Just feel that all slots are bit cold right now. 3x $200 in and have not seen a good bonus feature (100x). Maybe too many big wins on DOA...

Betspin allowed me to open an a/c and deposit multiple times despite already being self excluded from Guts, where it shares a license.
Regardless of my own stupidity, the UKGC licence conditions require a license holder to 'take all reasonable steps to refuse service or other prevent an individual who has entered self exclusion from participating in gambling'.
Given I used the same email address, same user ID and same home address - in this case it's fair to say reasonable steps were clearly not taken.
I have PM'd the Betspin and Guts reps and we'll see. The rules are there for player protection - it's not good enough for casino's only to invoke them if a player has actually won so it suits them (I am not saying this is the case here - it may well have been a genuine error - but given I used the same details at both sites, something clearly is not right).
(I note a similar claim is being made in another thread - not quite the same - my Guts exclusion was 10 days before I signed up at Betspin)
Hi The Blue Anchor,
Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
I will investigate what has happened here and I have also replied to your private message.
In the meantime please rest assured that we have put steps in place so that if you have self excluded on Guts.com you will not be able to register with the same details on Betspin.
Thanks,
Phil.
It's a little concerning for me as I also have an active self exclusion at Guts. When I learnt recently that these casinos were connected, I felt the correct action to take was to contact Live Chat and ask if my self exclusion at Guts would be a problem when playing at Betspin.
I spoke with Irene (or similar name) and explained my situation. I was told that having a self exclusion at Guts would not be a problem when playing at Betspin. Since I was given the green light I continued to deposit.
What I'm reading here seems to contradict that but as I was logged into my account at the time I'm assuming this chat was recorded and perhaps Phil would wish to review it. I'm not sure of the exact wording by memory so I can't quote it here.
I would like to continue playing at Betspin, but I don't exactly feel confident right now as I'm not entirely sure If I'm legally allowed to play or not.
Please don't start this nonsense BetSpin

Reopened the game several times but done this each time on the first spin. Seen these errors before at Guts, and we all know the difficulties faced there nowadays
Started off pretty well today too, but once MG games start doing this I'm outta there. Withdrew and will try again another day.
will be donating £100 of my returned deposits to the Gamcare charity.
Hey Valhalla,
I'm really sorry to hear about the problems that you have encountered.
I've just had a quick check and it seems fine for me so I will get the tech guys to check the logs to see if we can pinpoint why this is happening ASAP.
Apologies once again for the hassle. In the meantime I have credited your account with a small bonus for the inconvenience, so you can enjoy some free games on the house.
Just don't try Immortal Romance for now
Thanks for your patience and understanding.
Phil.
I would just like to say that betspin have refunded all my deposits due to me having an active self exclusion at Guts.
I'm not really sure how I feel about this, I just feel numb. It feels like "dirty money".
I signed up using the same username, email, password and all other details that match my Guts account. But more importantly, I had no idea these casinos were connected. The reason I joined was simply because of this thread. I have self exclusions that did not expire for another few months and was looking for a new "home".
I have a lot of respect for how they have handled this and I just hope it doesn't reflect negatively upon me as a member here. At no point did I ever ask for any money to be refunded. I became aware that this casino was connected to Guts were I was self excluded and I brought this to their attention.
I think this also raises the issue of differentiating between self exclusion and closing accounts, and identifying the difference. If I have a cold run on a casino, I will go on to chat and request the closure of the account, but I make it clear that its not because of a gambling issue, its a personal choice as I dont want to be emailed with offers etc to get me back, I want to take a break for a while. If I then open an account at a related casino, I take my chance and if I lose, I lose, if I win I win, but now, although its never been an issue in the past, I am a bit concerned that if I do win in future at a related casino I could have any winnings taken away. I think there needs to be a clear distinction between the reasons people chose to close accounts.

My understanding is that different casinos have different policies regarding self exclusion.
I had done a mass self exclusion a while back and in some cases I was simply able to reverse this to a 7 day "cooling off" period.
However, as I requested a specific time frame for my account to be closed, many casinos treat this as a formal self exclusion regardless of the terminology I used.
