Hi All
If you did not know it the Casino City Review Site is an affliate of BODOG CASINO.

I tried to post something negative regarding BODOG and they refused to post it. So much for their objectivity.

My comments were as follows:
I had been having trouble getting Master Card deposits made through BODOG. I checked with my MC bank and found that none of my transaction deposits had ever made it to their site. Then I saw the light. Everytime I posted a deposit through MC I would get kicked back to their ewallet section. Low and behold I found out at ewallet that BODOG receives a kickback from Ewallet for every transaction they send their way. Ewallet is a rip off because they charge so much for using their service.

2ndly I found that when betting at the BODOG CASINO once my bets reached more than $25 (craps and euro roulette) my win loss ratio went to hell in a basket. I almost could never win when I bet larger amounts of money. This has happened over and over and over again. I believe that BODOG has fixed their casino site to reduce wins at higher betting levels. If you don't believe me try it---Its so obvious!

Net net is stay away from Casino City. They are not a legitimate review site.

Unfortunately, most poker rooms that also operate a casino, or have casino games available through the software (especially playtech) do so crookedly in the hopes that you will blow all your poker winnings.
Basically a 'hidden rake'.
Playtech are renown for this. I know. My RTP when I did try them out was almost zero.

All review sites are affiliates of the operators they promote. Thats how they make their money - they get paid either a flat fee or a percentage of your losses for referring you (as a player) to that casino, poker room, bingo hall or sports betting operator.

Has always been the case.

Hope that helps

I totally agree!
For example, this is what Casino Shity say about Silver Oak casino:-

Some sites will promote anyone for an easy buck...

Hi again,

I worked for Casino City for four years prior to joining Calvin and BodogBrand.com. Casino City is not a review site- it is a directory which objectively ranks all online gambling sites in existence based on popularity. With that said, Casino City does list bonus information of online gambling sites that they have an affiliate deal with.

Casino City is an affiliate of Bodog's, and this is because Bodog has always treated Casino City players fairly and has always treated Casino City very well as an affiliate. I will send this thread to Michael Corfman who is the owner of Casino City and GPWA.org so he can comment if he chooses to do so.

In the meantime, Bryan Bailey and Michael Corfman have been friends for years, so you can ask Bryan for his thoughts on Casino City (and Bodog and me) if you'd like.

Regarding your Bodog comments, I urge you to send me your account information, as I requested in a PM earlier to you today, so I can speak with the decision makers on your behalf and get some answers for you.

Thank you!
Becky

Personally I appreciate Casino City for their extensive list. Good job! But in case they offer space for comments, they should also let bad opinions to be displayed, too. Until they block such messages, posters have a reson to think they do this because their incomes are tied to their casino partners.

While Silver Oak came up had to post this link to GPWA

Only good thing is Robwins reply:thumbsup:

Bottom line is if you promote rogues you are part of the problem. This case is clear. As mentioned GPWA and Casino City have the same owner and both sites prospers from a "known" rogue. And some wonder why rogues stays in business.

Casino City is a very helpful directory with a lot of useful information! Directory is different with a review sites. I agree that.

Hi,

This is Michael Corfman of Casino City, and I'd like to respond to some posts in this thread in order to clarify matters. I'll start by quoting the following two posts in this thread:

What Casino City did was to create a facebook application called "Places I've Played" that lets players record what they think of both online and land-based properties with their friends and with other players on facebook. Following is what we say on the bodog page located at
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

"Check out "Places I've Played" - the FIRST Facebook application created for ranking online gambling sites - to see how other people rate Bodog Casino. Currently, 60 percent of the "Places I've Played" users who have visited Bodog Casino call it one of their favorites and 30 percent have posted comments about the site."

So, zippedup, what you did was to create a review using the Places I've Played application. If you follow the link on the Casino City Bodog page to reviews for Bodog, you will see that your comments are there as well as the comments of everyone else who said something about Bodog. I've made a screenshot of what is shown if you look at the review page which is shown below:

Old Attachment (Invalid)

Now, I agree it would be good to pull those comments back to the Casino City website so they can be seen directly rather than having to follow a link to the facebook application to see what was said, and I expect we we do the development work to support that at some time because believe it would be appreciated by our visitors. In that case in addition to your comment about payment issues you would also see that the three other folks that had something to say about Bodog payments said that they paid promptly.

What I would most like to emphasize, however, is that the information we display on Casino City regarding reviews and the information displayed within the Places I've Played facebook application is not affected by whether we have a business relationship with a gaming site or not. In fact, there is not even a possibility for our relationship with a property to influence what we post about it since the process is handled by programs and not by people.

I hope this information helps.

Any legit affiliate would never promote rogue or shady casinos/poker rooms/etc. For you to say that all affiliates are in it only for the money and don't care if players get screwed in the process is.....appalling.

Objectively? If they were objective, they would be willing to post all reviews &/or warnings, whether or not they are good. At least if bad reviews and/or warnings were posted in a place that's easy to view, the player would have all the information to make a decision as to playing at that particular casino or not.

Objective : undistorted by emotion or personal bias; based on observable phenomena; "an objective appraisal"; "objective evidence"

I agree and disagree. I checked this comment feature, I didn't notice it so far. Actually there is no comment that can be read directly on the web. Only a link to comments. And if this photo is valid, Online Casino City really keeps the bad opinions as well.

Fair enough, but CC needs to put these comments in plain sight. IE: Not making the visitor click on a link to go off-site to check out unbiased reviews.

C'mon KK - are these comments really necessary?

You know Michael and you should know he is concerned about players just as much as I am. Calling his site "Casino Shitty" isn't cool.

Yes, it's a directory - which I use often when looking for casino jurisdictions and related properties. I've always considered it a helpful resource.

Now to the rogue section. The Ace Revenue group of casinos (Silver Oak etc.) are the rebranded Crystal Palace group. Quick history lesson: these casinos had a bad rep for unorthodox marketing practices and for screwing bonus players over. These casino pulled a number of tricks, but tried to make amends a couple of times by listening to reason...which in the long run was just too inconvenient for them, so they remained in the rogue pit.

The operator, Warren Cloud, died last year - and his properties were rebranded as the Ace Revenue group and they remained in the pit. They've been there since.

Since then, have there been complaints? Well, I'm sure there are some - but is there anything outstanding? This is something to look at if we want to remain fair and objective. So, perhaps I should review these properties and make a determination on how rogue they really are at the moment.

Things to consider: current management, current marketing techniques, outstanding player complaints. The casino managers or operators are always free to contact me to have me review rogue listings. It's a huge job keeping this updated. Most times - I don't review these entries until prodded by others to do so.

I think i have this right,
When a rep was on here from one of the crystal palace casino's i believe Max asked the asked the rep if he would be willing to start up communications between CM and the casino, but the rep failed to answer, so it was a no go,
ill see if i can find the thread.

nope cant find it, maybe Max can remember

Ask and you shall receive:

This was a year ago - Big Daddy sort of fell of the face of the globe, then his email started bouncing - thus his account is dormant.

https://www.casinomeister.com/forum...lace-casino-cleopatraspalacecasino-com.31683/,

although i may have got the casino groups mixed up,
quote by max
My next question is: is it possible that other members of the Curgam Malta /Futura Properties group will reconsider their current position and follow the example of Cleopatra's Palace Casino regarding their willingness to receive and discuss player issues? I think that would be a very good thing.
