Are you playing NetEnt LESS or MORE

Even if my post doesn't seem so, it was quite a rush job: i just read your question and answered, without really reading the other posts..

Wanted to add: great thread mate! very interesting topic, and fun to see how we all perceive the changes in regards to game availability throughout the last few years:

From the download Casino era, and the rise of Instant Play sites (NetEnt most notably) towards the multiplatform/multiprovider standard we are currently at...

In that regard a lot has changed, and not all good obviously, but in terms of products available - i am definitely happy with my many choices!

There's also a very obvious consensus to be found among most of us :D Who would've guessed?:p
I sure hope providers like BTG, Thunderkick, Quickspin and Yggdrasil will see NetEnt and MicroGaming make a better effort!

Just stop churning out those useless clones, we got it by now! Focus on amazing new products, and keep up with the rest...
Save the money of their production, and put it towards cool in-game tournament prize-pools, as shown by Yggdrasil. Focus on Gamification and Player Loyalty, as shown by both Yggdrasil and Quickspin, with their Instant Bonuses, Super Spins and coin system... i could go on!

But i won't :p

Thanks. Absolutely and jokes aside. Times have really changed. Being a Netent or MG casino counts for nothing these days.

I'm very interested to know what type of market share Netent and MG have lost to the smaller guys. Is it as big as I think it is? This thread was intended to get a feel for it.

Like you mentioned - they seem to lack idea's and churn out too many clones. It will be interesting to see what they come up with. I mean Netent literally ruined many of their chances with their movie licences.

The main thing that has ruined netent games is their god aweful and now familiar Netbent Variance - “plays high variance, pays low variance”.

These are very Casino friendly products- i.e the chances of a cashout playing them is much lower, certainly if playing with a bonus - the big wins just aren't there.

Only thing is they are just absolutely awful for players to play.

Maybe the only one to buck the trend has been Jungle Spirit, and noticeably this plays very similarly to the massively popular BTG games, lots of smaller wins and the occasional montser. So effectively “plays low variance pays high variance (occasionaly)” - similar to how DOA plays and certainly how Bonanza plays. Pretty much the majority of Casino’s that host BTG will have this as their first slot on their featured list and rightly so- its probably making them a shitload.

Also testinomy to the quality of these slots in the smattering of posts saying how the designers should be shot / these new games should be banned they are so addicitve etc.

That’s got be the ultimate badge of honour for a slot design team to read when you think about it.

So its a shame that Netent didn’t make hay while the sun shined and take further risks with their products, instead of churning out the same old. But they won’t be the first company to rest on their laurels, and they certainly won’t be the last.

Check out Netent"s latest financial report, profits and sales are up sharply, with the UK and Italy being the biggest contributors. Go figure.

Ive seen WMS, BTG, Playtech, Pariplay, Thunderkick and other brands kick out 6 reelers. Im sure that they can see the hype with them of late. What do we get from Netent?

Twin Spin Deluxe :D - LOL

Nate

That was a massive opportunity missed and it arguably gave us all a clue as to what Netent are about now. I remember watching Mr. D's slot review vid of that game and his huge disappointment when he realised what "Deluxe" actually looked like. "Lite" would have been more accurate.

Possibly the worst slot sequel ever made and a candidate for Epic Fail of 2017.

After not having touched NetEnt for ages I see myself playing their games at least once in a while these days. Not doing me any favors though.
