Banks in California / Oregon / Washington?

Hey guys - I need some names of banks that are good banks in California, Oregon or Washington.

They need to be UP TO DATE with the withdrawals. In other words - if I use my Credit/Debit card - they take it out immediately and they do NOT put it back on the account. The balance is always CORRECT.

Allow at least 400 - 500 per ATM transaction.

Not charge you excessively for customer service transactions...

Have decent customer service - and while not exactly gambling friendly - at least not so dang nosey as to get into your business.


Anyone got a good bank?

I'm leaving Key Bank for this reason:

I had an ATM not give me the money - the receipt even said Transaction Canceled. I disputed it.

It charged me OVER the amount that I requested and I got no money.

For 2 weeks Keybank kept the money - and because the bank charged OVER the amount - I called in - and the bank charged me 1.50 each time I called and talked to a customer service rep about my situation. So my bank with over drawn - then they charged me 3 overdraft amounts for going over... (from their phone call charges)

And then they TURNED OFF my credit card.

OK - so - I am leaving this horrid horrid horrid bank.

It took them 10 business days to even return the money to my account - but they didn't even return the NSF fees - (that should have NEVER been there in the first place... LOL!)

So they have LOST my business - and I don't want to EVER have a bank like that again.

So - any suggestions on good banks?

I would try US Bank or Bank of the West. Unless if your looking for a local bank then I wouldn't have any idea. I just know in another forum I'm apart of these two banks come highly recommended because of them being friendly to people who have had issues with returned checks and all. So my guess is that wouldn't be overly nosey in people's business either as long you didn't give them any reason to.

Wow been there done that. my favorite is when I've deposited say 1,000 cash thru their driveup atm at the bank and then the following tuesday get snail mail saying they put a hold on the 'check' I deposited until it clears. idiots. and apparently they are not familiar with their own atm attached to their own building. anyway don't get me started.
I loved my wamu but now it is chase and have a bad feeling on how long this will last. will know more later I presume. I was considering opening an account at lst regional bank which has 7 locations in my area (so. cal.) but am not sure about your area. they cashed a casino (play united) $2700 check for me after everything closed down for us in what dec. of 2006. What a place that was. treated me like royalty in my crummy jeans and flip flops that day. they are about 30 miles from me so just haven't resorted to that yet. Yet.

I'm checking into sms depositing today - ever hear of that method? was told it is Very usa friendly. we will see shortly.

Hiya: BOA is the answer. I never had any issues with them in regards to withdrawing/depositing from gambling sites. EVER.....
