In the last couple of months I had quite some luck playing at bet365 casino. My balance reached six figure yesterday.

It was very weird when I was playing blackjack yesterday, the session was interrupted by the system and I could no longer enter my account, it shows in the page “We Couldn't Recognise Your Details”.I contacted the livechat assistant who told me that my account was suspended whilst “random security checks” were carried out.And I was told that nothing I can do but wait.

Is this normal? I don’t know where this “radom security check” came from.I was just wagering the maximum at blackjack table and there were a lot of up and downs, no bonus hassle or whatever. Well, it is a little bit inappropriate that they interrupt the session while the players are playing to run some “radom security check”, isn’t it?And they just suspend accounts for the “radom security check” without any notice? I tried to enter my login today details but it still failed. And I havn’t heard anything from bet365 yet.

I havn’t played at bet365 casino much since I lost quite a fortune serveral years ago playing the live blackjack. However,I believe bet365 is a very solid&prestigious sportsbook and casino and the balance in bet365 is even more secure than that in a e-wallet account. It is not very likely that they will look for trouble when the player start to win some money. That why I go to bet365 to play big.

Anybody has similar experience? How long will it take? Thx.
I’ll keep the thread updated.

Hey davidblue

I wouldn’t worry too much until you know for sure what is going to happen.
What I think is going on here is that they are assessing your account because they believe you are cheating.
This is nothing new I have heard many stories like this.
Most casinos have the idea that people always lose and when someone actually wins they take it very seriously, as if their games are rigged or broken.
My experience at bet365 has been positive but it wouldn't surprise me if they behaved poorly.

Ah, if that's all, there's nothing to worry about.

Even for a big outfit like Bet365, six figures is a fairly large balance.

You don't give your location, but some countries are scrutinized more closely than others.

You can contact the manager here https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/members/

Don't be surprised if you are asked for some supporting documentation.

This May they asked me to send my document for the KYC check.(I remember that they had done this once after I registered my account and requested a withdrawal, in the early years)

I sent the required material right after their request (in May this year) and got the following:

Thank you for submitting your documents as requested.

I am pleased to confirm that your identification documentation has been verified and your account has been updated accordingly. We will not require further identification documentation unless you subsequently change any of your details.

If you require any further assistance with regards to this, or any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our team are available 24 hours a day by Live Chat, via email support@customerservices365.com, freephone +800 12 365 365 or alternatively call +44 1782 684757 and we will be pleased to assist you.

Kind regards,

I agree that there is probably nothing to worry about. Calling it a "random" security check may be a bit of stretch, but it makes sense that since you just hit six figures, your account was probably automatically flagged so they can check your play for any "cheating".

It shouldn't take that long, they are usually quick with everything and since you appear to be a bit of a 'high roller' they will likely treat you well. Be sure to keep us updated on the situation, there are lots of people here to help if you need it.

I think there is nothing to worry about. Bet365 is extremely reputable gambling portal and even six figures isn't enough for them to start acting like rogue ;)

Very grateful for the above words.
Maybe I should worry about nothing.

I'll keep this updated.

My thoughts exactly. It is poor practice to throw a player off mid-session, and this is something the rogues tend to do. They are also handling this VERY badly considering this is a high roller, and one already ID verified in May. This is compounded by giving a deliberately vague reason as to why this EXTRAORDINARY action has been taken.

Random Security Check? BULLSHIT, they are checking the SOFTWARE because you have had an unusually positive variance swing near or at max bet.

I once carried out an experiment at Spin Palace, on a mere £1 bet unit. I set the game of Vegas Strip on autoplay, and ran it in bursts of 5000 hands, noting the results each time. These results had me SHOCKED! but in a GOOD way, and prompted me to carry on for 100,000 hands. At the end, I was over 800 units AHEAD. This was a win of £800 on a £1 stake. On a £100 stake, this would have been an £80,000 win, and on the £500 table max would have been £400,000 - a long way into 6 figures.

Either MGS Vegas Strip is RIGGED (and it went wrong), or there is NOTHING WRONG with players occasionally having such VERY long periods of positive variance, and it does NOT mean they are cheating.

If Bet365 claim this is cheating, then Microgaming has been cheating players for YEARS!

The fact that the player was kicked out mid-session suggests this is anything BUT "routine", but rather a "panic" reaction to something they believe is "wrong" happening in the software.

Funnily enough, when the player is DOWN 800 units, the casino would not DREAM of suspending the account and checking the software, and when players have complained about these huge downward swings on Blackjack, they are assured that nothing is wrong, and they were just unlucky.

The OP LOST a fortune at Bet365 when playing live Blackjack, and Bet365 didn't have a problem with this, yet when he wins it back, it has them sufficiently worried to run "emergency checks".

The ONLY way the OP could be "cheating" is if the software is NOT RANDOM, and he has spotted a repeating pattern in the cards, and has adopted a strategy to take advantage of it. This is EXACTLY what the notorious Cipher alleged, and built a strategy engine that could (allegedly) predict when a future hand would be a player win from analysing a run of previous hands and results. the selling point was that you bet low when this "engine" predicted a loss, and bet high when it predicted a win.

Did it work?

Do you see Cipher around now, or for that matter casinos getting "rinsed" through Blackjack?

What I think is going on here is that they are assessing your account because they believe you are cheating.

Bet365 uses Playtech: I can't believe the software is rigged...and even if the OP found a pattern in the game and took advantage of it, this can't be called cheating, isn't it?
In any case, Bet365 is one of the best place to play. Over the years they have established a reputation for excellence in all aspects of gambling (betting, casino, poker, etc.), you shouldn't worry too much.

