sorry if someone else has posted and i might have overlooked a post of bet phoenfix . i had entered the money tournaments and free tournaments but didnt get to play all of them out due to cant log in to the casino. they did say they were doing a systems up grade and would keep me informed. its been 2 days already and i was wondering if it was just me.? [/I]

According to their website, it appears they are going to be closed for seven days.....and changing software platforms!!

Hopefully this will be a change for the better....I would personally like to see BetOnSoft. Lets just hope they don't go to Tog Game or whatever Casino33 is using now.

They are changing to be another Rival casino.
What I don't understand is why they can't let their customers know that they will not be able to touch their own money for seven days. I would be furious:eek2:

Another Rival! Just what we needed!

And ofcourse Tirilej that decision was made by Upper Management 3 minutes before they closed down and there was no time to inform their customers.:p

Sending out a mass email to customers is a timeconsuming and costly process that needs weeks of preparation.

What's wrong with RTG?

What about CANADIAN customers, and THEIR money.

Worse still, they were taking entries for tournaments they never intended to run, what about the money that might have been paid for these?

Why a delay of 7 days, couldn't they have coordinated this so that they could switch overnight, or did the loss of 7 days worth of revenue not bother them?

Something doesn't seem right here. There is NO issue with RTG when it comes to serving US customers, but a move to Rival forces them to ditch all their CANADIAN customers immediately, along with any revenue they brought in.

Players thought the CURRENT payment delays were bad, they could be even WORSE under Rival.

Is it merely "just another Rival", or is it "just another white label Rival".

Well at least we know what the big secret is.

I would be very surprised if it was MG or any other provider that requires a large investment and cash reserves.

Regardless of what it is, I'm sure the payouts will still take a week or more so it will likely be a case of 'same s*it different smell'

Let's hope I'm wrong.

So I was right

Talk about a step backwards.

Where is Nicolas? What is going to happen with the money players have spent on tourny's they can not play? That money should have been returned to them before it was shut down for the conversion, and they should have been given ample time to withdraw that money.

Just my 2 cents.

Can you give me the link to casino33? I didn't know they were still in business. I had money in that casino/sportsbook and I thought they closed down (they were always very honorable before that). I just tried casino33.com but nothing came up.

Thank you

ihad entered a few tourneys and cant log in to see if i had played them all. i had a withdrawl of 50.00 pending and 3.84 left in my account for tourneys . i got a email yesterday stating that my 50 dollars was sent to my q t account along with the extra 3.84 that i had left in my casino account for tourneys. they cleaned my account out for me . but i got all my money from them. just strange thats all.

At least they are paying back monies trapped in players' accounts, but this looks like some kind of PANIC move by them, no notice, no orderly wind down of existing promotions. They were taking entries for advertised tournaments that were never going to be possible to play.

It really looks like they were on the verge of going bust, and this was a short notice emergency move to keep them afloat, become a Rival white label.

The same thing happened when Playshare suddenly became Casino Rewards overnight, and ditched currently running promotions without notice. The Playshare rep simply vanished, and never answered questions about the sudden move.

Nicholas is unlikely to be around until Monday, but if we hear nothing from him for all of next week, we will have to consider the possibilty that he no longer works there, as NOT to respond to this issue would be out of character for him as an active "hands on" rep here.

Ok, let me try and clear up what is happening.

RTG is a top casino software platform to run an online casino on. However, and unfortunately, due to the intricacies of casino operations, and how they work and the current industry landscape, we were not able to achieve the type of business that we wanted to with their platform. And worse, based on our projections, we were not going to be able to.

So to get to be the best we can be, we had to re-asses our entire business model. We found moving to a new platform to be the only way we could break out of our current situation and be able to live up to what players deserve.

We have been planning to make this move for some time now. Betonsoft and Rival were our main considerations for our move as they, together with RTG, are the best software platforms for US facing operators, at least IMHO.

By moving to become a stand alone Rival licensee, we hope to be able to offer faster payouts and better service, and a casino that is the best in it's class.

We stopped taking player deposits a while ago to make sure the least amount of player balances get trapped. If a player has any issues with a trapped balance, we will be glad to work with that player to ensure they receive fair treatment. We are making payouts, allowing players to use their balance in our other properties, and trying our best to make this as sooth as possible. The few bucks we would make from having players balances trapped is nothing to what we would lose in business, it would be insane for us to 'want to trap balances' as some are suggesting is our intention. That is like accusing us of burning cash to sell the ashes.

