Brexit - whats the difference.....

I didn't view the reaction from @Mouche12 as pathetic.

But I'm a snowflake so I do view things differently. Plus drinking.
Sorry my use of explanation may of been wrong.
I don’t find anyone pathetic, and I certainly didn’t wish to offend anyone.
there was zero malice nor aggression in anything I said. if anyone was upset, offended then I’m sorry.
Also chopley, I’m pretty sure you ain’t suicidal, or ever had such thoughts, never expected a joke to be taken to the extreme like this.

Because the 'remainers' or 'rejoiners' as they have now decided to label themselves will just not let it drop.

We've had 3.5 years of a remainer parliament trying to stop Brexit and now a vocal minority of people intent in playing as awkward as possible.
Omg ! You obviously didn’t quite get what I meant did you ? Just carry on if that’s what makes you feel good ! :what:

Well if you ever have an urge to offend someone, you can direct some insults my way. I'm thick-skinned, so I don't really mind.

Oh I got what you meant...but obviously because I'm on the opposite 'side' to you seemingly, I just get another disparaging post in response.

Democracy requires loser's consent.

I actually genuinely felt a pang of sadness when the clock ticked down. I hope the EU can reform and become less politically motivated. If so, I'd be more than happy to rejoin some day.

Maybe I'm a bit too pragmatic though? Damn pragmatism

Here's a thing. You speak in a patronising tone but I'm well educated, highly educated. I could probably run rings around your intelligence. So please, don't speak down to me.

true; my blind-ass has been calling 'ternur' 'temur' for about 2 years running until I noticed and he never once corrected me

Plus I'm not that bright or under the influence sometimes. I might not even notice if someone insults me.

Why would I want to offend you?
wasn’t aware a joke would trigger you.
And why would I wish to attempt to break through your dinosaur like thick skin?
seriously it was a joke.

Do you find this insulting? Or just too scary to contemplate?

Now where just beating a dead horse. I did acknowledge it was a joke. Having lost close people to suicide -> this did trigger a response from me. Nothing more, nothing less.

I wasn't suggesting you to attempt to break through my thick skin. That was sort of a joke. Not a good one, I know. But that should be familiar to you, correct? :D

I'm just messing with you, have fun and enjoy the festivities. :drink:

No probs at all. Genuinely didn’t intend to upset anyone.
and I’m no angel, made many many many a post in drink that I shouldn’t of.
no hard feelings.
happy brexmas

Reading some of the morning editorials here in Sweden the sentiment has changed. They now call for a tough stance in the coming negotiations so the UK don’t get any possibilities to compete unfairly. They also say that things, like fishing and agriculture, where Sweden and the UK had pushed the same agenda within the EU, is a lost case for us and that we should align with the rest of the EU so we have an united approach

It for sure is going to be an interesting year/years ahead of us. I hope that prestige will be tuned down and that the pragmatics on both sides will prevail.

Quite. Playing high stakes oneupmanship will backfire on both sides.
Wouldn’t worry about it.
just like world war 3 that didn’t happen and this silly virus that’s not really that serious.
we will be fine, will probs get a £2 max stake before April.
Harry and megan will split..
and the sky won’t fall in after brexit.

It's the morning after the Union before. The sky still appears to be in the sky and no horsemen of the apocalypse are galloping across my house at the present moment. I'm now going to celebrate my Britishness by having an Italian coffee, with a Danish pastry and then go out in my German car to buy some Belgian beers and French Red wine for the Spanish Tapas style meal we're having this evening.

That's how the BBC's Marxist/PC agenda has always been. It targets the young and impressionable in order to both overtly and subliminally brainwash them into the 'new way of thinking'. Makes sure they don't grow up to have the inconvenient and non-compliant views many of their elders have.

I see it fails to mention the television they see it on, the computer, internet and over half of the inventions of the modern industrial and consumer society are accredited to Britain. As if we didn't have a royal family BEFORE the House of Hanover and a German relative. Another paid stooge of the BBC.

Hello everyone I had a perfectly pleasant Brexit evening drinking wine, playing slots (video already edited together and uploading now), and then finished off with some mentally invigorating games of Hearthstone.

I'm not offended by Playford's suicide comment - (and that's speaking as someone who's been suicidal in the past and come pretty close to tipping myself over the edge, as per my Gambling Low Ebbs videos) - I get his sense of humour and understand there's no genuine malice or wishing of harm upon anyone behind the comment. (It is a very delicate subject for some folks though and isn't the sort of comment I'd make myself.)

As I said a few pages ago, Brexit has happened, those who wanted it have got it, if it all goes swimmingly well then I'll hold my hand up and admit I called it wrong, but if it turns out to be a pile of shit, the Leavers have got to own that eventuality as well.

Worth noting for all the hysteria and manic 'banter' from BOTH SIDES that we won't feel the effects of Brexit for quite some time. Years, if at all

Even if a few of my neighbour's houses have since disappeared, and the sky has turned blood red

that might be entirely coincidental your neighbours all up and left away from you :D

Best part being, they voted Leave too

I think being chavs they took it too literally

I don't believe anyone 'won', other than having voters lambasted for choosing one of two options.

Humility and acceptance has been lacking on both sides as it were, and no doubt this'll carry on long into the proverbial night

Time to lighten up the mood in here, again... Atleast Britain is getting their courts back from....... :what:

Those bloody Germans taking over our courts!

I think there are going to be a lot of people who are very disappointed in Brexit, once the whole thing shakes out.

She is right we are getting our courts back from Germany seeing as though Germany and Merkel run the EU from within, so stop mocking her realise who has their heads in the sand.

Yes I definitely get the impression they've both really thought it all through and taken into account every single nuance of what our new relationship with the EU will look like, perhaps a career in the legal profession beckons for them now we're a free and buccaneering nation once again.

That may well be, but going by that footage, Gemma Collins & pal certainly didn't allude to Germany's power-hold by design, but rather through sheer fluke

Let's be honest, what they wanted to say but didn't dare on the Beeb was "getting rid of the foreigners". So they fluked something that's semi-correct :D

What we didn't see off-camera is they were reading off giant placards. But when that failed the BBC drew pictures for them at quick notice

High time the license fee was scrapped and the BBC left to fend for itself.

The coverage was so biased in favour of remain last night it was embarrassing. Grim faced presenters and focus on the remain side all night long. Very little of the celebrations and Farage's speech. They even managed to source interviews with people well out of their depth with regards to politics...hence the vacuous responses seen and raised in this thread. Utterly shameful.

Impartial my elbow.

Scrapping the license fee would probably be one of the most popular things Boris could do.

Much like the allotted timing of their coverage. Wanting not to be subjected to Sky's showing of it I did raise a brow upon seeing the BBC's slot for the night's events - 10 pm onwards, unlike e.g Sky's at 9.

To be honest I'm surprised they showed it all really, or at the very least a New Year's Eve-esque cut to the proceedings about 15 minutes before the deed!

Yet they'll cover anything Royal-related to the hilt, fawning and flapping about like excitabe muppets for days at a time

Getting rid of foreigners isn’t really how the uk think at all. It’s more getting rid of a certain type of ‘foreigner’ that prompted many Brexit votes. I’m all for immigration, we just have one type that we can’t talk about that isn’t welcome.

The bbc needs to be a pay per view only option. If not abolishing. It was once a great British institution, sadly now it’s a biased propaganda machine. It’s time is up, won’t be long.

I for one am sick of certain groups

Amish out!!
I moved from Amish country not long ago; not one of the bastiches would pick me up hitch-hiking in their buggies and carriages, pfft