I for one hate Bet365 and have never had any "Luck" playing blackjack there, I find it simular to many casinos with "interesting" runs on cards, especially when betting into the higher limits. I have had runs of 20+ losing hands in a row there in the past and closed my account a long time ago and avoid like the plague.

Your experience with a "security check" davidblue does not surprise me at all. Goodluck and I hope it all works out for you though.

Thank you all for the above concerns and advices.

Unfortunately I have not heard anything from bet365 yet (actually they just suspended the account and did not give any notice or information except I contacted their live chat once I mentioned in the original post, by which I was told that I could do nothing but wait and they can not provide the exact time of this random security check).

And the account still remains “not recognized” now.

I don’t know any system or pattern and did not use any to bet, I didn’t even change the stake of each bet too much. The way I wagered is rather “stupid” as more than 90% of my bets are $1,000 per hand blackjack flat bets. And I don’t think there is actually a way that you can “cheat” the casino software by playing blackjack as many of you mentioned this above. You can only make a wise or poor decision on how to play each hand. And no matter how good you are, in the long run the house will always win as there is an “edge” I think in every game.( Well I consider it to be the “Commission” charged by the casino for the service they provide) Actually I have met quite a lot of up and downs ( the biggest drop was around $30,000 I think) during the last couple of months.

I hope the reason for what happen to me is that they set a line for player’s balance and when the line is exceeded then an alarm is triggered. And the staff will temporary suspend the account to check if everything is allright.

I don’t know what the next step will be. However the last two days were not very pleasant experience for player (Maybe I can call myself a high roller.) It is rather annoying to kick the player out in the middle of a game and suspend the account for “random security check” without any email or other notice. If I didn’t ask the live chat on my own initiative, I didn’t even know what happened. And for two days, I still have not received any thing from the casino.

I’ll keep this updated.

If you were betting $1000 per hand, a swing to a 6 figure balance is nothing unusual. It is a swing of 100 units, well within expectation, so WTF are Bet365 playing at:confused:

They have CREATED this problem themselves by the WAY they decided to do this check, as though it was in a PANIC, and had to be done by shutting down the player right now, even though the checks could not even BEGIN until "office hours".

If this really WAS "routine", it would be a "background" operation, and as far as the player was concerned, they would be able to carry on playing as normal. Only a WITHDRAWAL would need to be delayed until the checks were complete.

Something just doesn't seem right about this, and it looks like they ARE checking for some kind of "cheating". They will "clam up" now, and not answer any questions, or give vague answers as they have already done on the live chat.

About an hour ago I wrote an email to inquire about this and have got no reply.

However just now I found that my account is unlocked.Seems that the problem is solved.

Maybe they need to wait for week days to do the security check.

And I hope the games of my future play will not become tighter after they checked my account. We will see.

Thank you all.

They have limited my bets to $200 per hand.

I was playing serval hands just now and once again the game was interrupted.

When I re-enter my account, the max bet has been changed again.

Now it is $50 max for original blackjack, and $20 for blackjack surrender and blackjack switch.

Yep, time to call it a day and also IMO say good-bye to Bet365 - this is no way to treat a high-roller.

you think they'd welcome this player! now he will never have the chace to lose it back to them. they are fools, move on.

I agree, that definitely wasn't the smartest move. Cash out your winnings and move on to one of the numerous other casinos that will gladly accept a high roller. Really surprised that they did that.

Lots of stupid decisions by casinos lately that are going to hurt them in the long run. Seems they just stopped thinking ahead more than a day or two (or even a few hours, if someone is betting $1000/hand they can lose a six figure balance pretty quickly). Makes no sense to lower the max bet, especially when the player is up a decent amount.

Consider this "A close shave".

It is now CLEAR that they thought you were cheating somehow, but found nothing when they investigated.

Now, although they found nothing, they are clearly STILL of the opinion that they didn't CATCH you this time, rather than that you were not cheating.

Now is the time to clear out your account. They have dropped a ready made reason in your lap. You are a high roller, but they are no longer prepared to let you play at this level, so you have now found a different casino willing to let you bet big, so are taking your money there.

Maybe not all at once, just enough to reduce your balance to something more suited to the new bet limits, making them think you are still prepared to at least try with the new limits.

Later, just tell them it was no fun at such low bets.

Just DON'T pick a fight whilst they still have your money, as they might reopen the investigation.

I would do as all the others have said davidblue, time to move on. Get your money out of there as quick as you can and move on.

There are a few other casinos that I would classify as way better than Bet365 to go to.

Personally I think Bet365 are crooks, but that is just my opinion from my experience with them in the past.

Why all these supposedly reputed outfits making such hasty and detrimental decisions?

I am astonished that this is happening. If the OP lost, there was no way that the maximums would have been reduced. Its unethical behaviour.

There's something I don't understand, how can someone cheat at online blackjack?
Shouldn't be Bet365 interest to keep the players playing as the more the play the more they lose?

I'd be initiating a withdrawal if I was the OP.

I've always had nice things to say about Bet365, but I'm really surprised by their actions in this case.

No email to alert the player that security checks were completed. No reply to an email. No explanation and lowering bet limits twice! $50 a hand for someone that's been playing $1000 is a slap in the face IMO.

My biggest complaint about Bet365 has been poor bonuses for low rollers. Support has told me that they are higher for larger players. But it doesn't look much like they want high rollers either!

Congratulations to the OP for having to make such a substantial withdrawal!

PS... did you ever take my suggestion to contact the rep here? If so, did you receive any response?
