Your Input Please Casinomeister Wish List - What Do You Want From CM?

Actually, I have been on the fence concerning chat. There is some software that I can load up that controls chat rooms to certain levels of memberships, private groups etc. The problem is proper moderation, and I wouldn't want to have crucial information being posted there without it appearing in the main fora.

Bryan, my general opinion is: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" :p

Surely, you can always try to improve something but it might have then some negative effect on a different part.

Few suggestions for slight improvement (some maybe already posted):

- Minion Section - make it more automated, e.g. easy duplication of posts with current date being entered automatically, still changeable though if needed
- Billboard of fastest paying casinos (data from the last 6 months, separate for E-wallets and CC's) on the front page and as choice in the tab menu
- Latest promotions tab - I know there is a section but rarely people scroll down to look through it
- Allow Experienced Members and above and/or Meister Minions group members to temporarily block new members from posting to reduce the spammers, until one of the admins gets to see to it and makes the decision whether permanent ban or removing it. Many times when you guys are soundly asleep in Europe you have some spammers, utmost cases new members, filling up the whole board. We do always report it but understandably it can take hours for one of the admins to see those reports. To take that a step further, you could then set-up something that also temporarily removes all posts from that member from that day and "voila" no spam visible :)
- Kudos system for casinos we like - introduce a "like" button on the review page. Readers can then see that XXX forum members like that particular casino, giving them a general idea how well received it is in this forum. Of course, removing the like should be possible too as one can change his/her mind after something unpleasant happening to them at the casino they "liked" previously.

Enough thinking for one day/post :D

For me, it`s hard to comprehend how the scores in the accredited section are calculated ... I cannot really understand why the one casino scores 8.1 and the other 8.7 if I only look at the information given in the reviews. Plus there are a lot of casinos accredited without a real review. So I would like to see more reviews which are more transparent regarding the scores.

That's a good one. If for example, a rep submitted it, it wont show in the main forum page until someone posts or bumps it. I've missed a few from this.

Just do what MG do, just re-skin the site and call it innovation

CM isn't flashy but has a great community at its core which I've learned to appreciate over the last few years. I agree that a quick link to active reps would be an excellent addition as 75% of posts can be resolved this way.

Up- to -date playing trends of members would make for excellent viewing, to chart others' habits and preferences. Not a fan of the segregation-ey chat option and it's best left for divisive media like FB and the like. The way I see it, if you wanna chat, use the medium of posting, as is.

Or even better, get yourself over to the annual Meistermeets and the like. You can talk to actual people!

- Separate payout times for E-wallets and CC's/bank tranfers -putting those together doesn't give a real average payout time. E-wallets might be only minutes but CC's/bank transfers are always 24hrs+
- Latest promotions tab - I know there is a section but rarely people scroll down to look through it

Of course the soon i hit that submit button i see something missing.

And please please NO CHAT/PRIVATE ROOMS nonsense. Those who want to chat privately can do it via the PM's or become friends on FB/Whatsapp & what not

Personally I would strongly advise against that mainly due to the second point you make.

Firstly you would need mods in it 24/7, but that isn't a problem most the time as I imagine theres usually someone online, and if you only open it to members with xxx posts then chances are there won't be that many problems in there anyway.
However, and I have tried it on my forum, and this happened, you get stuff that would usually be posted on the threads, posted in chat, making the forum more quiet. The members who can't take part in chat get the hump because they feel left out, non members don't join as they look at the forum and think its quiet. Also, not sure if you have tapatalk on here but you can't access chat through it, and the ones I tried didn't work properly through the mobile skins either.
Apart from that I don't really think theres much to change, only thing I ever found annoying was not being able to sort a list of accredited casino's into countries, but I might have done something wrong or missed how to do it, but was looking for a couple of new ones to try and the first 4 or 5 I tried didn't accept UK players.

Actually, further to my earlier idea instead of complexity in having to pick-up the posts, a 'rep search' box that's a permanent fixture up the top where the 'forum' link is on the left of the red bar. All you'd need is a quick script of the accredited casinos and corresponding rep. Poster could type say 'rizk or Rizk' for example and Capn. Rizk's PM link would come up. Or 'crapmeister' to get me...:D:D

An additional thought I've just had....

Not OTT to avoid email bombardment but is there any way CM can send an automatic 'PM Reminder' where reps have been messaged and not responded or maybe not even been online (to CM) at all?

'You have unread private messages at Casinomeister' could maybe auto send to the reps registered email addy after 3-5 days of the original PM.

Lets face it I'm sure we've all been checking our e-mails, spotted the alert and got distracted and forgot at some point  - More so with how busy these casino guys are.

actually one more thing, how do you turn off getting a pm every time someone quotes you, I always get 2 emails, one saying I have a PM and one saying someone has replied to the thread, is it possible?

Yes, it is. Go into your account settings on the menu top right.
Scroll down the left, see this: DBTech - vBSuper PM's -- Private Message: Post Quote Settings and check 'no'.

Can be changed in your profile settings.

EDIT: already perfectly explained by Dunover :D

So I guess what you are suggesting is that I have a nag screen pop up any time someone mentions the states. Perhaps that would be a good idea. :p

I open my email and get a request for input.

