Oh not sure, I am actually looking at moving and working in the Niagara Falls area.

I'm not in a position to make any plans. And to be honest, an overnighter to Niagara is a longer trip and more expensive than I care to spend this summer.

I have a pre-surgical screening July 5th, and some hopes I might get in before summer is done, but I will require some recovery time.

A day trip to Toronto/Orilla/Ottawa might be doable mid July, and I would be enthusiastic for planning something in the early fall, especially Montreal. I do love Montreal, even if Montreal Casino is not my very favourite.

Rama is 100% the easiest and cheapest venue for me to meet people for an afternoon. Minimal walking to get there via a casino operator, but Mondays and Wednesdays are the days bus leaves from here.

Dionysus, you stay home with the dogs, your mom can come meet me, lol.

@the Shamus would be a great guy to hook up with. I enjoy his videos so much, and even I did not make it myself, I'd feel like I was there with you.

I might come to a get together at Fallsview Casino for a few hours as I don't have lots of money to burn so to speak. There are buses that can take me right to the casino that I can catch at Square One in Mississauga. Staying overnight would be out of the question in that regard. If I were to come, I would be mainly gambling as social skills and me... Don't get along well. It is tough for me everyday even when I do stream slots online a few times a month.

It wouldn't be until August. I have work I need to finish up here. I picked an over nighter because the night life at the falls in the summer is AMAZING! The energy is mind blowing! @Jasminebed. We can get rooms that 2-3 people can share, and you wouldn't have to pay for that. Plus I can buy you supper and a few drinks. Bring some booze with you too. All you would have to pay for his your way there and any gambling money. I will need a nap at some point, so all would be good
@slotmaster. If you are looking for a job at a casino, there is a casino where I live that is hiring, and the rent is cheap here, just not a lot going on. Plus there is another one 25 minutes away. Please meet up with us though.

One of them said ‘On a Monday?’, the other actually said they’d need to check their diary (wtf - what is that?)

Then I felt sad and old because I remember at Uni at 7pm saying ‘nah, staying in’. 8pm: third beer. No planning, no checking if it’s ok: just doing.

back in the day, I was a kid and diidnt have adult reponsibilities I was also a lot more selfish and self-absorbed I'd hop in the car and ef for for 2 days, 2 weeks, heck 2 months

But I agree about making plans and then making excuses - if you agree and commit, then make the necessary arrangements you were originally able to make to go (of course, that still doesnt mean life doesnt step in, then, you have the decency to write or phone and cancel). I've had to too often where I've cleaned, boughten items for event etc and effers bail for no reason than...'cuz'
It's why I was clear from the get-go I wouldnt likely be able I'm single and rely entirely upon one person to watch my dogs
But
I hope everyone enjoys, sounds like good fun; that being said, were I flush, I know the impending date, and I'm able, I could be a late yes, but it would be irresponsible of me to commit now not knowing

I think this is a great Idea! A day out, meet new people, play slots, see the falls. I never get tired of NiagraFalls. I myself get stuck in the same old everyday routine and stuck in my comfort zone so its good for everyone to adventure out. It's not like we have to hang out 24/7 meet for a bit and if everyone feels like doing their own thing then so be it. Besides would be cool to meet others with the same interest and do some slotting.

Bebo, at this point I can barely walk from one room to another. I have no idea what dates I will have medical appointments etc. I've had a lot of meet ups over the years, most of them one on one. I was usually the one on a bus visiting someone closeby. Toronto, Montreal, Rama, Ottawa/LacLeamy.

Don't be pissy with me that I'm making excuses or not enough effort. I am just not in the mood for that these days. I'm not functioning well day to day in my own home.

Well that was quick,lol. You don't want to be anywhere near or going to Niagara Falls on a long weekend, Complete nightmare just a fyi for dates. For me I am not sure as posted I am thinking and looking at a whole new life, I still have almost 2 weeks of holidays at current job so if I am still there am mostly looking at a week in Sept. and have no plans at this time for those like 2 weeks I have left.

Bebo is partially correct in you have to live and go on adventures etc etc and I actually am telling people that myself at the moment, but people are like work work work and wait wait wait and then it's too late but it is difficult to say over a month out at least.

I spent a lot of my youth backpacking, travelling and living and working around the world and was fortunate to be able to do so, having the time, funds and lack of responsibilities - one of my fave was backpacking from ON to BC and back, even though I completely ruined my feet and ended up with septicemia and on crutches lol

Then I entered my 40s and got dogs - one of them which required a solid 2 years of heavy training, and which requires further training throughout the lifetime of the dog. And while I'll never get another karelian, I wouldnt trade her for a million bucks cash in hand.

And sure, it put a huge crimp in my lifestyle and social life but I CHOSE full well knowing going in.
I LIKE time at home with, and love, the dogs, and making the home and yard nice and spending time out back or friends' yards, having drinks and fires.
And when the dog passes, I imagine I'll do more travelling, health and body permitting.

Next go, I want two large dogs but less maintenance and more likely able to bring everywhere or drop anywhere (like the one fat bastard I have), as opposed to the other terror I have which the boarder, depiste their assurances can and has handled every type, explained in no uncertain terms, is never allowed to return
