Can I bitch for a minute about our cable company?

I get our cable bill today and it is higher than normal....so I look on the back and we got charged for 3 pay-per-view movies.....2 were Lucky you and the other one was The Assassination of Jessie James.

For the first few weeks of February pay-per-view wasn't working, when you would order the movie it would say something like "error, please forgive the inconvenience" (that was when we ordered the first 2 movies back to back, within minutes of each other)

Fast forward to the end of the month, we tried it again to watch Lucky You, (not that good of a movie by the way, lol) and it worked...woohoo, finally.

The man on the phone just told me we are being charged for 2 movies (one of which we didn't get to see because of their problem) he tried to give me the run around so I asked to talk to his supervisor, I am on hold as we speak....MIND YOU THIS IS OVER $3.99!!!!!! It's not the money I'm upset about, it's the fact that they weren't working and are trying to charge us for THEIR mistake.

It's funny how a supervisor isn't around, I have been on hold for like 5 minutes, maybe more..... I'll keep ya posted...hahaha

I never got connected to the supervisor, so I called back, and got connected almost immediately, the charge will be credited.

Boy that was difficult

I think the first guy didn't want to get in trouble or something, who knows.

I worked at the cable company for 3 years in Customer Service, trust me, there is always a supervisor, sometimes 2 on the floor. Also, the person on the phone was an Ahole because I use to refund movies all the time when there were problems.

They keep all letters in the employee files from customers, good or bad...write one and he wont do it again , plus in your letter ask for a free movie for the inconvenience

i hate my cable company and so does my checkbook (charter cable) bad ,bad, bad and the bill keeps going up every month and i dont rent movies, im too cheap , ill wait till they come on the free movie channels

My only problem was they new their system was messed up and people couldn't see movies, BUT still wanted to charge me

We have Charter too.

We watch the free movies sometimes, but there's never anything good. Renting a movie on tv is cheaper than our local movie store.

And now I'd like to add my own bitch and grip about my cable company, Mediacom. $60.00 for basic cable. They are so cheap they didn't even provide a box, it's just wired into the house and then the TV. They move channels all the time with no warning and if they add anything it's another home shopping channel. They have no competition other than Dish in this area because I'm in the boonies, so they can do whatever they want and they know it. After promising for five years, cable internet is finally available but I'm very hesitate to switch because the work I do from home requires a stable connection and I'm afraid it would just be a headache.
I like living in the boonies but the cable and telephone choices suck and they can charge as they want.

i know how that goes, i have what they call the bundle package, tele, cable, internet and it just seems to rise every month the bill and my anger lol. they never tell you about the hidden charges and when you have a problem and call them you end up speaking to someone in india, mexico and all the other call centers they have around the world. what ever happened to local call centers?

BB we must be neighbors!! Mediacom sux big time but it is better than nothing.........and we get lots of chances to realize that with all the system outtages lasting for days!

And WTF happened recently to A&E??????? Did they move it from channnel 37?

Wouldn't that be funny if we are. I'm in NC, what state are you in?
Do you have the package deal or just tv? A&E is on Channel 23 here...for now. Who knows next week?

That's nuts....I pay $60 for Digital + HD with Comcast (PA)...Hell, they even threw in a HD DVR box for free.

Most of the time, I live in the state of disarray..............occasionally, the state of disrepair........and always in the state of confusion.
