidiary companies with brand new names to fool customers who hated the former, and who would "never shop there again" - into "shopping there again".

I think that players and should give/toss the new casinos in general , a long

cooling period ,before becoming "a depositor real player " . No use in giving a trust to
fairly new born casinos , as the trust that is given to establishments that
earned it over the years . Simple as that . Every now and than we see issues
that players put on furums which are usually involve non trusted groups, new casinos ,etc . I say to stop giving credit to casinos that abuse players . there are enough first and second class casinos to choose from , no need to run for massive bonuses from untrusted places .

888.com is one of the oldest operations online. Since 1996 AFAIK and one of the most well known.

1997-8 is a more accurate date, prior to that there was no online gaming scene to be part of. They were one of the first though, that part is true enough.

Well Eurocity let me finish the wagering, and I managed to finish with a balance which they paid me! :)

Unfortunately we haven't heard anything from Spinwin. That is the one where I had finished all of their wagering and was just waiting to be paid out, when they decided they didn't want to pay me for no reason.

Sorry to be a thickie but which "this" are you referring to? The £2000? The SpinWin thing? Something else?

Not sure, please specify.

This....

and the fact that 888 is even still on the baptism by fire list. Am I wrong in thinking that there is nothing left but ashes? I am confused, as usual, over the whole white label issue. And the fact that 888 actually spams when you log out to go to another casino.

Am I anywhere near to understanding? :o

Well I haven't heard anything regarding my stolen winnings at SpinWin, so I guess I just have to write that off..

So will they be 'rogue' now?

Please see the Casinomeister Warning -- SpinWin Casino: no pay, CS on auto-responder -- which means they are a candidate for the Rogue Pit.

They've since indicated that they want to clean things up and make a fresh start but I don't know the latest on that. Bryan was scheduled to talk to them a week or so ago and ... not sure what happened after that. Not much by the sound of it.

I think it will take some years for 888.com and the other 888 Holdings owned casinos to clean up. I just can`t see any of them being listed in the accredited list now.

Im on the same boat with rainmaker, i think even baptism by fire for 888 is just wrong when white labels can do whatever they want.

this is ridiculous. whenever you close a cassava casino it invites you to download another cassava casino, from which you can of course never withdraw any winnings.

As long as you dont take any bonus you will be fine... there's nothing wrong in playing several casinos from the same owners, I play at a lot of WHG properties.

At Cassava casinos you cant just take bonus on all of them, only one.

90% of payment/withdraws problems are always regarding bonuses :( Just stop taking them people... I dont EVER take any bonus.

Yes, I agree.

And it is a bit ironic that a rep, representing several Cassava casinos joined this forum (couple of months ago). but he "went missing" right after he joined. He has not answered PM from members here, and has not given any replies in threads.

Cassava is huge and it sounds like some people with some sway within the organisation are trying to do the 'right thing' for whatever reasons. But without a clearly dictated policy from the software provider that gets all franchises on the same policy page there are too many opportunities for malfeasance to arise.

A little bit of discord would get them good publicity but it is easy to see that so-called white labels are a loose cannon and need to be compartmentalized and possibly relabeled if Cassava is to succeed.

I applaud their attempt though, however half-hearted.

The only thing huge about 888 is the Spam. Market Cap down to £117m now from over £1BN a few years back.

Yeah, you are correct of course. And for those who want to view it visually

This topic is about me. I've contacted them as well but I never heard anything again from them. My advice is to stay away as far as possible from this casino group!

I agree with the spam from 888. In all the years of gambling online they are the worst spammers and nowadays I wouldnt trust them in the slightest.

They are the worst culprits for FB gambling spam with the "1 free spin a day promo" (which they dont bother to mention until later you have to then deposit and wager your free spin win and deposit before cashing out).

I even keep getting daily junk mail off them. Everyday for the past 2 weeks I have clicked "unsubscribe" but they keep sending the junk

As their market cap declined, so did their ethics. Spam is least of it...

IMO the entire 888 group is rogue.. and they have been listed on my site as Blacklisted for over three years.

Of course, this is Bryan's site and he makes the decisions here about who resides on his Rogue List.

nervous

After reading this I am nervous about getting my money. I had an account at 888.com, I havent playing there for a long time. Don´t even know if I used their welcome bonus..

O well, I got a email from Reef Club Casino wich I didnt had an account at. But I allready had an username and all my bankdetails where there the first time i signed in.
I first used their welcome bonus, then a couple of days later I deposit money to get 88 free spins.

After wagering the money from the spins i could cashout over 4000 dollars.

To get these free spins I just deposit 10 dollars.

So.. Should I be nervous?!

Sorry for my english , and sorry if im posting this wrong?

AFAIK as long you haven't claimed a signup bonus within the group previously you should be cool. Rachel is the rep here who can help you if needed.

Your English is excellent, better than many native speakers in fact

Ok Thanks.

It shouldnt be a problem. I dont think I used 888.com welcome bonus at the casino before so.. But eventhough, this is my biggest win ever, so I cant really calm down :eek2:

At least this is NOT one of the many white labels, so you SHOULD get paid if you have been honest.

You were clearly VERY lucky off those free spins in order to work it up to 4K. best withdraw once you confirm (in writing) from their CS that you are allowed to do so.

They may ask for the usual documents, and once verified, your payment should be forwarded to you. By the time the rep comes back, you will have your money, and no problem.

Try to avoid the white labels, and keep an eye out for spam for other Cassava white labels that seems to start all of a sudden after giving your details to 888.com. The ONLY cross marketing you SHOULD receive is for Reef Club or 888.com, and since you have accounts at both, you would not be eligible (and they shouldn't be sending it under these circumstances, but they seem to).

ONE account at 888.com and ONE at Reef Club is OK. The problem starts because the white labels only allow ONE account across ALL of them, but they are VERY secretive about being connected to each other, which is how they entrap players into breaking this rule.
