BJ switch is one of my favorit games.

Yesterday I found that it is not available on every playtech casinos that I registered. It is still listed on the software, but when you enter the game, it shows not availbale and asks you to try other games.

What's the problem?
Will this game be permanently removed from playtech?

Yeah that sucks... I hope it will not be completely removed but I fear for the worst.

The highlight of Playtech BJ Switch is very low house edge and taking into account comps, you actually get to gamble with minimal cost at almost even odds against the casino. That's why I speculate they might not want to offer the game anymore... :( I hope I am wrong.

Blackjack Switch has dissapeared

I'm playing in EnterCasino with the new version of playtech casino and Blackjack switch is not in the list of games anymore

According to the Wizard of Odds, even taking into account the 0.1% comps, there is STILL an edge for the house, so long term players STILL lose. The game is excluded for bonus play in any case.

It seems Playtech fears that the edge is so low that the game CAN be beaten with perfect strategy, yet mathematically they are wrong, unless Playtech have screwed up and a rule in play is not as intended, and has turned the game into a +EV one for players.

Now it's back.

However I don't if any of the rules has been modified to favor the dealer's side.

It was pulled for a reason, so presumably something has been fixed. It may not necessarily be the rules, but a glitch in how the software implements them. It ties neatly with a bitch and moan from a German player who was thrown out by Totesport and Betfred even though he played without ever claiming bonuses. He admits to having a strategy that in some circumstances causes these games to become +EV, despite what the maths shows. It all points to some kind of glitch being uncovered that players have been exploiting. It also has me thinking about earlier cases where Playtech casinos have thrown out players who play Blackjack without bonuses, with one player having over 100K confiscated on the shaky grounds that his perfect play at Blackjack could only have been achieved by using a bot, even though they had no proof that a bot was used. This too could have been earlier exploitation of this particular Blackjack variant, but that at the time the casino didn't look past the bot theory, and didn't think to check the game itself.

Even with the rules as stated, the house edge is a wafer thin 0.17%, reducing to a mere 0.07% if comps at the standard 0.1% rate are awarded.
