i have played and evaluated the Bovada Casino Blackjack system for a few months now. the information below was not put together because i lost money, got mad, and wanted to rip on Bovada. it was put together after examining my play history, and looking at the hands and trends that i have played. i have won and lost at bovada, but my winnings were only a result of playing a completely unconventional system.
First the positive. if you manage to win any money, they do pay. i have received 2 payouts in a timely manner. but don't get to excited until you read the Cons.
now for the negatives. they claim to have a "random system", but if you play as much as i do, and for as long as i have, it is easy to spot trends in there "random" system. let me give you some examples. 1) 70%-80% of the time, if you get a blackjack, the dealer will get an ace on the very next hand, more times than not resulting in a blackjack for the dealer. if that doesn't happen, the dealer will typically get a 20, or draw to a 21. or within a hand or two will get a blackjack. this happens so frequently, that there is no way it is random. i will typically drop my bet to the minimum after a blackjack, because i know the dealer will more times than not, get one immediately after mine. 2) if you have a bust card and hit, 90% of the time you will draw a card valued at 10, causing you to bust. very very very few times will you be able to take more than 3 cards. On the flip side, the dealer will routinely take 4, 5, 6 cards to make its hand. along with this, if the dealer has a bust card showing, you can expect the dealer 70%-90% of the time to have a 1, 2, 3, or 4 down, or will draw one or more of these cards to make a hand. some folks may not notice this, but i do. when a dealer pulls multiple small cards, they are much more likely to make a hand and not bust. you will notice when playing at Bovada, that a dealer 6, is not a bust card, rather, the dealer will more times than not pull a 18, 19, 20, or 21. 3) you will be dealt a lot of splits and double down opportunities. be careful. you will win some of these, but more times than not, you will lured into a split with a couple double downs, only to have the dealer pull a 21, or barely beat you. 4) if you take advantage of the bonuses offered. you can expect to see the hands greatly change to the casinos favor once you have played the required play through hands, so be careful. 5) the dealer receives an extremely high % of 19, 20, and 21's. 6) the dealer receives a very very high % of winning hands that contain 5 and 6 cards. this does happen, but not at the frequency you will experience at Bovada. like i mentioned earlier. the dealer will more times than not have 1 or more small cards in hand, which will make more hands than break hands.
hope this helps everyone. my final words would be, don't waste your money at bovada. i have addressed these issues with their customer service, but they want to stick to their claim of "random cards". the evidence shows otherwise. Find a different casino to play at, and don't waste your time with Bovada.