I give input pointing out glaring discrepancies between accreditation terms and actual accredited list.

I get mocked.

Terrific.

thanks guys for the help in switching the pm's off

just been looking at the review pages, couple of things that could possibly be added - only because of the number of threads and complaints about these

A column like the payout times, but for time it takes for KYC to be completed, and when its requested ie, first WD, when you get to a certain amount, when you change payment method etc. and if theres any negatives, like having to send scans by email rather than secure upload.

Maybe a review for customer service, or marks out of 10, email response times, that is actually a big thing for me and makes a massive difference to if I play somewhere. It should be based on actual CS like live chat, phone support etc, rather than the rep on here as if you have to contact a rep then presumably CS have failed, and that stops personal attacks too.

Either a list of other casino's linked to them or at least a link to their gaming license which could possibly stop as many complaints about SE players ending up losing winnings when they play somewhere else.

Maybe something like a hot / cold button on the reviews like what hukd use, so that people can see what other members think and allow anyone to vote, even new members.

Hope that helps :)

No one is mocking anybody. I gave you an explanation on what is going on. If there are discrepancies on the accred pages, I try to take care of these. I don't know what you are getting at when you say that I'm benefiting as an affiliate when I am not. You are an experienced player - you are fully aware that playing in the US is an extremely difficult situation. Don't blame me for this - and please respect my decision to go forward advertising US casinos that are licensed in the US.

If you want to start another thread about why playing in the US sucks, then please do so. This thread is about moving forward with Casinomeister, not how to turn the clock back.

I'd love to see a turbo-powered Search. Something powerful, wide-ranging, where you could tailor searches fairly extensively:
  • option(s) to search forums only, everything BUT the forums, News only, site-wide, etc.
  • restrict search to certain forums on an include/exclude basis.
  • search for anything, in other words WITHOUT the three-letter restriction the forums have.
  • ability to use wild-cards in the search, or better yet
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.
    .
  • You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.
would be brilliant, and crazy useful IMO.
  • option to extend the search to include or only search tags.

If necessary and/or more convenient I don't think it would be much of a hardship to divide the turbo-search on a site VS forums basis.

I was a bit surprised that this idea was not either backed or dismissed as the amount of posts I read along the lines of 'I PM'ed their rep but no response.....'

Thoughts please guys?

If you're thinking the PM reminder would go to the rep then I'd say +1 to that! I'll often hear "missed it" or whatever from a rep (when I finally do chase them down) and that isn't particularly helpful.

In fact I'd go so far as to say that after a few PM reminders -- I'm thinking over a period of time not all at once -- OR failure to log on within a reasonable period then the rep's group automatically flips from "Rep" to "Rep (AWOL)" or somesuch. Rather the same way a banned person's status will automatically revert to their previous status once the ban expires.

Once the rep logs on and/or responds to the outstanding PMs then their "status timer" resets to zero, or whatever.

In other words we'd be automatically enforcing the "rep participation" guidelines of their Accred status.

I'm pretty sure you cant do it with vbulletin as I have seen it requested a few times on the mods forum for vb and never seen anyone reply saying its possible, or make a mod for it :(

I'm pretty sure you cant do it with vbulletin ....

I think Bryan's idea is that we're doing some "blue sky" thinking here, throwing ideas out just because they might be good. Since we've got some dedicated developers working for us now it might be feasible to do things that are not included in the default vB package.

Hopefully :) I wasn't saying it was impossible, and will be happy to be proven wrong, just usually if a mod is requested a few times on one of the dedicated forums then it is likely someone would make it, the fact it hadnt been made when I was looking for it suggests it might not be possible to do, although it was around this time last year I looked and might have changed since then

Maybe so but I remember back in the days when WOL had vB I would happily go in and hack some stuff together using the gi-normous amount of data to be found in the database.

Maybe the freedom to do such has changed over the years, but maybe not. And if these things could be done outside the vB codebase -- smart stuff using just database queries for instance -- then the maintenance issues would be (at least) simplified.

The word I hear from the new development team is that we should throw whatever ideas we like at them, they'll determine feasibility, etc, once they've short-listed the idea pool.

Well, I'm not a player but here are some ideas :D

1. New game reviews - I think it can be also useful for players to discuss new game launches - plenty of interesting areas that can be looked into like level of variance/volatility, payouts, bonus round features, etc. and similar games as players tend to prefer games that work similarily so it could be helpful to know which games this new game is similar too and in what way.

2. Wallets reviews - also here I'm sure players can give many insights from personal experience which can be very useful to other players in similar circumstances/countries.

3. Software reviews - looking at overall quality, regulation and audit of each software provider and their games and their most popular games - again players will have plenty of interesting and important insights for sure.

So, for all of the above there would be a CM review (and ranking) integrated with player reviews (and ranking) and comments.

Cheers CM

Sorry not read the whole thread as getting late and I feel sick,

What I find that will be good is when you receive a message about a post and click it it brings you to page one, Now there could of been a lot of replys by this time and hard to find, Maybe add the link to take you straight to that reply,

Other than that if its not broke and all that, You do not want to start messing around and nothing works
