After having a break for a few weeks, I deposited £200 today to test the waters.
Got to say it was one of the worst sessions ever.I have no problem with losing,
all I ask is a little entertainment, but tonights play was truly awful.
Played Reactoonz,Fat rabbit,Lazer fruits, Heist at peacock manor, biggest
stake was 50p,not one game gave me a feature, just hundreds of dead games.
Only thing that played half decent was Extra chilli.
Really think something is badly wrong with games nowdays, too consistant
to be bad luck.

Hey Shadow,

Please take this in the context I am trying to get across. I don’t mean to be derogatory.

Our Player Experience Team would respond to this kind of message asking if you are comfortable with your levels of spend. The comments you have made are typical of someone who isn’t comfortable. I am not saying that is you, but something you should consider.

Please consider a longer break or setting limits with the operator you are playing with. If you have an account at 32Red or any in the Kindred group I can help set them for you.

Apologies if I have the wrong end of the stick but it’s important we all play responsibly (me included).

Let me know if I can help in any way.

Mark

I don't play slots, but reading the comments on here, that seems to be a recurring theme, lately. Do you think the screws are being applied?

Out of interest, what kind of mood were you in before you began playing? I've noticed that if I try to play roulette out of habit, when I shouldn't be, due to being in a stressed or tired state, I don't tend to do so well. Just a thought. :)

Well those are the worst games to play fyi, Reactoonz you hope for the big hit early. :)

Thanks for the replies

I was a happy bunny prior to playing, I have a pretty tedious life, and a slot session is a welcome
diversion now and then. The spending is really not a problem, I have never been more financially
secure. My point is that there does not seem to be any value for money or entertainment anymore.
My rant was about that rather than losing.

I am experiencing the exact same thing dead spin after dead spin and if I do manage to trigger a feature it pays next to nothing time and again. Take laser fruits for example. Thought I would try it on Saturday at 40p a spin. £30 in I trigger the bonus it gave me 8 spins to start but retriggered another 22 quite quickly. A bit of hope I thought, not likely pays x15. I play on and trigger it again this time 23 spins and another retrigger of 23 a couple of spins in. I have £6 won and 35 spins left with 58,320 megaways already In place. End result a p:;s poor £13.20. I just thought what is the point. I think Mark you are missing Shadows point. I don't think he is moaning about the amount of money deposited (neither am I). The rant is more focused on the nature of the way we are losing our money. There is a difference.

All I see is "one deposit" "in a few weeks" "to test". That is exactly the opposite of a person not in control.

If all you need to get the "you are a problem gambler" talk is a comment about low entertainment of your season ......
... then soon enough the police will be out arresting anybody that doesn't walk with a constant smile on their faces!

I too have been experiencing a very bad run of luck, I lost £300 in one evening [ a lot when you stick to minimum stake] and I was so angry, because I felt I had been robbed, I used the TAB feature for the first time ever to take a break for 4 weeks. By week three I was on the brink of extending the break as the reality of my losses [prob around 10k] over 2 years began to sink in, it was as if going cold turkey had started to rewire my brain back to how it use to be when I thought losing £5 was too much of a waste.

But then like you I dipped my toe back in or so I thought. Another £270 loss, then very near the point of giving up slots for a long time, I had the amazing hit on extra chilli £730 at 20p stake. But within a week of having a few goes here and there the £730 had all gone, I couldn't believe it :( what a waste of a rare win. Luckily I won one of the £500 BTG prices, but I have since come close to losing half of this as well, and I just play at the minimum stake.

When I started playing slots about two years ago, there were definitely more wins, sessions went on longer with good recoveries, you could start with a £50 deposit and get to £1,000. But it seems to have all dried up a bit now, so I am returning to my small deposits [£5-10] and taking any small win I can. Today has been good to me as I gained back my losses from yesterday[£120] when I wasn't expecting to, so I feel a relieved man, and can now do the odd £5 here and there and hope to hit something somewhere.

My losses not that high but same feeling I have. Bonanza has wiped around £600 off me in 3 weeks. That to me is too much to accept is normal. Another loss tonight I'm a inch from closing them all and all are now limited too.

Whole lot of them are pile of shite, losing £100 to win £12 is just massive piss take.

Is one supposed to be happy when they've just had a stinker? It's a pretty sad state of affairs if all we're permitted to do is lose, keep quiet and don't make a fuss

I'd be peeved too, and I fail to see how it's indicative of harbouring a gambling problem....

Bonanza is so addictive, and the losses just sneakily build up, I was going to follow your tactic of 60-80p stake, but the base game just seems to change for me and the 10x wins disappear. I've been having to lose around £35 at 20p stake just to get a bonus, so at 60p stake it could be £105 lost before I get a bonus, and I would find it hard to walk away then.

Also because of my recent losses, I've found myself getting a decent win but playing on to try and regain more of my losses back, and then losing the lot, redepositing and then losing that as well. Whereas if I had taken the smaller wins to cut my losses, I would have been in a much better position.

This is so accurate one would think the game is rigged.......

Sorry if my comment didn’t sit well goatwack, we (me included) have bad sessions and I agree it’s good to vent off steam, but do you ever think ‘there is something bad with these machines’? There are certain flags we look for and, although I am sure the OP is fine, this is one of them.

Apologies if my comment came across wrong but it wasn’t intended to be in bad faith. By the additional replies all seems good but I hope you agree it’s always good to have an alternative view.

@shadow123 sorry if I offended in any way.

Mark

This is dangerous territory. Like you said, if you had taken smaller wins you would have been much better off.

I know it's a fine line and you have a difficult job to do ascertaining problem gamblers and so forth. I generally mean all casinos in this trend of prying and determining what a problem gambler is these days, as the goal posts seem to have shifted. No need to apologize ;)

It's insulting and derogatory to assume someone has a gambling problem because they are not happy with their play time. I have been there. same accusation due to expressing my discontent only to face the same accusation when I had already stopped depositing and my last deposit was weeks ago and I don't miss playing, life has taken over again :)

I wouldnt worry Mark this is just your professional side coming out, but I disagree with you on one thing I have seen even the most sensible gamblers accuse slots of being rigged at one time or another.
