Mine is not a winning story but it's my best bingo memory.

My guy's mom loved to play bingo and before she got so sick, she was a pretty avid player. Her health had declined so that she had to use a walker to get around, was almost blind and her hearing was pretty bad too.

She was reminiscing about playing bingo so I told her I would take her to the local VFW bingo night. She was ecstatic. She got to visit all her old friends and have an outing doing something she really enjoyed.

As for me, well it was interesting. She couldn't see the cards very well, couldn't hear the caller very well either, so I spent most of my time watching her cards but she had a ball.

WOW....back in 1989, $14500.00 was HUGE money!!! May I ask what you both did with it?

I only played bingo a few times in my life with my friend and her mom, (probably in the early 90's) we never won, I found it quite boring, and haven't played since.

My daughters grandmother plays every week, (she says she wins quite often at one place, never a lot, but over $100) and calls out the numbers every other week. My daughter and her grandmother also get together and volunteer to call out numbers and check cards at their yearly church fair.

I went to bingo 25 years ago on April 19th. I'd worked all day, 6 of them in labour. Came home, got my stuff ready for the hospital, my hubby was at work. Restless, I walked over to the legion hall a couple of blocks away and played chip bingo and kept looking at my watch, waiting for the contractions to become regular. I usually played 18 cards, I couldn't keep track of eight. I miss playing bingo with the chips.

After Bingo was over at 11, I walked home, and just after midnight my water broke.

Great story to be told generation to generation! Can you imagine your great great grandchildren talking about this? It's so cool, I hope they keep this story alive.

You are one brave chick!!! When I went into labor with both my children, I was in such a panic...hahahahahaha. My ex boss went into labor and cooked herself a hamburger and french fries before going to the hospital...hahahaha.

(Well, ok, I had a right to panic with the second one, she was about 6 weeks early, but not the first, everything went by the book, except they had to break my water)

Back in 92, a friend a I played Bingo at some place in Portland. It was the last $600 blackout and a lady in front of us had just told us to shut up because she didn't like us talking.

Needed G53, came out 3 balls later and I yelled Bingo as loud as I could. Of course she didn't turn around and congratulate me...

I have many, many fond bingo memories back when I was married. My wife used to go and I didn't.... It was great.