Our customer service is in place. We aren't going anywhere, just adjusting the core of our business, as I had promised in previous threads. In fact, if you look at my lasts posts, you will see me hinting at this move.

My apologies for any inconveniences this might cause our players, we hope to be up and running on our new platform shortly. I'll be sure to drop by this thread to answer any further questions, doubts or comments that you all may have.

Thanks for the reply Nicholas - I deposited a couple of times at BP, but mainly used iNetBet as my RTG of choice.

My backup RTG was always Rushmore, which left little room for you guys.

However, I only really play at one Rival currently (VRC, for those that care), so you switching to Rival may be the impetus I need to make BP my secondary Rival casino.

I'll watch this thread for further developments, and glad to hear you are actually paying people back their balances :)

OK, as usual, I am confused. They are switching to Rival, a stand alone, not a white label?

And, it seems this was a well thought out plan, yet no one thought they should notify their customers and give them an opportunity to get their money out first? And, they stuill think people should trust and believe in them?

Am I missing something?

I guess the question is...do we REALLY need another Rival?

There are not many choices right now with BetOnSoft.....and none of their casinos have any sort of voice here on the forums. So I think you could have really stood out going the BetOnSoft route....perhaps becoming the premiere casino using their software.

But good luck to you just the same:thumbsup:

I was owed quite a bit last week and paid in full on Monday. I like BetPhx and wish them luck as a rival casino. It took 10 business days, but that's what I was told up front when I withdrew.

10 business days.

I just can't believe that anyone finds that acceptable. Would 3 months be OK, as long as they said that upfront?

If players said "this is bs" and refused to play at casinos that hold their money hostage longer than 72 hours, places like BP would suddenly find a way to pay within that timeframe. Players get what they settle for - we need to send a message that our custom has far more worth.

I wonder if 80% of players will be bonus banned from day one via that super-efficient Rival database?

With all the hassles BP have created for themselves lately, I'd have thought the last thing they needed at present would be the teething problems of a software change.

Anyone reading the Rival complaints here and elsewhere could be forgiven for wondering why an operator like Bet Phoenix would consider such a troublesome provider, but there are probably other considerations in the mix that have influenced the decision.

I'm afraid I still do not like the fact that this was done without the professional courtesy of an email to clients before activities were halted to make the change.

A website notice and ongoing support notwithstanding, that was imo a mistake - and quite uncharacteristic, given Nicolas's diligent service and good communicating in this forum.

Time will tell if BP is able to make a purse out of a sow's ear by really good player service, sensible promos and faster payouts...many of us will be monitoring whether they can achieve that.

hi nicolas , so why wouldnt your company at least adivse your player base that your going to move platform maybe around a month ago ? realy dont think that your company your working for is realy that honest if you nothing to hide then you would have e mailed the players with notice.

On another note i know youve used rival before as a rep before moving to bet phoenix , i would take a stab at saying your casino shall have for more control on % payed etc etc with rival platform ,as many players here pretty much know that rival isnt that truthful when it comes down to there software & im only guessing but i think that somewhere behind the scenes that a casino can change without notice the rtp% , meaning your company could at least make more profit & maybe regain some of the losses made at rtg casinos , something just doesnt add up with your casino .

you as a rep is good im not saying that you dont come here to answer questions etc etc but clearly there is something wrong with bet phoenix , im still a member of your casino to which i dont play thatr often , but i still think that your casino has been burnt in one way or another & this is the reason to why your shifting softwares.

First, let me say that I am a huge Nicolas fan, and I think he is a fantastic rep; no matter what casino he represents. With that said, I am truly sad to see that Bet Phoenix is choosing to go the Rival route. I understand it will be a stand alone, however, I just don't like the idea. I have never deposited at a Rival casino, and I never will. I would have much rather have seen BetOnSoft, as Funeral said earlier.

As someone else alluded to earlier, we dont know what the parameters are for the house edge boxes.

It may well be that the the RTG values are the highest house edge allowed and the operator can only adjustments possible are downwards i.e higher rtp.

It may also be that the operator can only adjust SOME of the games. Just because a data box is there doesn't mean it will accept input. It may have been more convincing if the values had all been changed in the screenshot - in fact I would have thought if the 'super mole' had wanted to really make his point he would have done just that.

Now, these ideas might be wrong, but they are as credible as any other in the absence of an RTG operator to explain its functions.

It's going to be a field day for the conspiracy theorists, but the rest of us should remain calm and see what CM can find out.
