You are now chatting with 'Shane'

Shane: Welcome to Box24 Casino Live Chat. How may I help you?

you: Hello Shane.

you: I received an email today that offers 24 dollar no deposit bonus.

you: I'm not going to ask where you got my email address from although I am kind of curious but I was also under the impression that Rival casinos do not allow Canadian players.

Shane: this is correct we dont i am sorry some one has been sending flyers for us and we dont know who

Shane: it is being looked into

you: You don't know who advertises your casino?

you: Why would someone you don't know want people to join your casino?

Shane: on this occation we are unsure where this is comming from it is being invetergated

Shane: Is there anything else I might be able to assist you with at the moment?

you: I see. And Rival casinos allow American players but not Canadian players?

Shane: unfortunatly yes something to dowith the software

you: The software works just as well in Canada as it does in any other country.

you: Thanks for your time.

Apparently Rival is still Anti-Canadian.

My beef with them is that they seem out of sorts. The live chat guy doesnt respond to you for a good 5 minutes each time even though it is stated in the box that you are now chatting with 'Mark'. My sec. docs were sent to them on Sunday and after an acknowledgment on Monday, they have still not returned mail to tell me whether or not the docs are approved. This came about despite live chat promising me that I would get a quick reply no matter what the status was.

So much for paying within 24 hours. If the docs arent approved there cant be a valid cashout so the withdrawal period is moot.

I'm also not sure, if my docs approved, because i got only an answer, that they can't approve my docs, because my name is not exactly the same on my utility bill, although i'm registered in about 50 casinos and never had any problem!

in my name there is a letter with "" but most casinos didn't even accept this letter so i must write "oe" which is certainly exactly the same letter, because in my emailaddress is also only a "oe" instead the "" because it's 100% the same letter and no emailaddress have a in the emailname, because that doesn't work and i thought, that everybody should normally know this, since i've never had any problems with my name.

But they told me only, that they can't accept my IDs, because of my registered Name, which is not exact the same.

I told them certainly directly, that "" means "oe" so it's the same letter, but since that i got never any answer from them back, so i'll surely never ply there, because that's a very bad support!

I have to be honest, I wouldn't like to be invetergated. I imagine you are held upside down and beaten senseless with a metal ruler.

I can live with the fact that some of these casinos have people who don't speak very good english. Hell, I only speak english and I don't speak very good english.

I'm just wondering how many other countries are banned from Rival or is this just a Canadian thing? Why Rival and not 3Dice, Microgaming, RTG?

This is half-assed help and sorry for that but somewhere in this forum is some kind of explanation for the no canadian thing. I guess I could go try to find it unless someone else can find it first? :D

If this is the same Shane who phoned me at geeze 3am this morning then I have to say he spoke perfect English. He was very apologetic for the delay in both answering my emails and approving my docs. I thanked him and gave a polite hint to not call at unsocial hours next time. Nevertheless, he seemed quite sincere and probably I could give this new outfit another chance. After returning from work, I will make a deposit and withdraw my winnings from the free chip I mustered during the previous weekend.

Skiny go to April 3, 09 in here to Rivals pull out of Canada.

Well, the thread just kind of tapers off. Anyone really ever find out why they pulled out of Canada?

I was insulted the first time I tried to join a Rival casino and the live support basically said "Sorry, we don't let Canadians play at our casinos." And that was pretty much all I got out of them.

Did everyone get their money back? Some of these casinos are still accredited after booting an entire country out and not even offering a valid explanation?

I'd like to see every player they have left email them and say "Sorry. Unfortunately we don't use Rival software anymore.... Something to do with the software."

I understand why you are upset, but I don't understand why you keep going on about it.

The reason Rival pulled out of Canada is exactly the same as why MG and Playtech pulled out of the USA - they are worried about being prosecuted by the Canadian Government in case they decide online gaming is illegal. (Rival Gaming is a Canadian company)
This all kicked off when Rival were taken to court in a civil action - I can't remember all the details, but I'm sure you'll find it somewhere in this thread:-
https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/rival-emails-on-cdn-players.29315/

It may suck for you, but at least you're better off than Americans who can't play MG, Crypto, Playtech, Grand Virtual, Net Ent, and several others for similar reasons. :(

And yes, all Canadian players were able to cash-out any money they had in Rival casinos.

Very impressed. Initiated a withdrawal 6 hours ago and though I didnt ask for it to be flushed the money is already sitting in my ecocard account. This is probably the 1st Rival casino not to have a 24-hour reversible period. Maybe Tradition also does the same, non?

Is it normal for you to enter a thread that is barely a page long and ask people why they are "going on" about the subject?

The first response to this post was yesterday at 7 pm. Since then I have made two very short posts.

Maybe I was mistaken in my assumption that the entire idea behind this portion of this website was to hold conversations.

And by the way. It doesn't really suck for me. I'm quite happy with the casinos I can play at. I don't really need the tiny handful of Rival casinos that don't want my money.

I was curious and I asked a few questions.... But lets not go on about it.

Congrats Chuchu, I initiated a withdrawal yesterday and upon my question they told me today that it should be processed within 72 hours. Very unimpressed

Cheers Balky

When they dont have the normal pending 24-hour period it follows that they are not intent on you reversing your withdrawal and therefore it is normal that they will probably send you your money as quick as possible so you will continue to play with them. I hope other Rival casinos follow suit. The first thing would be to cancel the 24-hour pending period.

Guys,

this is just a misunderstanding. The "Canadian player exclusion' was hotly debated several months ago and KK was in the thick of things then so to him it is not an issue now. Canadian players have, more or less, accepted that the Rivals will not accept their play although they dont like it.

I'm sure KK has been a part of this forum long enough to know that not everyone was a part of past threads.

If he was in the thick of one of these threads he could have simply posted a link to it.

This is one Canadian player who thinks that Rival did every gambling Canadian a HUGE favour by pulling out of Canada. Shady people running this company for starters, not too sure about the software itself, the whole "white label" thing (I mean really, does the internet truly NEED 30 plus Rival shitholes?)...and the lawsuit was the final straw. A cool 1/2 mil for breach of contract. Yeah, that's it...just don't pay the people you owe and cite "financial difficulties" as to why you can't pay them. And then....voila...let's have someone who can't be paid out win a progressive jackpot of over 1/4 mill....then, when we realize we can't get away with that trick and have to put the money back into the pot, let's have someone named Jeff win the very same Progressive just a week or so later. How very convenient. And then the lawsuit gets "settled". I'd give my left boob to know if it was settled for approximately 1/4 million dollars (the size of the One Million Reels B.C. Progressive).

Skiny, they did you a favour, trust me. Beyond Slotocash, who truly seem to be an independent operation....none of these places have any business on anyone's recommended list. White label operations that have pretty much polluted the internet, with more springing up every single week.

My apologies. I thought you had posted 4 or 5 times on this subject, but I can see now that I was mistaken.
Maybe it was someone else, or maybe I was dreaming...

Sorry!
