Hello everyone

First time posting and I've sought out this forum for some advice as after a bit of research this seems to be the place with people in the know.

I'm not a seasoned gambler but have used several online casinos. Recently I signed up for a site called Bronze Casino which just appeared to me as an online app. Signed up for the site made a few deposits and then when it came to the withdrawal that's when things started to seem a bit off.

After a bit of researching I saw many bad reviews on this website and also saw that it wasn't event commissioned to allow UK customers (which I am) even though they appear to actively encourage players from any country to sign up with them.

Anyway after loosing a bit on their site and having a few issues withdrawing the money I won I eventually decided to close down my account and ask them to self exclude me from their website (this was over a week ago now and I have received confirmation of this). Now though after reading so much into it and being so clueless to regulations on these sites I've got my self into a bit of a panic And was hoping for some reassurance from people who are actually in the know.

Basically by unknowingly signing up and depositing at this casino, have I broken the law and is their going to be some kind of comeuppance for me? I know some may laugh at this but I suffer with anxiety and reading all these online reviews of this site has got me highly worked up. I have no intention of ever playing there again and I'm a big more clued up now thanks to forums like this helping people to know what's what out there online.

Any advice would be so greatly appreciated. I'm really hoping somebody can put my mind to rest. I can't be the only person who has ever been duped by one of this site's?

You have nothing to fear.

It is not illegal to play at non-UK licensed casinos. It is only illegal for such casinos to offer their services in the UK. They should use a geolocation block but some of the shady places simply do not care.

Maybe some advice for your next account. Do your research first before signing up. :)

Many thanks and I definitely will, I feel like an idiot. They actually did process my withdrawal eventually which means I didn't loose any money on their site and then I instantly closed my account as I felt that due to my research I was a little more clued up.

Can you shed some light on how these non UK sites allowing UK sign ups actually manage to do this without being shut down? I find the whole thing truly confusing, there must be thousands of other players out there too throwing money at sites like this when they shouldn't be allowed to.

Thanks for helping to set my mind at rest, now I know sites like this exist to help people understand the gaming world then I will never make the same mistake again.

When we say these places are rouge, should I still be worried that they have all my details and bank details? Or are they just more interested in watching the deposits fly in from more gulable suckers?

Simply said, they don't care. Where one is shut down, you have three others popping up. You are very lucky to get paid. I assume your net winnings were not very high as that is typical for these rogue places. Pay small amounts to have people come back to lose more. They will screw you then the soon you hit a substantial win.

Not worried as these sites are in it for the quick buck but expect to receive marketing emails including from other sites under their control. They might even sell your data to other rogue operators who will send you some "spectacular offers" to lure you into their casino.

Stick to UK accredited casino list here on CasinoMeister and you will have all the help you need when you run into any issues. Reputable casinos will always display the GAMBLING COMMISSION logo at the bottom of their site. Clicking on it will lead you to the licence page where you can verify that they are indeed UK licensed.

Oh I've already noticed the abundance of spam email I've been getting since I registered with them which is such a pain.

I'm glad to have had my eyes open bit sadly I assume that there must be so many people out there who will just unwillingly sign up and throw many away. Hopefully the day will come when these rouges are finally shut down.

One other thing I noticed when playing on their site is that if I tried to play certain games it would say "not available in your region" what's the deal behind that?

I see the machine is already in action! :D

Unfortunately, there are enough newbies who fall into the trap and keep these places going. Every deposit will help them stay afloat and allows them to rip off more unsuspecting players.

Some games are restricted in specific regions by the game supplier due to licensing issues. The casino has no control over that.

Thanks everyone for all the info. You probably think my first post was a bit ridiculous, but I was honestly worried when I started reading up on these non UK casinos. I just see it as a miracle that my withdrawal did go through, things could have been so much worse. Thanks for being tolerant as I bet this isn't the first time (and won't be the last) that somebody asks about these type of online casinos.

No worries, we are a player community happy to help whenever we can. :)

So you actually ended up getting paid your winnings from them? I won 378 off a 30 deposit and am awaiting approval now for my documents - no bonus/wagering attached so surely they can’t give me that bullshit

lol I sometimes join these casinos for a laugh when i bored and wind up the live chat. should probably post one in here one day.
