Good Evening All,
I have a question that hopefully someone can help with.
Do online sites have any reason to call a bonus something else? The reason is I have been in communication with a site and have received my transaction history. I can see from a certain date the bonuses they have awarded are documented as compensation awarded. There are a few concerns I have with this - Firstly one for £178 was not reflective in my balance and secondly, more importantly I suppose is why would it be called this when they transaction is clearly a bonuses and on my contact history it is described as a bonus.
Is there an actual reason why this would be?

Why don't you query the issue with the site you have transacted with, its only logical.

I have, but I am trying to gather any other information in the meantime as it just seems very strange

You did not mention which site?..is it a casino or sportsbook?
Naming a bonus, as something else could be to put up a front for auditing purpose, i might be wrong, others might come up with a better explaination.

It is a well known bingo/casino operator with multiple sites.
I don’t want to mention the name just yet until I get their response as want to make sure they don’t try to backtrack before they have officially responded on it.
I thought the same. The first deposit bonus is called that then everything else after is called a compensation award.....

I made a referral to a casino, notably a Casino Rewards Casino, the referral was treated like trash, suspended account on first deposit, no bonus awarded and a non specific term of time, for someone who has made their second deposit to a casino ever? What are your thoughts on referrals, particularly with reference to bonus?
